My Ex-Husband Begged Me to Take Him Back - Chapter 337
Chapter 337: Love at first sight.
Chapter 337: Love at first sight.
Myra’s condition wasn’t different from his.
She also couldn’t stop looking at him.
Ever since she had arrived in town to help Ava, she had heard countless stories about Nicholas.
And with each story, her curiosity had grown.
She had become infatuated with him, imagining him and wanting to meet him.
And finally, he was in front of her.
And she couldn’t stop staring.
‘He is even more handsome than I imagined,’ she thought, her heartbeat quickening.
‘How can someone be this handsome?
What would it be like€¦ to be his girlfriend?’ Her lips pressed together as a small, almost playful idea formed in her mind.
Slowly, she leaned forward, resting her elbow on her knee and propping her chin against her palm.
Her eyes gleamed with curiosity as she continued watching him.
Nicholas could feel her eyes on him, and it made him even more nervous.
He was never the type to fidget under someone’s attention before.
But now, he was sweating under her steady gaze.
He had just finished drinking an entire glass of water, but his throat still felt dry, an unfamiliar heat creeping up his neck.
Shifting uncomfortably, he adjusted his tie, his fingers tugging at the knot.
“You are Dylan’s relative.” He found his voice again.
“I’m Ava’s cousin,” Myra corrected, her smile never wavering.
“Dylan asked me to take care of Ava, so I’m here.
I’ll be staying with her until the baby is born.” ‘Ava’s cousin.’ The words echoed in his head, and suddenly, everything clicked.
He understood why she looked like Ava.
“Are you single?” Myra asked, breaking Nicholas’s trance.
Nicholas blinked.
“Uh?” He was completely caught off guard.
He gaped at her, utterly unprepared for the sudden shift in conversation.
Before he could even process her first question, she hit him with another.
“I am single.

If you don’t have a girlfriend, can you date me?” Her expression remained open, unbothered, as she waited for his answer.
Nicholas stiffened, his entire body freezing for a split second.
‘Dating her?’ His mind went blank for a moment.
He had never dated anyone before.
There had only ever been one woman in his heart-Ava.
She had been his first love, the only one he had ever wanted.
But unfortunately, she had never belonged to him.
She had always loved Dylan.
And despite knowing that, despite the pain of it, Nicholas had never sought out someone else.
It wasn’t that women hadn’t approached him-they had.
Countless times.
But he had never shown interest.
He never wanted to.
But now€¦ Facing Myra’s bold, straightforward question, something inside him wavered.
He should have brushed her off.
That was what he always did.
Yet, for some reason, he couldn’t.
Maybe it was because she looked like Ava.
Or maybe he had finally decided it was time to let go of his feelings for Ava and find someone who wanted him.
The sudden echo of footsteps in the foyer shattered the charged silence between Nicholas and Myra.
They both turned toward the entrance, their gazes landing on Ava and Dylan as they walked in.
Nicholas instinctively stood up, his sharp eyes locking onto Dylan first.
Seeing him standing-not confined to a wheelchair anymore-sent a rare wave of relief through him.
But when his gaze shifted to Ava, his breath caught in his throat.
She looked different.
Her belly was round.
Her cheeks were fuller, a soft glow illuminating her features.
She was radiant €“ even more beautiful than he remembered.
“Nicholas!” Ava’s voice rang with excitement as she hurried toward him.
Her eyes shone with joy at seeing him after so long.
“You are finally back.” Nicholas stepped closer, his expression softening as his hand instinctively lifted.
His fingers brushed gently against the top of her head.
“You are glowing.” In one swift motion, Dylan yanked Ava into his arms and-just as quickly-pushed Myra straight toward Nicholas.
Caught off guard, Myra gasped, stumbling forward on his hard chest, Nicholas wrapping his arms around her instinctively.
Their gazes met, and they couldn’t look away from each other.
Across the room, Dylan and Ava exchanged a knowing glance, their lips curling into a sneaky smile.
“Have you looked at each other enough?” When Dylan spoke, his tone was cold.
The smile on his lips and the playfulness in his eyes vanished.
Myra jerked back, her cheeks burning red as she quickly stepped out of Nicholas’s hold.
Nicholas cleared his throat awkwardly and adjusted his coat, trying to shake off the strange tension in the air.
“So, you are already familiar with each other.” Dylan arched a brow, watching them both with curiosity.
“No,” Nicholas immediately denied.
“I-I was just asking if she was your relative.” “She is Myra, Aunt Julia’s daughter,” Dylan said.
He placed a casual hand on Ava’s waist.
“I asked her to stay here and take care of Ava.” “Good, good.” Nicholas stole a glance at Myra.
And damn it-he caught her looking, too.
“Myra is a scriptwriter,” Dylan continued.
Nicholas shifted his attention back to him.
“She is currently working on a new script and is really interested in joining the short drama project,” Dylan added casually.
“She and Ava have been discussing it.
Why don’t you give her a chance?” Nicholas tilted his head slightly toward Myra.
She was still staring at him.
His chest fluttered.
The way she watched him, eyes shining with curiosity-made something flicker inside him.
Flustered, he immediately tore his gaze away, his fingers twitching slightly as he wiped the sweat beads from his brow.
‘What the hell is wrong with me?’ he thought.
‘Why is she making me so nervous?’ “I read her manuscript,” Ava’s voice chimed in, pulling him from his spiraling thoughts.
“It’s promising.
I think we should give her a chance.” Nicholas smiled, his gaze softening as he looked at Ava.
“If you’re confident in her, then I have no issues.
Your decision is my decision.” The moment the words left his lips, Myra lit up.
“Uh, that means, I am in,” she squealed, unable to contain her joy.
“Oh, Ava, thank you so much.” She threw her arms around Ava from the side, her head dropping onto her cousin’s shoulder.
Ava chuckled, one hand resting gently against Myra’s cheek as she turned her head slightly to catch Nicholas’s eye.
“Thanks,” she mouthed.
Nicholas nodded slowly, a subtle understanding passing between them without the need for words.
Dylan noticed everything.
That quiet, effortless understanding between Ava and Nicholas-it bothered him.
His jaw twitched slightly, an odd sting of jealousy settled in his chest.
Nicholas was clearly smitten with Myra.
It was obvious in the way he got flustered, the way his eyes betrayed his thoughts.
And yet, despite that, he still had this silent connection with Ava.
Dylan exhaled sharply, irritated.
‘I need to make sure he falls for Myra-fast.’
