Chapter 108: Another Trouble
Yu Baoyin quickly followed Sister Nan’s words and imitated Sister Nan’s position.

“Face your target and stand with your feet shoulder-width apart. Take a step forward with your non dominant foot…”

“Is this okay, Sister Nan?” Yu Baoyin moved her feet.

“A little more, that’s it…”

Nanzhi patiently guided Yu Baoyin until her body posture was on point.

“To aim, align your front sight with the rear sight until the target comes into focus.”

Nanzhi turned sharp like a dagger while looking at the dummy.

Drawing a sharp breath, Nanzhi said, “Lastly, pull the trigger.” As the last syllable left her mouth, her finger squeezed the trigger and the bullet left the muzzle.

A bullet hole appeared in centremost head of the dummy to which Nanzhi effortlessly hit.

Feng Ran was amazed and clapped.

Yu Baoyin also fired after Nanzhi.

But she was startled by the sound and her aim was far off.

The silencer did not entirely erase the sound and some of it made a beginner like Yu Baoyin flinched.

The bullet hit the wall and not the wooden dummy.

“Try again.”

Bang.

Still not close enough.

After five minutes, Yu Baoyin still wasn’t able to hit it.

Yu Baoyin was beginning to be discouraged.

Nanzhi had made it look so easy. She thought she would also do well.

“Try it again.” Nanzhi said.

Nanzhi didn’t give up until Yu Baoyin adjusted to the sound.

At the end, Nanzhi used a little motivation ultimately concluding the two hour-long gun lesson.

She regained her senses and when she saw the results, she was overjoyed. “I hit it! I finally hit it! Sister Nan, did you see that? I hit it!”

Feng Ran looked at the position of the bullet hole and sprayed the soda he was drinking. “Shouldn’t you aim for the head, the stomach, and the chest instead?”

“As long as it hits the dummy it’s good. The place where it got hit is considered a vital too. The opponent won’t be able to properly move or response for period of time.” Nanzhi said, nodding with approval.

Yu Baoyin smiled and raised her brows towards Feng Ran. Do you have any more to say?

Feng Ran was tongue-tied.

He unconsciously looked at Lin Weihao then his eyes lowered to his friend’s thighs.

He couldn’t help but whisper in his mind.

‘Brother Lin, did you hear her? You need to think twice before angering your violent girlfriend in the future or your future generations will be cut off!’

Lin Weihao was oblivious to Feng Ran’s thoughts. He was only chuckling inside when he caught that playful side of Zhi Zhi.

She used the same training method on him and it never failed.

Bingwen and Hei Qian were left in the unit.

The others went outside.

Yu Baoyin and Feng Ran shivered from the cold. They clenched their scarves tightly.

The piles of snow under their feet was already an inch thick.

The nearest manhole is a block away, located in the suburban community’s children’s playground and tennis court.

There is a three-story Day-care center building beside it called Happy Corner and a bunch of small shops like a toy store, stationary store, a small grocery store, and cafe shops selling cakes, fruit tea, and milk tea.

Seeing the shops, Yu Baoyin and Feng Ran were excited and wanted to go inside.

“Sister Nan! Maybe we can find some food inside the grocery store!” Yu Baoyin said.

Although the shop looks destroyed but maybe there’s a warehouse that was not totally washed away by the flood like the Textile Warehouse they saw before.

Nanzhi haven’t searched those shops yet because she was focusing on wealthy households that had a high probability of having jades.

But maybe there also some good luck jade charms like that jade toad in the Grand Hotel’s Managers office.

“Alright.” She nodded.

The four headed to the shops first.

In order to save time, the four split into two groups.

Nanzhi and Lin Weihao checked the Day-care center. Along the way, she made sure to collect the trash.

On the other hand, Yu Baoyin and Feng Ran went inside the grocery store.

Right away, the two saw boxes of canned goods in the mud.

But before they can grab the cans, they heard sounds of footsteps and people talking.

In the unit, Hei Qian who was relieving himself managed to hear the sounds of cars coming from the south side of the building where the emergency exit staircase was.

He instantly went back to the unit and informed Bingwen about it.

Bingwen checked the security camera of the emergency exit and saw an outline of two jeeps rushing to the cement wall of the Empire Building.

The jeeps didn’t stop and continued and when they finally closer, Bingwen and Hei Qian zoomed in the lenses of the cameras.

They were able to see more details of the jeep. The front and rear showed signs being crushed.

Its body had deep scratch marks.

Their eyes changed when they found the model of the jeeps familiar.

Isn’t that the Humvees from the military?

Just before the jeeps hit the wall, it stopped and people dressed in suits and casual clothes emerged from the jeep.

They climbed to the roof and over the wall, vanishing from the range of the camera.

Bingwen and Hei Qian saw people reappearing in the main entrance of the building.

Not one of them was wearing military uniforms and only civilian attires.

Bingwen and Hei Qian looked at each other, sensing something was off.

They contacted Lin Weihao about it.
