My Boss Is Secretly A Softie - Chapter 63
Chapter 63: Fury
“WHERE IS ELARA?!” A short-haired brunette with stormy blue eyes holding a long-haired lady with peach eyes declared in anger.
Terra shriveled. She shook her head furiously to show her ignorance but Star wasn’t buying it. She pulled their face close together, and she suddenly started having flashbacks of their childhood.
She paled. Star was more than ready to beat it out of her if she had to. It didn’t diminish her love one bit— it was just her own method of friendship.
‘What did I do to fall in the hands of this gangster QAQ.’
Funnily enough, apart from her attitude, everything else about Star was gangsta, even to her family.
“I swear I don’t know!”
Star gritted her teeth, “I swear I will hit you in place of that little thwart!”
“Star, please calm down!” John implored.
Terra faced the male a couple of feet away from them with a sarcastic look. How nice, he’ll probably save her by running out of the door when things get too hectic.
John: ( ̄ε ̄)
Terra: (¬¬)
“You say?!” Star turned to him with beastly anger.
“Never mind.”
Terra:…
“Just say where!” she shook the stubborn lady who remained with her stance.
She refused to believe she didn’t know. There was no way Terra would, despite her reckless behavior, not keep tabs on Elara, most especially an amnesiac one!
“… So you let her go not knowing where she is?!” Star’s eyes glinted secretly, she’d have to use a different approach!
“Huh?!” Terra looked genuinely startled, and she smirked; it seemed to be working!
“Yes or no?”
“This—I… I… Eh… she… yes…? No…! Noway!” Terra stammered, lost on how to reply without getting herself in trouble.
She flinched on noticing the demon-like brunette glaring daggers at her.
“Fine, yes I do know! But before you go beat her up, can’t we work something out first?!”
Star paused. Her car was destroyed along with every single thing inside; there were no items spared. Her room was devastated, and the little imp who did it all had the gall to brag and then ran away cowardly. And somehow… she should calm down?
“Hahaha,” Star laughed loudly, “Haha hahaha.”
She let go of Terra, who scurried away towards John, who glared at her disapprovingly.
Star eventually stopped after a brief moment of madness and then let out a large sigh.
“I can’t even… Be mad at her,” she muttered softly; her face was bitter, and her eyes were wet with tears.
“You know what hurts more?” she whispered to no one in particular, “The fact that she might just hate me. If this is but a tantrum, then I’m fine; I’ve done worse when I was young. But why does it feel…”
She flopped down to the couch exhaustedly, “She hates me, for real?”

“… Mr Terrence?” Anne muttered incredulously.
Speculating that the CEO was with Elara was one thing but it being real was another! It was like speculating the multi-universe was a thing, and then it was actually being proven to exist!
It was as mind-blowing as flat earthers being right— the CEO was really involved with Elara?!
“Yes,” he responded albeit with a frown… Or at least it seemed like it.
“Why are you here with Elara?”
‘I should be asking you that!’
The CEO of Neva, the number one entertainment industry in the whole world, the fifth richest man in the world, and… And… The heartthrob of a million people from various places of the world.
The most wanted bachelor of all time… it wasn’t that she was a huge fan singing all these praises; she just had to list all these out to be sure he was the CEO she knew.
Because to her it was incomprehensible for Elara to be involved with that type of person. The CEO wasn’t just anyone you could just befriend— he wasn’t amiable at all.
He had zero friends and companions, was known for his polite yet distant attitude, and there were even rumors that he was on bad terms with his family.
Which meant this largely unsocial human being was close to Elara. Not to mention their large gap in status— wait, for all she could tell maybe there could be more to Elara than she knew.
After all, some rich people were just like that… And she had been treating her like a substitute babysitter. Was she fucked?
“Mrs Anne you haven’t answered my question?” the man pressed on, his voice harsher than before.
Anne’s eyes watered. “Sir… I apologize, she was just missing for so long and I’ve been searching for her and… I didn’t know about your relationship, I— please don’t fire me, I’ll keep it a secret…”
Terrence blinked. He glanced at the fair hand on his lap, pinching it, and felt his face flush. He pulled down his hat with a tiny smile, geez, now even his Ela thought he was bullying the poor widow. He was just asking out of curiosity.
He already knew his Ela was close to Mrs Anne. He knew everyone his Ela was close to— that was a fact.
“Calm down Mrs Anne. I simply asked a question, why would I fire you? I know you’re not the type to run your mouth.”
Anne looked up, despite the male’s face being fully covered, she could tell his sincerity.
‘Was his voice always this nice and I didn’t know it? He really is the whole package, damn.’
“Thank you, sir. It’s like I said… I happened to chance upon her here and then you came…”
“Did you tell her about your situation?” he asked, snapping Elara from her daze.
She had been rioting against this whole thing within her. She didn’t want this annoying meeting! She just wanted to go home and lie in bed!
“Yeah,” her voice was begrudged, “she didn’t believe me…”
“No, no no! I most definitely do!” Anne panicked; damn did Elara want to ruin her that much?
She was just trying to be nice T~T.
“Well, now you know, Mrs. Anne, I believe I can trust you to keep your mouth shut, correct?”
“Definitely!” sure, she wanted to humor Emily and tell her that her radical conspiracy actually turned out to be true, but she’d rather not risk her career for a brief, sweet moment of gossip.
She wasn’t sure how but she felt the male smile gratefully. “I’m glad my Ela has someone in the company who cares enough to search for her whereabouts. I don’t normally do this but…”
He brought out a card and handed it over to the lady who received it with shock.
“Contact me if you really need my help, but don’t abuse it, Mrs Anne. I trust your judgment. We’ll be leaving.”
Before she could say a word and without having the person she had been searching for all this while speaking a second word to her, the duo left the cafe, dragging all eyes with them till they were completely gone.
She blinked, helplessly caressing the black card with gorgeous golden designs. Today was now officially the most confusing day of her life…
Wait, now that she thought about it, did he just say, his Ela?!
“….”
Maybe it was better to just mind her own business. But—! Her author side was itching!!
She paused and then burst out laughing with gladness.
“Ha…” she groaned while stretching like a cat.
All this while she had been looking for her, she was fine. There was no resentment just relief.
She was relieved to know Elara was fine. She was relieved to know that someone like the CEO cared about her— it’d be almost impossible for anyone to harm her.
She was relieved to know that her search wasn’t in vain and had yielded good fruits. And most importantly, she was relieved to know that Elara didn’t just cut her off.
It was a situation out of her control. Although she was curious and a bit worried as to how the sweet lady got amnesia along with her sudden personality change that was all minor priorities.
The main thing had been solved. Elara was safe and sound and that was all that mattered.
“Oh well, good thing that chapter ended well.” she stood up while picking up her pink polka dot bag, “Let’s go back home and celebrate.”

[Bam!]
Elara squinted angrily at the blushing male who cornered her to the wall as soon as they arrived home.
His large build blocked her whole view, his flashy whitish-blonde hair was as eye-catching as ever, and his excited look, like that of a puppy getting a new chew toy, left her heart racing while simultaneously leaving her speechless.
“You…” he whispered lowly with glowing eyes, softly caressing her cheeks leaving her squinting harder, “Called?”
Observing the panting male who looked like he couldn’t wait a second more to devour her, Elara smirked; eh, what the heck.
She dragged him down to her height. Their eyes met and their lips followed.
