Chapter 630: The Suspicious Zelda
“What on earth is that? Why is the Black Lake receding?”

Miranda stood in shock, staring at the lake before her.

What had once been half full was now rapidly shrinking, as if something enormous were siphoning it away.

Beside her, Astra looked just as stunned, struggling to believe what she was witnessing.

“Is this Leon’s doing?” she asked, doubtful.

“No, it’s not,” Miranda replied firmly, her expression growing serious. “My master’s consciousness has been pulled into a mysterious dimension. He can no longer purify the lake.”

“Then there’s only one explanation…”

Her eyes narrowed. “This must be the work of that Evil God consciousness you mentioned, Astra.”

Astra’s expression stiffened slightly at the words. But before she could respond, Leon’s body—which had appeared motionless—suddenly trembled.

A moment later, he stirred and came to his senses.

“Pufft!”

Leon coughed up blood, groaning in pain, leaving both women stunned.

“Master!”

“Leon!”

They rushed to his side, crouching down with worried, anxious gazes.

“Master, what happened? Why are you suddenly coughing up blood?” Miranda bit her lower lip in panic.

She could see pain and fear in Leon’s eyes—emotions she had never witnessed in all their time together.

Leon panted, wiping the blood from the corners of his lips. His pale face was slowly regaining color, but his body continued to tremble slightly.

He took a deep breath, then looked at Miranda in front of him and Astra beside him.

In a hoarse voice, he said, “Miranda, Astra… this is really bad. The Evil God’s consciousness has fully awakened—and he’s heading to the outside world to spread chaos!”

“What did you say? The Evil God’s consciousness has fully awakened?”

Miranda and Astra stared at him, stunned.

“Yes.” Leon gave a small nod, his face serious. “Just now, I entered a dimension where the consciousness had been sealed, and…”

He went on to explain everything—his encounter with Guren, their battle, and how Guren had secretly broken the seal that held the Evil God’s consciousness in place.

He even described just how powerful it was… and how badly he was beaten.

Astra didn’t recognize the name Guren, but Miranda certainly did.

After all, Guren was the fourth hero—someone who should never have appeared in this world.

“So what you’re saying is… Guren entered the Temple of Twilight with orders to release the Evil God’s consciousness? And the war between the Dark Elves and Elves outside—is that part of his plan too?” Miranda asked cautiously.

“Yes, something like that.” Leon nodded as he slowly stood up. “Now that bastard is working with the Evil God’s consciousness to destroy the Elven race and bring chaos to humanity’s lands. We have to stop them.”

Miranda didn’t say another word. She gave a firm nod. “Very well, Master. Let’s go stop them.”

*Buzz!*

Her body transformed into a ray of light and entered Leon’s forehead.

Leon then turned to Astra and asked, “Astra, now that the dark power within your consciousness dimension is gone, how much power can you muster?”

Astra was silent for a moment before finally raising four fingers. “Forty percent. But if my source of vitality is restored, I could reach eighty percent—maybe even eighty-five.”

“Eighty-five percent?” Leon’s eyes widened in surprise, then he smiled slightly. “Alright, I understand. Can you tell me where your vitality source is?”

“Of course.” Astra nodded lightly and began explaining its location.

A few minutes later, Leon nodded in comprehension.

“Then take me out of your dimension so I can deal with it right away,” Leon ordered.

“Okay!” Astra snapped her fingers, and in an instant, Leon vanished from that place.

***

“Um…”

Leon slowly opened his eyes, but all he saw was… darkness?

He felt something soft and large pressing against his face, making it hard to breathe.

“Kya!”

A panicked woman’s voice came from in front of him. Moments later, Leon’s dark vision began to brighten, revealing the statues at the edge of the temple and the surrounding trees.

“Are you awake, Leon?”

A nervous voice came from the side. Leon turned his head and saw Zelda standing there, her cheeks flushed, looking embarrassed and anxious.

A wisp of white smoke seemed to rise from the top of her head.

Three question marks appeared above Leon’s head.

Hesitantly, he asked, “What’s wrong with you, Zelda? Why do you look so nervous?”

“Nervous? Nervous about what? You must be imagining things, Leon.”

Zelda tried to appear calm, but her flushed face was unmistakable—her cheeks reddened all the way to the base of her ears.

With her pale white skin, her embarrassment was impossible to miss.

“Hmm?” Leon raised an eyebrow suspiciously but chose not to press further.

He stood up and asked, “By the way, when I first opened my eyes, everything was dark. I also felt something soft, large, and fragrant pressing against my face. What exactly happened?”

“That… that…” Zelda looked troubled. She scratched her cheek and glanced away. “Maybe it was just your imagination, Leon.”

“Imagination?” Leon hesitated.

The soft, rubbery sensation against his face earlier felt strangely familiar—like breasts.

He vividly remembered the sensation of Athena sleeping with his face pressed against her chest.

The feeling earlier hadn’t been as full, but it was unmistakably similar.

Subconsciously, Leon glanced at Zelda’s ample chest. A thought crossed his mind: “Maybe… it was her chest?”

He took a deep breath, trying to shake off the thought.

As ridiculous as it sounded, he couldn’t fully dismiss the possibility.

Meanwhile, Zelda noticed the shift in Leon’s expression and felt her embarrassment deepen.

“He doesn’t realize, does he?” She thought, a mix of worry and embarrassment flooding her mind.

Clearing his throat softly to break the awkward silence, Leon asked, “By the way, how long have I been in meditation?”

Zelda quickly returned to her usual self. “About an hour, Leon.”

“An hour, huh?” Leon nodded slowly, his expression turning serious as he began explaining everything to her.

Listening, Zelda’s eyes widened in disbelief, a flicker of fear flashing behind her green pupils.

“Are you serious, Leon?”

“Of course. That’s why we must head to the source of the World Tree’s vitality immediately. I’ll remove the dark power and restore it to eighty-five percent strength.”

Zelda clenched her fists.

“Don’t worry. I know exactly where it is. Leave it to me.”

Leon smiled gently and patted her shoulder.

“Good. I’ll trust you with this.”

Although he knew the location himself, it would be more efficient for Zelda to lead so they could arrive sooner.

Without hesitation, Zelda cast a spell, and in an instant, both of them vanished from the scene.
