Chapter 1203: The Last Class Upgrade
Before Gary had looked at the upgrade, he looked at his current stats.

Gary

Grade: King

Class: Dark Warrior

Level 50sd

[Health 500] (1000)

[Energy 500] (1000)

[Strength 100]

[Dexterity 100]

[Endurance 150]

He had reached the top grade, so there was nothing beyond that of a king. This is what gave him his new special Alpha Bite skill. Then there was his Health and Energy, due to his current Dark Warrior class, both his health and endurance were doubled.

He had maxed stats, and his endurance was beyond max thanks to him eating Harvor, making him have an even stronger body. All of this together made Gary quite the unkillable beast, or at least he thought that was the case until he had met the Vampire King.

Then there were his skills, all of them at the max level, no longer able to grow.

[Last Stand: Max]

[Lethal Pounce: Max]

[Magnetic Howl: Max]

[Claw Strike: Max]

There hadn’t been any new skills in Gary’s arsenal, at least not unless he transformed into his other forms.

[Resistance to Celestial energy]

The fire attribute was handy as he could add this to the current skills he used, and with his large energy pool, there was no reason not to unless he was being careful.

Lastly, he had one of the most important parts of his system.

[Dragon Ash Lycan form 4/5 uses]

Although the system did show the Locked transformation in a slightly different color, Gary could see the name of the form now, unlike before. As for the skills, all of them only became active and showed when he transformed into the current forms.

Both of these forms were good, but the Shadow Ash Lycan form, although no longer painful, still hurt Gary as he used it. That aspect didn’t change, so he could only be in such a form for a limited amount of time.

The Dragon Ash Lycan form, that had limited uses and had a pretty large drawback. It was because of these reasons Gary was excited to find out what this upgrade would bring.

Currently, Gary had returned to his apartment for the time being, with no one else around.

Rubbing his hands together, Gary accepted the reward.

[Your Class is upgrading from Dark Warrior ….]

Immediately, Gary’s head had flung back in the chair he was sitting in. The whites of his eyes were embraced in darkness, but it wasn’t just his eyes, his vision had completely disappeared, and almost nothing could be seen.

For a moment, Gary felt completely empty. There was no pain like other evolutions or class upgrades. It was a numb feeling over his entire body. If there was one thing Gary could imagine closest to describing the feeling, it was like that of death.

In a lot of ways, it was worse than pain. He wanted to feel frightened by what he was experiencing, but he couldn’t. Seconds passed, and it felt like an eternity because there was no sense of time within his mind.

Until a particular sound had saved him, a faithful ding from the system.

Unlike some of the previous times, Gary didn’t get an option to choose out of two classes. Instead, it was just an upgrade. Just like in some of the games, he had already chosen a particular path, and now was just riding it upward, but it seemed like just with his Grade and Levels, this was the end of his class upgrade journey as he had reached the very top.

So he was hoping for some decent effects from the class upgrade.

At night, the werewolf’s energy and health pools triple.

Gary’s eyeballs nearly popped out of his head for a moment. Doubling was already such a considerable advantage. To triple, he started to wonder if he was some type of special vampire class with how many benefits he was getting at night.

He even thought about changing his whole pattern just for this effect, sleeping during the day and going out at night.

‘I can do that, right? I’m still young, and it’s just like all those other clubbers… look at me calling them clubbers, I don’t even know the term, is that even the lingo people use these days… damn, I bet people don’t even use the word lingo!’

From excitement to depression, but having missed his school years, uni years, and more hanging out with those his age, this was the life he lived.

[Shadow Regeneration]

[At night your body will passively regenerate faster. During combat and out of combat. This will not consume energy]

This was better than it sounded. Gary’s body would only heal using his energy pool once he had been out of a fight for some time. In some cases, it would emergency use his energy to heal the wounds on his body.

The only thing he couldn’t really determine is how fast his healing would be while it was night time.

Just with these two alone, the class upgrade was certainly worth it, and he was imagining himself if he was to face Lucien now. With it, he wouldn’t have had to have gone into the Dragon Ash Lycan form so fast in the fight.

Looking at all of this class stuff, he did wonder though, just what Class was Lupus. Surely he would have similar benefits from his class. Even without the system, it appeared that werewolves somewhat evolved into these classes.

Knowing might help if the two ever needed to clash. Shaking that thought, Gary needed to pay attention, because there was still one last benefit to the class.
