Chapter 757: Chapter 757 Zombie Count
Melody’s sudden change was still questionable—was it genuine growth, or just clever self-preservation? Maybe she was simply biding her time, trying to grow stronger before starting her schemes all over again.
But Kisha didn’t care.
She averted her gaze from Melody, who was now actively helping Ethan. Earlier, she had felt Melody’s fearful eyes on her, and when she turned to look, she saw the girl staring at her—flustered and afraid.
Kisha scoffed. So now Melody finally realized the truth—that she’d been nothing more than an ant trying to challenge an elephant. It was laughable. And now that she had witnessed Kisha’s real power, she was probably starting to reflect on all those foolish provocations in the past.
As Kisha turned her attention back to the battlefield, she took a moment to assess their progress. Glancing around, she realized they had already covered a significant distance from their starting point—nearly a quarter of the way to their destination. But what truly caught her eye was the data flashing beside her screen:
[Zombies Eliminated]
[Normal Zombies: 100 / 1,570
Normal Evolved Zombies: 78 / 876
Evolved Zombies: 8 / 356
High-Level Evolved Zombies: 2 / 189
Potential Zombie King: 0 / 1]
Kisha inhaled a shaky breath as her eyes scanned the numbers. Nearly three thousand zombies to eliminate if she wanted to complete the mission? It was a high number.
Sure, it didn’t compare to the horde that had stormed HOPE Base just days ago—but still, damn. There were less than thirty of them now, barely a few dozen, and the number of evolved and high-level zombies was overwhelming.
It wasn’t just a fight anymore—it felt like a murky death trap, one carefully laid to crush anyone foolish enough to step into it.
Kisha let out a wry smile. Clearly, they still had a long way to go before this mission was done. Drawing in a deep breath, she doubled down on her efforts.
The Rainbow Cube expanded, trapping even more zombies within its shimmering walls as she intensified her assault on the high-level evolved ones.
One particularly agile, high-level, evolved zombie tried to slip past her, darting with sharp, calculated movements. But the moment Kisha had locked eyes on it, it was already doomed.
She had marked it, and nothing marked by her ever got away. Before it could even reach cover to regroup, its head exploded mid-run—sniped from afar by her ‘Telekinesis Sub: Energy Burst skill.’
Maybe it had been trying to test the range of her abilities, curious to see if it could outmaneuver her. Unfortunately for it, Kisha was in the zone—and right now, nothing was getting past her.
She was blowing off steam—after the stress coming from this second phase of the Constellation’s test, Kisha needed an outlet. And what better way than turning her frustration into pure carnage?
Pop!
“Everyone, focus on taking out the low-level zombies! Leave the high-level ones to me and my husband!” Kisha’s voice rang out across the battlefield. “Just kill what’s in front of you—no need to choose!”
True to her word, Kisha and Duke focused their firepower on the evolved and high-level zombies. She refused to waste time or energy on the weaklings. Those were for the rest of the team—to keep them busy, to keep them useful.
Meanwhile, she targeted every high-level zombie that dared to creep toward her teammates. Heads burst one after another with pinpoint precision, her telekinetic strikes intercepting potential ambushes before they could land.
Kisha made sure that not a single one of her team would fall to a sneak attack on her watch.
Duke unleashed all of his area-of-effect (AOE) attacks in rapid succession, barely feeling any fatigue thanks to Kisha’s support skills. With her buffs keeping him in peak condition, he moved like a storm through the battlefield.
Between skills, he alternated to raw physical power—his spear swept in wide arcs, infused with aura, cutting down dozens with every strike. The rush of power surged through him like a drug, and he was starting to get drunk on the adrenaline.
Kisha, on the other hand, was an unstoppable force in her own right. She cycled through her three energy sources with practiced precision, switching between them so fluidly that she never once needed to pause—let alone reach for a black vial of liquid to replenish herself. Her regeneration rate was off the charts, replenishing energy faster than she could expend it.

The steady stream of notifications made her grin widen. With her aura now at 13, Kisha didn’t waste a second—she infused all her floating daggers with aura, each blade shimmering with deadly power.
The moment she did, their speed and precision increased drastically, slicing through zombies with terrifying efficiency and power.
They pushed forward with unstoppable momentum, carving a path of destruction until they finally reached the main entrance—the place where the potential Zombie King awaited. But just before she kicked the doors open, Kisha glanced at her screen again to check the latest kill stats.
[Zombies Eliminated]
[Normal Zombies: 859 / 1,570
Normal Evolved Zombies: 595 / 876
Evolved Zombies: 123 / 356
High-Level Evolved Zombies: 16 / 189
Potential Zombie King: 0 / 1]
Seeing the updated kill count, Kisha glanced up at the towering iron doors ahead and let out a low chuckle.
Perhaps the potential Zombie King thought it was being clever—hiding its strongest pawns inside the building, ready to trap them in a coordinated ambush. It probably believed surrounding itself with a horde would guarantee victory.
But Kisha wasn’t so easily shaken.
She checked the map on her screen, eyes narrowing at the glowing red clusters. Oddly enough, the area just beyond the doors no longer displayed individual red dots to indicate enemy positions.
Instead, a large white circle sat in the center, completely encircled by a sea of solid red. It was so densely packed with enemies that the dots had merged together, forming one massive, indistinguishable red mass.
“That’s not a defense,” Kisha murmured with a smirk. “That’s a death trap… for us.”
To make matters worse, the factory wasn’t just a ground-level trap—it had a second and third floor, and based on the map, those levels were teeming with zombies too.
But what truly made Kisha’s heart skip a beat was the ominous sight far ahead: a single, massive black dot at the far end of the factory building.
Her breath caught in her throat. If red indicated danger and enemies… then what did black mean?
“Death. It means death, Host…”
008’s voice broke the silence, low and foreboding, sending a chill down Kisha’s spine. She swallowed hard and took a slow, deep breath.
“Host, just so you know, I had no idea this was part of the mission. Please don’t get mad at me.”
That follow-up made Kisha snort. A flicker of frustration surged through her—but she couldn’t help the twitch of a smile. Typical 008, already trying to wash its hands clean of whatever insane mission the Constellation had cooked up this time.
“Everyone, get ready!” Kisha’s voice cut through the tension, steady and commanding. “It’s going to get more dangerous inside. I need you to split into four groups and stick together—no straying, no distractions. There are stronger zombies waiting, but don’t let fear take control. The moment you panic, you’ll expose yourself to even more threats.”
“Understood, Young Madam!” the team responded in unison, their voices laced with determination.
