Chapter 646: The Three Emotion Crystals
Four days passed quickly. During this time, nothing significant occurred, as the Evil God’s consciousness had completely vanished from the world.
However, the elves, Zelda, and the fairies faced a major setback—the loss of the Forest of Eternal Silence.
As one of the largest forests in the world, its destruction had a massive impact on the ecosystem.
Although the world had already entered the fall season, the unusual phenomenon in the Desert of Chaos kept the temperatures in both human and demon territories unusually high, and the air remained hot.
With the Forest of Eternal Silence gone, the sun’s rays felt even more intense.
After all, the forest had played a crucial role in producing oxygen and cooling the land from the sun’s heat.
Because of this, Leon suggested to Zelda that they begin a replanting effort in the area where the forest once stood.
Although the soil had turned into white sand, it wasn’t actual sand—it was the ash left behind by the burned trees.
Fortunately, the ash contained nutrients that could greatly support the growth of new trees.
As a wise queen who had always trusted Leon, Zelda accepted his advice without hesitation.
The trees of the Forest of Eternal Silence held deep meaning for them.
Although the Elven lands were hidden behind a protective barrier and had not been directly affected by the Evil God’s devastating attack, the Forest of Eternal Silence was still their home.
Thus, following Leon’s suggestion, Zelda ordered the elves—including ordinary citizens—to begin replanting trees throughout the ruined forest.
For humans, such a process might take generations, and the forest might never fully return to its former state.
But these were elves—long-lived beings. Moreover, Astra had nearly made a full recovery.
With her help, the Spirit of the World Tree, restoring vast numbers of trees would not be difficult.
She even promised that within a few months, the Forest of Eternal Silence would be reborn—more lush and magnificent than ever before.

“Sorry to have disturbed you, First Elder.”
Inside the wooden house nestled in the artificial forest behind the Emerald Palace, Leon sat on a sofa, his expression a mix of awkwardness and slight embarrassment.
In front of him, the First Elder—whose face remained youthful and beautiful—was preparing tea for the two of them.
Hearing his words, she offered a gentle smile and lightly shook her head.
“You’re not disturbing me, Fated One. In fact, I’m happy to have you here. This house feels more alive because of your presence,” she replied warmly.
Since the death of her husband seven thousand years ago, her heart had long grown cold. Life had felt empty, and nothing truly interested her anymore.
The only reason she continued to live was to fulfill the duties entrusted to her.
Although her descendants—Zelda, Elina, and the other three elders—would visit her from time to time, their presence could never fully ease her loneliness.
That began to change when Leon appeared.
He was the Fated One—the one she had been waiting for all these years.
On top of that, his demeanor reminded her so much of her late husband that it often felt like she was reliving the past.
Leon could sense the sincerity in her words, and gradually, the awkwardness and discomfort faded from his expression.

As he took a sip of the tea she had served, a refreshing sensation spread throughout his body.
“By the way, is there something you need from me, First Elder?” he asked curiously.
The First Elder sat on the sofa across from him, crossed her legs gracefully, and took a sip of her tea.
She glanced at Leon with mild annoyance and asked, “Aren’t you happy to be called over when you have nothing to do?”
Leon’s expression froze for a moment, then he quickly cleared his throat, flustered.
“Ahem! That’s not it, First Elder. You’ve misunderstood.”
“Pfft!” The First Elder chuckled, clearly amused by his reaction. She set her teacup down on the saucer and waved her right hand offhandedly. “Relax, I was just teasing. I called you here to see how you’re doing. How’s your right eye? Is it getting any better?”
Leon reached up and lightly touched the bandage over his right eye, then nodded slowly.
“It’s fine now. Ever since I woke up, Zelda has been casting healing spells on it, so it doesn’t hurt anymore.”
The First Elder looked pleased, then added, “That’s good to hear. But please be careful. The Eyes of Chaos is an extremely dangerous power. Even Amon in the past never fully controlled it. That’s why I’m so surprised you managed to awaken it in less than two years after inheriting the power of Chaos and the Great Sword of Chaos.”
“I understand, First Elder. I’ll be more cautious from now on,” Leon replied firmly.
“I’m glad to hear that,” the First Elder said with a soft sigh of relief.
She then extended her right hand and opened her palm.
*Buzz!*
A greenish-white light shimmered to life, swirling gently in her hand.
The radiant glow danced elegantly for a moment before condensing into a red crystal shard, which formed out of thin air.
The First Elder stared at the crystal for a moment before handing it to Leon.
“This is the main reason I summoned you, Fated One,” she said.
Leon looked surprised. He accepted the crystal carefully, studying it with curiosity.
“What is this, First Elder?”
“I don’t know its real name, but Amon called it the Crystal of Sadness—one of the Three Emotion Crystals. He said that if you collect the other two, you’ll be able to restore the true Holy Sword of Zenith,” she explained softly, sipping her tea.
“The true Holy Sword of Zenith?” Leon’s eyes widened, his heart pounding.
According to Miranda’s story, the three holy weapons that he, Valen, and Luna now wielded were fragments of the original Holy Sword of Zenith.
The first hero of mankind, Luminus Troya, had made a great sacrifice—splitting the Holy Sword of Zenith into three parts and dividing the soul of the original sword spirit, Sylvia, among them.
Leon had often wondered how powerful the true sword was and how he could reclaim it.
What surprised him most was that the First Elder possessed one of the three crystals—the key to reuniting the fragments into the true Holy Sword of Zenith.
“Crystal of Sadness? How do you have it, Malverna?” A voice suddenly interrupted.
Leon and the First Elder turned toward the sound—Miranda was standing there, as if appearing out of nowhere.
Her face showed a mix of shock, confusion, and joy.
The First Elder didn’t seem surprised by her arrival, but Leon certainly was.
He quickly shook off his surprise and asked skeptically, “Do you recognize this crystal, Miranda?”
Holding up the red crystal in his hand, he showed it to her.
“Of course I do,” Miranda replied eagerly. “The Three Emotion Crystals are the key to resurrecting my sister Sylvia and reuniting the Three Holy Weapons.”
She then turned to the First Elder and asked, “How do you have it? Did Master Amon give it to you?”
“Who else?” The First Elder chuckled softly, shrugging.
Miranda’s expression immediately darkened with annoyance.
“Why didn’t you tell me you had it?”
“It was Amon’s order. I was simply following it.”
That brief answer silenced Miranda instantly. If it was her master’s command, there was nothing more to say.
“Do you know where the other two crystals are?” Miranda pressed, her enthusiasm renewed.
“Unfortunately, no.” The First Elder shook her head slowly. “The other two crystals are scattered in unknown places. But I’ve heard Amon say the Crystal of Happiness might be with the Dwarven Race—though I can’t confirm if that’s true.”
Leon and Miranda exchanged surprised glances.
A moment later, meaningful smiles spread across their faces.
