Chapter 277: Final Battle (3)
Prince Shen Yi didn’t even see Feng Fan as a human; he was nothing more than a stepping stone on his path to dominating the Immortal Realm. As long as he completed the system’s mission, the rewards would be immense, paving the way for his ascension.
A spear materialized in Shen Yi’s grasp, its tip pulsating with an overwhelming concentration of spiritual qi—so dense it warped the surrounding space. Behind him, the colossal image of a muscular warrior mounted on a horse emerged, radiating an ancient, oppressive aura.
With the slightest movement of his spear, Shen Yi commanded the spectral figure to hurl its own. The very air trembled as space distorted under the force of the attack.
Feng Fan’s expression darkened, yet he showed no fear. His hands moved in a blur, forming seals as the tier 8 array before him flared to life.
The spear struck the barrier, but its terrifying impact was completely nullified. Feng Fan didn’t stop there. His fingers wove through the air, glowing with spiritual qi as he seized control of the spear through the array’s power. The weapon trembled, then abruptly turned against its master, reversing course.
Shen Yi raised an eyebrow, watching his own attack being redirected toward himself. “Oh? So you can fight back.” His tone was amused as he effortlessly sidestepped, evading the spear with ease.
But the warriors behind him weren’t as fortunate. The Return To Void realm cultivators froze, paralyzed by the overwhelming energy surging from the spear. In the next instant, it tore through them, its spiritual qi obliterating their bodies beyond recognition.
Those who saw their comrades’ deaths and were at the same level as them gulped, afraid to have the same end. But Shen Yi didn’t even spare a glance at his dead subordinates. To him, they were nothing more than pawns to be used as he saw fit.
“Attack, destroy his array; bring me his life,” said Shen Yi, leaving no room for doubt.
Despite their fears, no one dared to disobey him.
Multiple Dao figures were invoked, each one stronger than the last, all aiming at Feng Fan. The barrier shook with each hit; Feng Fan continued to move his hands, restoring and reinforcing the array as fast as he could.
Despite his array’s ability to absorb most attacks, Feng Fan knew it wouldn’t last forever. If he remained purely on the defensive, it was only a matter of time before it crumbled. And it wasn’t just the Return to Void realm cultivators attacking him; fourteen Transcending Tribulation experts, including Shen Yi himself, were also trying to take his life.
“Brother Feng, how long do you need to break the immortal array behind us?” Dong Tao asked, his expression grave.
Feng Fan’s eyes narrowed. “I’m not even sure if I can, but at least an hour.”
“Then go. I’ll buy you time.”
While speaking, Feng Fan had already read Dong Tao’s thoughts. He knew exactly what the man intended to do—a suicidal gambit that, at best, would buy a few minutes, not an hour.
“Wait, Dong Tao. Before you do whatever reckless thing you’re thinking…” A smirk tugged at Feng Fan’s lips. “Let’s thin their numbers first.”
With so many attacks colliding against his barrier, his first strike would go unnoticed. This was the perfect chance to take out some of their strongest fighters.
Spiritual qi gathered at five distinct points on his barrier’s surface, each point condensing a terrifying amount of energy. Then, like cannonballs, they shot forward. The energy spheres carved through incoming attacks as if they were nothing, their momentum barely hindered.
Return To Void cultivators in their path didn’t even have time to react; they were erased from existence. But they weren’t the true targets. The spheres hurtled toward the Transcending Tribulation experts, who barely had a moment to register the danger before impact.
Explosions ripped through the plaza. Four out of five targets were annihilated on the spot, their bodies turned to dust. The lone survivor staggered back, his face contorted in shock; his arm severed, blood pouring from the wound.
“He’s counterattacking! Be careful!”
Feng Fan’s eyes gleamed. Now that his element of surprise was gone, he shifted tactics. Instead of focusing on the high-level cultivators, he turned his attacks on the Return To Void cultivators. Even if they saw it coming, could they dodge?
One after another, spheres of condensed spiritual qi rained down like artillery fire, tearing through enemy ranks. Dozens of Return to Void experts perished with each strike, their bodies obliterated in an instant.
The Black Turtle Sect’s cultivators watched in awe.
“This… this level of power isn’t something a tier 8 Array Master should be capable of.”
“If he’s not already a tier 9 Array Master… he’s close.”
The other array masters trapped in the Black Turtle Continent knew how impossible Feng Fan’s actions were. If they had been in his place, creating an array of this caliber in such a short time would have been impossible.
“Did he really construct that array on the spot? Absurd!”
Shen Yi’s eyes burned with rage as he watched his troops being cut down. Every passing second, his forces thinned.

“I refuse to believe you can hold out forever!” he roared, his voice like thunder. “You’re nothing but a rat cowering behind a wall!”
Feng Fan only smirked at Shen Yi’s outrage. “Don’t worry, son. I, your father, will make sure you join them!”
With a flick of his sleeve, three more cannonballs of condensed spiritual qi materialized, each radiating a terrifying pressure as they hurtled toward Shen Yi.
Shen Yi’s expression darkened. He dodged the first two, his movements precise, but the third—almost as if it had a will of its own—adjusted its trajectory, homing in on his escape path.
Realizing there was no way to evade, Shen Yi tightened his grip on his spear and thrust it forward to intercept the attack.
Spear and sphere collided.
A deafening explosion erupted as a shockwave of spiritual qi tore through the plaza. Weaker cultivators caught in the blast were sent flying, their fate uncertain as their bodies crashed violently into the distance.
