Chapter 488: Coordinate
Seeing Yao Ran’s polite demeanor, the middle-aged woman leading the group raised her chin arrogantly. Pointing at Yao Ran, she declared, “No one is getting through this door today without my permission!”
As soon as the words left her mouth, Yao Ran drew her long sword and, with a swift motion, severed the woman’s hand.
Slash! Thud!
The cold steel brushed past her hand, and the woman stood in stunned silence. Before she could fully process what had happened, a horrified scream erupted from behind her.
“Ah! Your–your hand!”
Following the terrified gaze, the woman looked down and saw her severed hand lying on the ground, blood pouring from her wrist.
Drip… drip… drip…
The next second, her face lost its color, and she fainted.
Thud!
Yao Ran flicked the blood off her long sword before sheathing it. Glancing at the other women, who were now ghostly pale, she said coldly, “Good dogs don’t block the way. Get lost!”
Terrified, the remaining women fled without another word, leaving the unconscious woman behind.
When the other members saw this, they couldn’t help but feel refreshed.
Since they had just arrived, they didn’t dare to cause trouble and allowed those people to bully them. But now, after witnessing Yao Ran’s decisive action, they all had the same thought.
‘It was indeed the right choice to follow Miss Yao!’
Kicking the unconscious middle-aged woman aside, Yao Ran calmly said, “Let’s go.”
Seeing how composed she was, the team members exchanged glances before quickly following her to the top floor.
Upon reaching the top floor, Yao Ran spotted Chen Zizhen. She waved at him and called out, “Brother Chen.”
Hearing someone call his name, Chen Zizhen paused and turned around. When he saw Yao Ran, he smiled and greeted her, “Good afternoon, Miss Yao. I heard you went out to look for a job. Did you find anything suitable?”
Yao Ran nodded and gestured to the other members before explaining, “I met our team members at the entrance just now. They told me that Elder Brother Ruihan rented the entire top floor. Can you help me settle them in and find some work for them?”
Chen Zizhen had already been informed by Xu Ruihan’s subordinate about the sea route team’s arrival, so he wasn’t surprised to see them here.
Nodding at Yao Ran, he greeted the team members and asked, “Did the registration process take long? Why did you arrive so late? I already prepared lunch and your living quarters.”
Hearing his questions, the team members explained what had happened at the entrance before Yao Ran returned.
After listening to their explanation, Chen Zizhen’s expression darkened. He looked at them and said, “I understand. I will inform the other senior officers about this matter.”
He paused for a moment, then smiled and added, “For now, let me show you to your living quarters. Once you guys are settled in, you can join the others in the dining area for lunch.”
Hearing that they finally had a place to stay and hot food to eat, the team members gratefully replied, “Thank you, Brother Chen. Thank you, Miss Yao.”
Turning to Yao Ran, Chen Zizhen said, “Miss Yao, I still need to help them get settled, so I will take my leave now.”
“Alright,” she replied, and then nodded at the team members as a farewell before heading back to her house.
After watching Yao Ran leave, Chen Zizhen turned to the team members and said, “Please follow me.”
While Chen Zizhen was busy helping the team members settle in and distributing jobs, Yao Ran went looking for Long Yu. After searching around, she found out that he was in a meeting with Xu Ruihan and the others.
“Miss Yao, would you like me to inform my boss that you are here?” a bodyguard asked.

Peering through the open door, Yao Ran saw that they were discussing something important. She shook her head and said, “No need.”
With that, Yao Ran decided to go home for her daily training.
In the evening, Long Yu returned after the meeting. Hearing him close the door, Yao Ran walked out of the kitchen. She smiled and said, “A Yu, you are back.”
Long Yu walked up to her, hugged her, and sighed tiredly, “Mhm.”
Seeing how exhausted he was, Yao Ran handed him a cup of lake water. “Here, drink some water first.”
Taking the cup, Long Yu drank it all in one go. Feeling refreshed, he returned the empty cup to Yao Ran.
He then glanced at the bags of potatoes on the floor and asked, “What did you do today?”
“I have been training my wood element ability while waiting for you to come back. I’m preparing dinner right now.” Yao Ran replied with a smile.
Raising his eyebrows slightly, Long Yu asked, “Waiting for me? Do you have something important to tell me?”
Nodding at him, Yao Ran pulled him to the couch and opened the message containing The Origin’s headquarters location.
She showed him the message and explained, “This morning, The Origin sent out an announcement ordering all agents to report their locations to headquarters.”
“You sent them your location?” Long Yu asked with a slight frown.
Yao Ran nodded. “Yes. The announcement said they found a new place for the headquarters. Out of curiosity, I sent my location over. A few seconds after they received my location, they sent me another message.”
With that, Yao Ran tapped her watch and said, “Here are the coordinates.”
Long Yu looked at the coordinates displayed on the screen and frowned slightly. “If I’m not mistaken, this location is in the largest ocean on our planet.”
Hearing this, Yao Ran fell into deep thought.
After a moment of silence, they looked at each other with wide eyes. A second later, they both spoke at the same time, “The new continent!”
Looking at each other, they slowly calmed down. Yao Ran pondered for a moment before asking, “A Yu, do you think living in this place is good?”
