“Is this the Minister of War?” Treniel’s expressions darkened. Whether the mission succeeded or failed, the Minister of War should have been dead. So how was he still alive? Was this the reason everything had gone downhill?

The Cardinal ignored the instructions and the Emperor’s courtesy as he noticed another presence in the hall. It belonged to Yu Lin who also walked past him to stand next to the Emperor’s throne.

“Also, why is that girl following you?” he asked.

“I can’t do anything about it. The two Great Elders said that they needed some private time with each other, so they went back to their room. They left the girl with me so I could show her around.”

Eren rubbed his forehead like a troubled uncle. “They are really treating me like a babysitter. But after what happened today, I couldn’t deny this small request.”
