My Celestial Ascension - Chapter 725
Chapter 725: Shattering Arrogance
“What?! This is unbelievable! We’re the summoned heroes—we have a duty to save the world from the Demons and defeat the Demon Emperor!” Zane shouted, his voice full of rage and disbelief as he stared at Yuan with murderous eyes.
“Zane, don’t do anything. If he really wanted to, he could kill us all in an instant. We need to control our emotions before it’s too late and we make another reckless mistake,” Ayumi said seriously, her face filled with worry for Kael’s well-being.
“What are you saying? Are you seriously telling us to just stand here and watch Kael get beaten by that bastard?! Are you really suggesting that, Ayumi?!” Zane snapped, furious at her suggestion.
How could she say that? How could she ask them to stand aside and let their leader and friend be humiliated by some random man? And they weren’t just anyone—they were heroes summoned from another world to save this one from evil.
“That’s right! Kael is our friend! There’s no way we’re just going to sit back and watch him suffer! We have to save him!”
“Indeed! We’re the heroes summoned to this world—we’re the strongest in existence. If we work together, we can bring that bastard down!”
“Exactly. He’s human, just like the rest of us—there’s no reason to fear him!”
The other heroes looked at each other with fire in their eyes, ready to jump in and rescue Kael from Yuan’s hands. They didn’t realize they were walking straight into a disaster that would crush their pride—and their bodies.
“Let’s go! We’re saving Kael from that bastard!” Zane shouted, his determination blazing as he took a step forward.
“I’m warning you all for the last time! You’re about to make a ‘huge’ mistake! Stop this nonsense right now—before it’s too late!” Ayumi yelled, desperate to stop them.
But her words fell on deaf ears. They didn’t listen. They drew their weapons, prepared to take on Yuan and save their friend.
“You’re all going to die…” Ayumi whispered under her breath, trembling from head to toe with fear for her companions’ lives.
Beside her, several of the female heroes stayed frozen, unwilling to act. They trusted Ayumi’s judgment and ability, knowing full well that picking a fight with Yuan and his wives was suicidal. Her warning alone had been enough for them.
“You bunch of fools! What the hell do you think you’re doing?! Don’t even think about moving a muscle!”
Suddenly, a bone-chilling voice rang through the air and pierced into the heroes’ ears, paralyzing them on the spot. Their hearts felt as though they were about to be torn from their chests if they so much as breathed wrong.
“Do you think mongrels like you could even touch Yuan? He is untouchable. And I won’t let any of you fools disturb him.” Lily spoke coldly as she released a terrifying wave of killing intent, locking their bodies in place, rendering them completely immobile.
The intensity of her aura was so overwhelming that several heroes vomited blood and collapsed, unconscious, with blood streaming from their noses—shocking everyone in the hall.
Without even lifting a finger, Lily had incapacitated some of the summoned Heroes. Even Emperor Philip and Empress Selena were silently astonished by her overwhelming strength.
‘W-What the hell is this feeling? Why can’t I move even a single muscle?!’
Their faces turned deathly pale as the crushing pressure overtook them. No matter how much they struggled, their limbs wouldn’t respond. They were completely at her mercy.
“All of you—do not move a muscle. If you defy my words, then prepare to lose your lives,” Lily’s voice thundered through the throne hall, her beautiful face twisted into a cold, wicked grin.
The threat drained every last ounce of color from the heroes’ faces. For the first time, they felt real despair. And they understood—Lily wasn’t bluffing. If they defied her, she would kill them all.
Helpless, they could only stand and watch as Yuan continued to beat Kael into the ground. Watching their leader get crushed while being unable to move was a nightmare that shattered their pride and hope.
Meanwhile, on the other side of the hall, Valeria was tossing Archbishop Gregor around like a rag doll, humiliating him in front of everyone. She didn’t even look like she was trying, yet Gregor couldn’t land a single blow or defend himself.
“You? The second most powerful member of the Holy Church? You’re weak. Pathetic. Honestly, it feels like I’m fighting a toddler,” Valeria mocked, grinning as if the entire fight bored her.
“You’ll regret this, you ungrateful bitch! You’re going to hell for this! The Goddess will punish you for your sins!” Archbishop Gregor screamed in pain, every breath revealing another broken bone.
Valeria sneered, her eyes glowing with contempt. “You think a ‘fake goddess’ can harm me? You poor, deluded fool.”
