Hong Su was startled. raised her head and glanced at Lin Lee standing near the house door and instantly ran toward his direction, hugging him tightly and starting to cry.

“Please don’t leave me alone; I really don’t have anyone left to rely on except you in this world.”

She spoke chockingly while sobbing with tears flowing out of her eyes again.

Lin Lee raised his brow, looking at Hong Su’s head resting on his chest and her trembling, frightened body, and then he raised his hand, patted her head, and thoughtfully said, “Probably someone else in your family is still alive.”

Instantly, the Hong Su body trembled hearing his words, and then she raised her head and glanced at Lin Lee’s calm expression as if he weren’t joking.

She fell silent and then shook her head, backing away a little.

“I know you are saying this because you don’t want me to give up, but I know there is no one alive.”

She replied while clearing her tears with her cuffs,

Lin Lee fell silent and then walked beside a radio and picked it up, showing it to her. She replied calmly,

“I have sensed a small base with little human population at the border of this state and state G; this radio and the missing mini truck from your house indicate that they must have left after hearing about the base.”

Hong Su flinched and hurriedly glanced at him hesitatingly and then fell silent and nodded with a little hope ignited in her heart again.

“Let’s go, and by the way, tell me about your siblings profession, habits, age, and everything.”

Lin Lee said calmly, looking at her, and then walked toward the direction of the RV outside the house.

Hong Su nodded and hurriedly followed calmly and started speaking about her siblings.

“My father is Hong Sheng; he is a village doctor; everyone calls him Doctor Sheng. My mother is a housewife; her name is Bo Ying.”

“I have three elder siblings; first brother Hong Bo Lin and second brother Hong Bo Fang are twins; they are twenty-seven years old and both are surgeons; my third sister is Hong Bo Lu; she is twenty-four years old working as an assistant researcher at X university; and I am Hong Bo Su, a second-year medical student in State C medical college; I am twenty-one year old.”

She introduced all her family and then sat down inside the front passenger seat, while Lin Lee nodded and sat down at the driving seat.

“How do you know that my father has a mini truck?” Hong Su then asked after remembering something, looking at him curiously.

Lin Lee raised his brow looking at her and replied, “I saw it in one of the photos in your house; it was parked behind your father’s in the picture, and also I saw tire marks belong to a mini truck in the garage beside your house.”

“Ohh, your observations are really amazing,” Hong Su realized and then nodded, looking at her side thoughtfully.

‘He didn’t accept us as relatives; he talks about my parents and siblings distantly as if talking about strangers, yet my father is his uncle and we are his cousins; probably after my uncle and aunt’s deaths he gave up on everything.’

‘Also, the first impression he gave me was like a person abandoned by the world; now it feels like he abandoned the world.’

Hong Su thought to herself and then raised her head and glanced in the outside direction with a little sadness flashing through her heart.

After a few hours,

“We have reached,” Lin Lee spoke, turned, and glanced at the Hong Su sitting on the seat beside him.

Hong Su nodded, looking at the housing society tall wall with a blocked gate and a small iron door entrance beside it.

“We have to leave the RV here and walk inside by foot; that iron door is the entrance; it’s just a small community with few homes and a small population.”

Lin Lee said and parked the RV beside the wall, then stood up and walked outside the RV along with Hong Su.

Both of them walked toward the iron door entrance. Lin Lee walked forward and then tapped the iron gate with his finger.

Dang! Dang!! Dang!!!

“Hey, stop, don’t make noise; do you want to attract a monster and die?” Instantly, a suppressed and annoyed voice sounded from the other side of the gate.

“I know you were watching us; hurry up and open the gate.”

Lin Lee said calmly, and Hong Su beside him was surprised. She looked around and found two cameras with a red indicator on both corners of the gate, covering both sides of the street.

“Sorry, the community is overpopulated; we can’t accept new survivors. Go find other bases. You can visit the nearby base. There is a base in the nearby city. Follow the main road straight, and you will reach there.” Instantly, the person inside denied opening the gate with reason and showed the way toward the new base.

Lin Lee raised his brow and replied,

“We are not interested in living inside this community; just tell me, are there any doctors with the surname Hong residing in this community?”

“There are some doctors in the community, but we don’t know their surname; wait for a while; I will confirm it with my boss and then reply to you.”

Hong Su wanted to say something, but Lin Lee raised his hand, stopped her, and then grabbed the identity card from his pocket, inserted it from the lower area of the gate, and walked back, saying,

“Okay, we are their family members; I am Hong Yu and she is Hong Su; this is her card; if you gave me the correct news, I will give your base three days worth of food items as a reward.”

Instantly two tall boys in school uniform standing on the other side of the gate were startled, and then they glanced at each other; their eyes lit up.

“Okay, wait for a while.”

One of them spoke, picking up the ID card, seeing the same image of the person they saw in the CCTV, then he walked inside the security cabin and hurriedly picked up the satellite phone.

“What did he say? Have you confirmed?” A burly voice sounded from the satellite phone.

“Boss I have confirmed they aren’t officials from revolution organizations; there is a female beside him; they are the family members of a doctor with the surname Shen, and they have some food in their RV. They said if we give them any information, then they will reward us with three days worth of food.”

The boy hurriedly replied with a playful smile in his eyes.

“Good job. Let me first confirm if there is really a doctor with the surname Hong inside the community; then we will proceed with plan A if I find them; if not, then plan B.”

The boss instructed and released the satellite phone sitting in the room of villa number one, then he clicked the outgoing switch again and then spoke.

“Find every doctor with the surname Shen and bring them to the villa one.”

After instructing, he put away the satellite phone with a scar-filled hand and arm, then stood up looking at his scar-filled face; it was freshly injured by some claw attacks.

“Damn, these cat beasts are really annoying; one day I will remove their species from this world.”

He spoke annoyingly and then walked outside the lounge area.

After a while,

A young man appeared in villa number one alone and then stopped in front of the boss.

“Zhou Li, what happened? Who is looking for me?” The young man asked calmly, looking at the tall man with scars,

The boss Zhou Li raised his brow in surprise and then asked doubtfully, “Isn’t your name Bo Fang?”

The young man nodded and said, “My name is Bo Fang; it’s my middle and last name; my full name, along with my surname, is Hong Bo Fang.”

“Oh, it’s a pity; it seems we can’t follow the plans anymore. Well, someone is here looking for you; go meet them at the gate.”

Boss replied, waved his hand in pity, and then turned around and walked away toward the upper floor of the villa, leaving the young man behind extremely bewildered.

‘Who is looking for me, father, mother, and Bo Lin already? Is it? But it’s not possible; they were really far away during the end.’

Hong Fang thought and then walked outside the villa, toward the gate thoughtfully with a solemn expression.

After a while,

“Sir Bo Fang, why are you here? Are you going somewhere? I remember today isn’t your hunting day.”

Instantly, one of the student guards at the gate asked, looking at him curiously,
