Chapter 63: The Confession (Part-1)
“Is it possible?” Ava asked, skeptical, yet hopeful.
“I’ll try.” He offered her a reassuring smile as he carefully slipped the broken phone into his pocket. “Let’s get out of here.”
Without wasting any more time, they hurried out of the alley and made their way to their cars. Ava’s urgency grew as they neared the street.
“We have to stop Gianna and Brian,” Ava said urgently. “Let’s go to the cops.”
But Nicholas shook his head. “Not yet…” His tone was measured. “First, I’ll recover whatever you recorded. Once we have solid evidence, then we’ll go to the police. And don’t worry about Gianna and Brian—they won’t be able to escape. I’ll find out everything about them and reach out to you soon. Now, go home. I’ll call you later.”
After a brief exchange of goodbyes, they parted ways. Ava drove home, her mind swirling with thoughts of the danger she had narrowly escaped. Meanwhile, Nicholas headed straight to his office.
At Dylan’s office…
Justin handed him Gianna’s phone records and transaction details. “It’s shocking,” he said, shaking his head. “She has been seeing this guy, Brian, for two years, and none of us had any idea. She lied to us. That day, she was with Brian at the Hotel Siera. But she pretended she was kidnapped and assaulted, just to frame Ava Madam. I can’t believe she could go to this length. How much hatred does she have in her heart?”
Dylan’s hands clenched around the file, knuckles pale against the paper. His disappointment felt sharp. He had believed Gianna was a victim of unfortunate circumstances. But these records painted a different picture – this entire incident was nothing but a well-thought plan to paint Ava as a villain.
Justin’s nostrils flared. “She did that only to frame Ava Madam. It’s beyond shocking that she went to such a length to frame someone else. She has been plotting against Ava Madam right under our nose. Sadly, we never tried to check on her activities.”
Dylan’s regret simmered into a cold fury as he continued checking the file. He was angry and upset with himself for putting his trust in Gianna. To him, she was always an innocent, vulnerable girl. But he had never imagined she would have grown so vile and manipulative.
He had ignored warning signs and invested faith in a woman who hid venom behind her facade of vulnerability. He had doubted Ava when she needed his trust. With his harsh words, he had hurt her.
Justin continued grimly, “That man, Brian, is not good. He has this habit of gambling and has connections with criminals. Miss Gianna might have been using him in contacting those thugs.”
Dylan regretted not checking on Gianna’s activities sooner. But it wasn’t too late. He would punish Gianna and make up to Ava.
“Send someone to pick up Brian,” Dylan commanded fiercely. “Meanwhile, we’ll pay a visit to the hospital. I’d like a word with that doctor who treated Gianna.”
He stood up and walked out the door.
Justin instructed someone on the phone as he followed Dylan.
Several minutes later, they arrived at the hospital. Dylan marched through the hospital corridors, with Justin trailing just behind. They reached the doctor’s office and pushed open the door, stepping in with an air of unrestrained authority. Justin locked the door from behind.
The doctor panicked as he met Dylan’s cold glare. He shot up on his feet, pulling a nervous smile on his face.
“Mr. Brooks, you…”
But Dylan’s hand was already fisted in the doctor’s collar before he could even finish his sentence. “Did you think you could forge a report and get away with it? Don’t you know your license will be canceled for this?”
The doctor’s face drained of color as he realized the secret was out. “I… I am sorry, Mr. Brooks,” he stammered an apology, hoping Dylan would spare him. “I was wrong. Miss Gianna paid me to make a report. I became greedy and agreed to her.”
“Greedy, right?” Dylan tightened his grip, his face scrunching up. “I’ll give you a billion if you cut off your own hands.”
The doctor trembled in fear. He shook his head frantically, begging, “No, no… please, don’t hurt me. I regret my actions, and I apologize to you sincerely. Please forgive me.”
Dylan released his hold, shoving him down. He looked over at Justin, his tone chillingly calm. “I want his hands damaged completely. This is his punishment. With his unusable hands, he can’t treat others.”
With a curt nod, Justin moved forward. The doctor, now truly desperate, clutched Dylan’s leg, sobbing. “Please tell him to stop. I am ready to atone for my mistakes. I’ll do whatever you say, just don’t hurt me!”
Dylan looked down at him coldly. “Alright.” He gave a calculative nod. “Speak. Tell us everything. Then, maybe, I’ll consider sparing you.”
A glimmer of hope sparked in his tearful eyes as he nodded frantically. “I’ll tell you everything.” His heart filled with dread and resignation as he prepared to reveal every last one of Gianna’s secrets.
Dylan gave a swift nod to Justin, who understood the signal and wordlessly pulled out his phone and began recording.

“Miss Gianna wasn’t raped,” the doctor started narrating everything he knew – what Gianna told him and how he had faked the report to make it look like she was gang raped.
“The rashes on her body were from rough sex, not from rape. And… there was only one person’s DNA. But when I showed her the report, she offered me money to change it, and I did.”
The doctor hung his head down in shame and guilt. “I am sorry.” He broke down into tears. “I shouldn’t have taken money from her. I regret it now.”
Dylan looked down at him disdainfully. “You’re a disgrace to this profession,” he hissed. “A man like you has no place in medicine. You’ll face the consequences.”
He turned his gaze to Justin and issued a stern command. “Report this man. Make sure his license is revoked.”
“Consider it done, sir,” Justin replied with resolve.
