Chapter 593: Curing the Fairy Queen – Part 1
“What are you saying!? He’s the Fated One!?”

Both of them turned to Leon, their faces filled with astonishment and confusion.

Elisa nodded slowly, a faint smile on her lips. “Yes, he is the Fated One. I just remembered… Mother told us the Fated One had arrived a week ago. The person she was referring to—it was him.”

Her words stirred Syra and Sia’s memories. The Fairy Queen had indeed mentioned that the Fated One had reached the Emerald Palace and reminded them to welcome him when he arrived.

And now, that man stood before them—right in their territory. The realization filled them with shame.

After all, they had just questioned him and treated him rudely.

Without hesitation, both bowed their heads respectfully to Leon.

“Welcome to the land of the fairies, Fated One. We apologize for our rudeness. We hope you won’t take it to heart.”

Their expressions were solemn and respectful, but anyone observant could see the unease and anxiety behind their eyes.

Leon, being one of those observant few, let out a soft chuckle.

“Don’t worry. I’m not offended,” he said gently.

His gaze shifted to the unconscious Fairy Queen lying on the bed. “Now, let’s put that aside and focus on the Fairy Queen’s condition.”

Syra and Sia breathed a sigh of relief, then nodded in agreement after hearing his words.

“What exactly happened to Her Majesty the Queen, Fated One? And… can you really cure her?” Syra asked nervously.

The queen’s condition was truly strange. Even with her healing powers, Syra couldn’t identify the cause—let alone find a cure.

As such, she felt unworthy of her title as the greatest healer among the fairies.

Leon offered a reassuring smile and said, “The Queen is actually fine. There are no internal injuries or anything like that. However, there’s a strange power inside her—a dark force—that’s slowly consuming her from within.”

“You’ve heard of the Evil God, haven’t you? The one who once brought chaos to the world and nearly destroyed it.”

“We know him, Fated One,” Syra and Sia answered firmly in unison.

Who hadn’t heard of the Evil God? He was a terrifying being, clearly recorded in their history books—the very cause of their homeland’s destruction.

He was also the one who attacked the World Tree and nearly wiped out the Elven territory—the same land they now called home.

So it was no surprise that hatred for him had been passed down through generations, his name etched deeply into their hearts.

“Dark power is the force wielded by the Evil God. I’m not sure if you already know this, but the current World Tree has been tainted by it,” Leon continued. “As a result, the air, springs, and rivers around the World Tree have also been contaminated. Anyone who breathes the air or drinks the water from that area will be affected.”

Leon’s brows furrowed slightly as he went on, “That’s what happened to your Queen. The dark power has been slowly eating away at her from within—through her mana channels and veins. I suspect it’s been in her body for quite some time, but only now are the symptoms starting to show.”

Syra, Sia, Elisa, and even Elina turned pale at his explanation. Elina, in particular, trembled slightly.

Her sister had once mentioned the troubles plaguing the World Tree, but she had always reassured her that everything was under control.

Now, hearing the truth directly from Leon, the fear sank in.

“Did Sister lie to me? This is clearly not fine…” Elina thought, overwhelmed by sorrow.

Of course, she understood that her sister only wanted to protect her from unnecessary worry.

But still, the pity in her heart grew—knowing her sister had carried such a heavy burden alone.

Reflecting on her absence over the past year, Elina was overwhelmed with guilt and felt a sudden urge to slap herself for being so selfish.

Just as the worry on Elisa, Syra, and Sia’s faces deepened, Leon’s next words brought them a wave of relief.

“Like I said—I can heal her. So there’s no need to worry.”

The three exchanged glances and let out a deep, collective sigh.

“Thank you, Fated One,” Elisa said, bowing her head. “Please save my mother. I’ll do anything in return.”

“Even if it’s…” Her voice trailed off, a faint blush spreading across her face.

Syra, Sia, and Elina quickly caught on, and their faces turned as red as tomatoes.

“Ahem!” Leon coughed, waving his hand dismissively. “There’s no need for that. Healing the Fairy Queen is my responsibility—I don’t want anything in return.”

Elisa let out a quiet sigh of relief, though a trace of disappointment lingered in her chest.

“Am I really that unattractive? Is that why he doesn’t even consider accepting something in return?” she wondered.

She rubbed her delicate face, then glanced down at her slender hips. But one thing nagged at her—her chest was noticeably smaller than Elina’s.

Frustration bubbled up, and her expression turned faintly sour.

Meanwhile, Leon shifted his gaze to the Fairy Queen. “I’ll begin the treatment. Please, don’t interrupt me.”

“Okay!” Syra, Sia, Elisa, and Elina answered in unison, stepping back to give him space.

Leon inhaled deeply, then slowly exhaled.

To purge the dark power, he needed to channel both holy power and chaos power at the same time.

In the past, he could never do it alone—he had always needed Miranda’s help.

But now, he was filled with confidence. This past week hadn’t been spent just reading—he had also deepened his mastery of chaos power through the Codex of Noctis, the work of the Demon Emperor, Amon Crimson.

He brought his index and middle fingers together, placing them on the Fairy Queen’s right temple.

*Buzz!*

A surge of holy energy flowed into her body.

Moments later, his left hand mirrored the motion, resting on her left temple, and within seconds, the power of chaos coursed into her as well.

The presence of both powers caused the air to thicken. A tremendous pressure radiated outward, extending five kilometers in all directions.

Fairies who were collecting honey nectar suddenly felt their bodies tremble, fear spreading across their faces.

“What’s happening? Why is there such terrible pressure?” one fairy asked, her voice trembling with nervousness.

“I don’t know,” the other replied, equally anxious. “Could this be… an enemy attack?”

Questions flooded their minds, but no one had an answer.

And, of course, no one was brave enough to investigate it themselves.
