Chapter 640: Sealing the Evil God’s Consciousness
“Miranda, now!”

The moment those words were spoken, a burst of black light erupted beneath the Evil God’s consciousness, forming a massive dome that quickly enclosed him.

Startled, the Evil God’s consciousness tried to escape, but it was too late. The dome sealed shut, trapping him inside.

“Damn it!” He roared, clenching his right fist and slamming it to the ground.

*Bang!*

*Bang!*

He struck the dome again and again, but it was useless. The barrier was as solid as concrete—no cracks, no signs of damage, no matter how hard he hit it.

*Whoosh!*

Suddenly, ten black chains shot up from below, racing toward him at high speed.

Caught off guard, the Evil God’s consciousness was instantly bound.

The chains coiled around him, locking his limbs and forcing him to his knees. He could no longer move.

Fury rose within him, coloring his pale skin a faint red.

His gaze burned through the barrier, fixed on Leon, who hovered in the air with a calm smile on his lips.

“So all of this… you planned it during the fight?” He growled, teeth clenched.

Leon slowly descended from the sky and walked toward the black dome.

“Yes. I kept you busy on purpose—so Miranda could finish the formation and trap you,” he said without hesitation.

Since it was already done, there was no reason to hide the truth anymore.

What Leon hadn’t expected was how easily the Evil God’s consciousness had been deceived.

His guard had been low, making it easy for Miranda’s formation to trap him.

On second thought, though, the outcome made sense. Despite being the Evil God’s consciousness, the figure before him was ultimately just an individual with his own thoughts and will.

He didn’t possess the Evil God’s full power, nor did he have any real combat experience.

In a way, the man was just a blank slate, sustained by only a sliver of the true Evil God’s power.

That was the main reason he had been so easily subdued and restrained.

“Bastard!” The Evil God’s consciousness roared, but the chains binding him flared with purple light, suppressing his dark power.

His body crumpled onto the sand, his breathing ragged. It was clear—the chains were far too strong for him to resist, let alone move.

Leon showed no fear. To him, the Evil God’s consciousness in this state was like a lion with its neck chained—no longer a threat, let alone a menace.

“Master, we need to start the purification process now,” Miranda’s voice echoed urgently in his mind. “If we wait, the seal suppressing the Evil God’s consciousness will gradually weaken. If that happens, he’ll break free.”

Leon was slightly taken aback. He had assumed the seal would hold indefinitely—but clearly, that had been wishful thinking.

“Alright, I understand. Since the Evil God’s consciousness is tens—maybe even hundreds—of times stronger than the one in the Dragon Ancestor’s body, I’ll use the power of both the Holy Sword of Zenith and the Great Sword of Chaos. Can you help me?”

“Of course, Master. Don’t worry—leave it to me!” Miranda replied excitedly.

“Good.” Leon nodded in satisfaction and was about to sit down when a sudden, sharp pain shot through his right eye.

“Ughh!” He groaned, clutching it with his hand.

The Eyes of Chaos vanished, and his right eye returned to normal. But a drop of blood slid from its corner, forcing him to shut it tightly.

“Master, what happened? Are you alright?” Miranda asked, her voice filled with concern.

“I’m fine,” Leon said, shaking his head lightly as he wiped the blood from his eye. “The Eyes of Chaos are a power I haven’t fully mastered yet and shouldn’t be using in battle—but I did it anyway. This is just a side effect.”

He reached into his magic pouch, pulled out a bandage, and carefully wrapped it around his right eye.

The pain was sharp but bearable. Leon was confident that with some rest, he’d be back to normal in a few days.

“Thank goodness. Please be more careful next time, Master,” Miranda sighed, her voice tinged with worry. “I don’t want you getting hurt again.”

Leon chuckled softly. “It’s my fault. I won’t make the same mistake again.”

“That’s good to hear,” Miranda said with relief. “Then let’s get started.”

“Alright.” Leon sat cross-legged, pressed his palms together, and closed his left eye.

*Buzz!*

A streak of purple light appeared behind him, growing larger until it took the beautiful form of Miranda.

She hovered just behind Leon, eyes closed and palms joined.

Slowly, she opened her eyes and fixed a cold stare on the Evil God’s consciousness.

With a subtle motion, she controlled the Holy Sword of Zenith floating beside Leon.

The sword surged forward, flying swiftly over the black dome sealing the Evil God.

A few seconds later, the Great Sword of Chaos materialized in the air and swiftly darted toward the same spot.

The two swords, alike in appearance, began spinning in perfect synchronization.

*Boom!*

Holy power erupted from Leon’s body, shattering the sky. Five seconds later, the power of chaos burst forth in an equally brilliant explosion.

The combined forces sent a chilling wave of death toward the Evil God’s consciousness.

His eyes widened as he screamed in fury, “Argh! I refuse to die!”

He struggled against the chains binding him, but every effort was futile.

Miranda channeled both the holy and chaos powers, then guided the two swords to begin the large-scale purification process.

“Argh! No! I won’t accept this!” The Evil God’s consciousness screamed in agony as unbearable pain tore through his very being.

His nerves felt like they were being shredded, and thick black liquid seeped from his pores.

*Boom!*

Dark power burst from his body, striking the dome with violent force. But the holy and chaos powers immediately surged back, suppressing and purifying it.

“This isn’t the end! This world… will crumble to ruin!”

His roar echoed for hundreds of meters—yet it was all in vain.

Relentless purification continued to ravage him until his body slowly disintegrated into swirling black ash.

Half an hour later, the Evil God’s consciousness was finally wiped from existence.

Miranda ended the process and breathed out a relieved sigh.

Turning to Leon with a smile, she said, “Master, it’s finished.”

Leon’s eyebrows twitched slightly before he opened his left eye.

Facing the dome, he saw only ashes where the Evil God’s consciousness had once been.

He sighed softly, then let his body fall backward.

“Finally… that damn bastard is dead.”
