Chapter 1201: What Comes Tomorrow
When the quest complete came up, Gary was filled with a mixture of feelings, and for various reasons.

Completing the class upgrade, he couldn’t wait to see what was available from the system and what power-ups he would receive. However, he was worried what if a change was to occur now? Didn’t the others feel extreme pain when going through the class change?

Thankfully, it seemed like the system somewhat knew what situation he was in as it gave him an option.

[Would you like to receive the quest reward now?]

Immediately, Gary decided no. With the change, he didn’t want the vampires to know what type of powers would be granted or what was happening to him.

In the first place, according to Midwak, the class that Gary was a part of was designed to hunt vampires.

“You look to be satisfied and have gotten what you needed off your chest,” Lucien claimed. “I’m happy to see that. It is a good start to our relationship. Things will move fast tomorrow. I will send one of our men to meet you here. They will be one of us but also part of the Altered Hunters, they will be your way into the organisation.”

“From there, it’s best that you follow what needs to be done to enter Ruin City.”

Gary nodded along. He knew situations were dire, but for him to act tomorrow really hit home how fast things were moving.

“I want to ask,” Kai said, stepping forward. “You can’t expect Gary to go on his own, and if you want this job done properly, I suggest that you allow us to send some people with him.”

The king lifted his hand and raised two fingers in the air.

“I agree with you, as I said before though, we don’t control the entire Altered Hunters. With those going tomorrow, we can only insist on an introduction of new members. Although there will be those of us among them, the majority will be human Altered Hunters, so the maximum I can allow are these numbers.”

Kai understood and thought it was fair, especially if they didn’t want to attract any attention. In particular, Kai wanted Tom to create some of his smelling solutions and didn’t imagine they could be made in great quantity for a long period of time, so two would be enough.

“With that, I bid you farewell,” Lucien said. “Gary, I hope we can meet again in the future, maybe even in the settlement. There is a whole world out there that you haven’t seen, and maybe together we could change the unseen world.”

Gary let out a faint smile, he himself wasn’t too sure about it. He had already been discovering far too much about the underworld and the world of Werewolves to know there was even more.

Maybe it was best for him to just rest and keep his eyes shut with the entire thing. He still didn’t even know how, after eating Harvor, he was now somewhat immune to Celestials, whatever they were.

With only a couple of blinks, the vampires had disappeared as quick as they had arrived into the night, no longer making a scene.

“I’m going to have to make a few calls to make sure this street gets cleaned up,” Kai said. “I’ll make sure if the people really didn’t see anything and no one was hurt. It certainly was a ghost town when I arrived, so I think things are good.”

“As for you, I think it’s best if you go ahead and decide on who the other person is that you want to bring with you tomorrow.”

“One person?” Park replied. “Didn’t he say he could pick two?”

“Right, but I’ve decided I’m going,” Kai answered. “Usually, I need to deal with things in Slough, and I can trust Gary to get things done. But this is too important, going into Ruin City and with everything happening with Midwak, I have to come.”

There was another point that Kai wanted to make, but he decided to keep it to himself. After consuming Stanley from the One Gang. He also believed that he was one of the strongest in the group.

If all failed and they needed to get out of there, they were going to need as much power as they could get.

“I’ll stay,” Marie said instantly. “For one, I don’t think I can handle Gary picking someone else again. I don’t want to put myself or Gary through that again, so I’m taking myself out.”

Gary was actually truly thankful for Marie doing this. Although he was a gang leader, he hated making decisions.

“Oh, pick me then!” Park raised his hand. “I can heal you guys and stuff even without transforming.”

Gary looked at the others, and he couldn’t really turn to Kai for help since he was already on the phone.

He figured if Kai really thought there was a supreme choice in picking someone, then he would have chosen someone himself. Since that wasn’t the case, they were all viable choices.

In Gary’s mind, then there was one person who he trusted most among them all, who hadn’t let him down a single time, and with them being an Altered, it also meant they didn’t have to cover up a smell of sorts.

“Austin, I want you to come with us, but I remember Blake saying something about their masks detecting Altered. As long as Tom can do something about that, then I would like you to come.”

There was a straight nod from Austin, no hesitation. Some of the first members of the Howlers together, hopefully meeting up with Blake and Innu.

“I guess tomorrow, we become Altered Hunters,” Gary said.
