Chapter 642: The Lost Memories – Part 1
“What did you say? First Elder?” Leon’s eyes widened in shock.
He took a closer look at the woman’s strikingly beautiful face—then it hit him. He remembered the painting that hung on the wall of the First Elder’s home.
“It really is her…” he muttered, jaw dropping.
No wonder she had seemed familiar. She was the first elder.
But confusion quickly filled his mind—hadn’t the First Elder always had a wrinkled, elderly face? Why did she look young again?
Before Leon could process what was happening, the Evil God’s shattered body began to reform.
This time, however, the process was noticeably slower.
“Tsk.” The First Elder clicked her tongue in annoyance. “Persistent pest. Looks like I’ll have to finish this properly.”
She drew her bowstring, and a brilliant green arrow began to form, pulsing with energy.
*Whoosh!*
She released it, and the arrow shot through the air, striking the Evil God’s reforming body.
*Bang!*
A massive explosion followed, reducing the body to ash once more.
But as before, the fragments began to gather—this time even more sluggishly.
The First Elder didn’t falter. Calm and focused, she fired arrow after arrow, relentlessly striking the Evil God’s consciousness each time it tried to reform.
The onslaught lasted fifteen minutes until, at last, there was nothing left.
The Evil God’s consciousness had been completely erased from existence.
Leon stood frozen, speechless—unable to find words after witnessing such a scene.
He knew the Evil God’s consciousness could be destroyed by continuously breaking down its form—but he never imagined the First Elder could do it with such ease.
A triumphant smile spread across the First Elder’s flawless face as she watched the Evil God’s presence vanish completely.
“Hmph! That’s what you get for daring to threaten the Elven race,” she said coldly.
She slowly descended, her eyes landing on Leon and Zelda—both still frozen in shock.
In the blink of an eye, her figure vanished and reappeared beside them. She smiled gently and asked, “Are you two alright?”
Leon snapped out of his daze and returned the smile.
He cupped his hands respectfully. “We’re fine, First Elder. Thank you for saving us.”
Zelda quickly followed, bowing with her hands clasped. “Thank you, First Elder.”
The First Elder let out a soft breath of relief—but her eyes soon narrowed at the sight of the bandage over Leon’s right eye.
Her expression turned serious as she stepped closer and asked, “What happened to your right eye, Fated One?”
Leon raised his hand to the bandage, shaking his head slowly.
“I—”

Before he could answer, Zelda cut in with concern, “It’s a side effect of the power Leon used. It’s called the Eyes of Chaos, and the pain it causes is overwhelming.”
“The Eyes of Chaos?” the First Elder echoed in shock, turning to Leon with disbelief.
“You’ve already awakened the Eyes of Chaos? But… hasn’t it only been a little over a year since you met Miranda and received the power of chaos?”
As Amon Crimson’s wife, she naturally knew a great deal about her husband’s combat techniques and powers—especially one of the most formidable: the Eyes of Chaos.
Those eyes were said to grant the user speed faster than lightning, along with other abilities that seemed almost unbelievable.
From what she remembered, Amon had only been able to use that power in his fifth year after being recognized by the Great Sword of Chaos.
Yet Leon, who hadn’t even reached his second year, had already managed to activate it?
That was truly an astonishing feat.
“I did activate it,” Leon admitted honestly, “but it’s not fully perfected yet.”
The First Elder smiled, unable to hide her admiration. “Even so, your talent is remarkable, Fated One. Even my husband would fall short compared to you.”
“You flatter me,” Leon chuckled softly, staying modest despite the compliment.
“By the way,” he quickly changed the subject, “how did you get here, First Elder? And…”
He glanced at her from head to toe, curiosity brimming in his gaze. “…how do you look this young?”
The First Elder rolled her eyes, clearly irritated by the question. “Am I not allowed to look young anymore? Would you really prefer seeing me in my aged form?”
She smiled knowingly, then turned slowly, effortlessly displaying her grace and alluring curves.
Leon stood stunned, nearly nodding in admiration—until a sharp glare from the side stopped him. It was Zelda.
“Ahem!” Leon cleared his throat softly. “Yes… you do look better in your youthful form.”
The First Elder smiled in satisfaction, while Zelda pouted, clearly annoyed.
The First Elder merely glanced at her and chuckled quietly, saying nothing.
“In that case, let’s return. All the Elven soldiers have evacuated and are now behind the barrier. You two should head back as well.”
Leon and Zelda nodded silently. “Alright.”
Suddenly, Leon’s head throbbed violently. His vision blurred, then everything went dark as he collapsed immediately.
The First Elder and Zelda gasped in shock and shouted frantically, “Leon! Fated One!”

“Where am I?”
Leon opened his eyes and found himself inside a luxurious mansion.
The room was spacious and cozy, but unlike the grand rooms he was used to, there were no antique paintings or statues.
Instead, modern electronics filled the space—televisions, air conditioners, and various other appliances.
“This… wasn’t it my home from my previous life?” Leon’s eyes widened in disbelief.
He rubbed his eyes, still unable to believe what he was seeing.
“Leon, dear, where are you? Dinner’s ready,” a woman’s voice called softly from the next room.
Leon’s body stiffened, his face draining of color.
He recognized the voice—his mother’s. But she had never spoken to him so gently before.
Every day had been filled with scolding, sometimes even punishment.
Those dark memories lingered vividly, despite his new life as Leon Kruger in another world.
“Okay, Mama! I’m coming!” A cheerful boy’s voice sounded from behind, freezing Leon in place.
With stiff movements, he turned his head, and his gaze immediately landed on a handsome, black-haired boy.
The boy’s face radiated joy, his innocent smile capable of melting anyone’s heart.
Leon recognized him instantly—it was himself.
The boy ran happily toward the dining table across the room.
Despite the reluctance and an unexplainable fear gripping his heart, Leon found himself following.
There, he saw his younger self sitting cheerfully on a dining chair.
Beside him sat a beautiful woman with long black hair tied in a ponytail, wearing an apron, her smile gentle and warm.
“Eat a lot, dear,” she said lovingly, placing a chicken drumstick on the boy’s plate.
“Um! Thank you, Mama!” The boy replied sweetly, digging into his food with eager delight.
Leon stood frozen, dazed, his eyes blank.
“What is this? Since when did my mother ever look so gentle?”
Suddenly, the woman looked up and locked eyes with him.
Leon’s heart skipped a beat. His body stiffened as an unshakable fear crept over him.
But strangely, the woman smiled softly and said, “You’re home, dear?”
Leon’s eyes widened in shock as he turned around—behind him stood a dark-haired man with a handsome face.
“…Dad?”