Then, she resumed her assault—merciless and methodical. She would break him piece by piece, limb by limb, until he begged for mercy. Only then would she grant him a swift end.
Only then would the Holy Church stop looking down on the other nations—and it would surely shatter their arrogance, reducing them to nothing more than a laughingstock across the continent.
“You’re going to pay for messing with my family. Don’t worry—you’ll savor every moment, every sensation of pain as I tear your limbs apart one by one,” Valeria said with a purely evil smile, looking down at him like he was nothing more than prey.

“You’re making a huge mistake by doing this to me! The Holy Church… the Holy Church won’t let this slide! You’re all doomed the moment you declare war on us!”
Archbishop Gregor burst into manic laughter, looking at Valeria and the others with twisted amusement, even as pain wracked his body so intensely it was nearly unbearable.
‘This pain… it feels like all my bones have been shattered by this bitch! I need to get out of here—now! I can’t die here!’ Gregor screamed inwardly, panic surging through him.
He reached for his teleportation device—an extremely rare and priceless treasure.
Only two such artifacts existed in the entire Holy Light Empire, both held by the Holy Church. It was a one-time-use relic from ancient times, created by a legendary Mage who had mastered Space Magic—an extremely rare and now-extinct form of magic.
Such an artifact was impossible to recreate in the current era, which made it one of the Church’s most treasured possessions. However, just as he was about to reach into his magic pouch, Valeria grabbed his hand tightly, a vicious grin spreading across her face.
“Did you really think I’d let you escape punishment? Do you take me for a fool? How amusing,” Valeria sneered. “It’s time for you to suffer.”
With that, she planted her foot on his chest—and with just a bit of force, ripped off his arm without mercy. It was cruel. Vicious.
“AAGHHH!” Archbishop Gregor howled as Valeria tore his limb off, a scream of agony erupting from his lungs as pain beyond imagining flooded his senses.
“Now then… let’s move on to your second limb. Oh boy, this is going to be so much fun!” Valeria laughed wildly, her voice echoing through the throne hall.
She continued her gruesome work, tearing off each of his limbs one by one until he had none left. Blood poured from his body in torrents, staining the hard marble floor beneath him.
The gruesome sight caused many of the heroes to vomit on the spot. Never in their lives had they seen anything so horrifying—it was their first time witnessing such cruelty.
“T-This is awful… That woman is a monster… How can she do something so inhumane and still smile?” one of Ayumi’s friends muttered, covering their face, legs trembling from fear.
“I-It’s hard to believe… She’s torturing Archbishop Gregor with such cruelty… It’s unbearable. It’s terrifying…” Ayumi whispered, her expression filled with despair.
She could hardly believe what she was seeing. Yet she couldn’t stop Valeria. Even if she wanted to, Yuan’s voice echoed in her mind, warning her not to act recklessly.
Meanwhile, Yusn had heated Kael’s body to such an extreme that he could no longer move a single muscle—he could only groan in agony.
Regret was clearly written on his face as he looked at Yuan through half-lidded eyes, struggling to believe what had happened.
All the arrogance and confidence had drained from him.
He was utterly defeated—and the worst part was that he couldn’t even lift a finger to defend himself against Yuan’s relentless attacks. Yuan was overwhelmingly powerful.
Before him, Kael was nothing. He had no idea how many times Yuan had struck him—he only knew pain, coursing through every inch of his body. The agony made death seem like a mercy. His pride as a Hero had shattered like fragile glass, and he doubted he would ever recover.
“All that arrogance—for what? What did you think you could accomplish just because you’re a Hero?” Yuan sneered, his voice full of scorn. “A Hero should protect the innocent—and yet you defend evil. It disgusts me!”
Yuan then crushed Kael’s remaining bones under his foot, watching the pain distort his face. “Because of people’s greed, they slaughtered innocents from other races. They enslaved them, stole their freedom. Is that your so-called justice? Disgusting!”
Yuan growled. “I could destroy the Holy Church right now if I wanted to—but I won’t. Someone else will have that honor. She and her race have suffered more than enough because of them.”
“They’ll pay for their sins. I’ll make sure none of them survive,” Yuan added, glancing at Mireya and Sylvia with a smile.
“I’m letting you live only because this is your first offense. But next time—I won’t hesitate. I’ll kill you before you can blink.” Yuan warned Kael, lifting his foot and finally letting him breathe freely.
Then, turning toward Ayumi and the other female heroes, he pointed directly at her and said, “You there, girl. Follow us. I have some questions for you.”
