Chapter 201: Queen Winged Reaper Ant
As dawn broke, Zhang Xin made his decision. He separated from the group and set off to find his nephew and sister.
Perhaps it was because of Nanzhi’s words last night, or maybe he had found his own resolve, but his previously gloomy demeanor had lightened.
“Leave it to me. Once I find them, I’ll lead them to the base.”
“Take care of yourselves! I still owe you favors!”
“You too, Uncle Zhang!”
Zhang Xin waved, then drove off, his vehicle disappearing into the distance.
After absorbing the spars last night, Nanzhi had advanced to the Tier 2 Late Stage. Lin Weihao, who had already broken through during the battle with the Winged Reaper Ants, reached the bottleneck of Tier 2 after absorbing more spars.
As for the others, they had set out early in the morning to hunt alien beasts. By noon, they had all reached Tier 1.
“Now my soil thorn, soil spike, and soil wall are much thicker! And I can use them four more times than before!”
Yu Baoyin clenched her fists excitedly, then raised them in front of Nanzhi. A thin layer of rock encased her hands.
“Look, Sister Nan! I learned this from Bingwen! Cool, right? Cool, right? Am I stronger than Brother Lin now? Soon, I’ll be able to transform into a golem! Then you can have two boyfriends! Hahaha—”
Nanzhi’s lips twitched. This girl’s imagination was getting wilder.
A hand suddenly landed on Yu Baoyin’s head. She turned around, only to meet Lin Weihao’s unreadable gaze. His face was terrifying.
“I was just joking! Just joking!” Realizing she had provoked the thunder asura, Yu Baoyin quickly scurried behind Nanzhi for protection.
Feng Ran chortled before proudly showing off his new ability. “It’s still in the early phase! But once I master it and increase my mental energy, I’ll name it—Flame Emperor Sword!”
Nanzhi raised an eyebrow as she watched a short sword materialize in Feng Ran’s hand. The blade was made entirely of fire. He swung it lightly, and the sword vanished after a single strike. Yet, rather than disappointment, his eyes shone with excitement.
“It won’t be long before I can make a fiery sword array!” His mind was already picturing those epic CGI effects from RPG xianxia games. His heart thumped with enthusiasm.
“Hold on, Brother Lin, what’s that bruise on your neck?”
At Feng Ran’s words, everyone’s eyes instantly zeroed in on the deep reddish-purple bruise on Lin Weihao’s collarbone, as if caused by some rather… enthusiastic activity.
Then, in perfect synchronization, they all turned to look at Nanzhi. Their gazes were filled with deep curiosity.
Yu Baoyin’s face burned red.
Feng Ran clutched his own neck, gasping dramatically. “Sister-in-law! Restrain yourself! I know you’re enthusiastic, but Brother Lin is fragile! If you go too hard, his neck will—”
Smack!
“Ouch! How can you be so violent?” Feng Ran yelped, rubbing the swollen bump on his forehead.
“That’s not what happened.” Nanzhi withdrew her hand, her expression unreadable.
In reality, Lin Weihao had tripped last night. He’d tried to move around the bathtub, lost his balance, and ended up hitting his clavicle against the sink.
And furthermore… do you think I would leave a job unfinished?
Inside the Car, Several Minutes Later
“Happy now?”
Lin Weihao didn’t even bother clarifying the situation.

“Zhi Zhi. How can you say that? I’m sad.”
Nanzhi’s lips twitched. Which part of his face looks sad?
He had the same expression she did when she received her reward from the survivors’ rescue mission.
A notification broke her attention.
[Congratulations! You’ve reached the first achievement: 100,000 transactions!]
100,000 already?!
Nanzhi had underestimated the purchasing power of the military base’s residents!
What she didn’t know was that, because of her portable store, the base’s market was booming. The whole place was beginning to resemble the pre-apocalyptic world!
[Five more slots have been added to your Portable Store!]
[Next achievement: 0 / 1,000,000 transactions]
Without hesitation, Nanzhi added more goods to the store—this time, including cotton.
Approaching the Underground Supermarket
As they drove along, they saw the aftermath of last night’s explosions. Bright Virtue Avenue had been completely wiped out, and the bank was now nothing but ruins.
When they reached the entrance of the Underground Supermarket, they saw that most of the place had collapsed but the building remained standing.
Nanzhi narrowed her eyes. She could sense a large amount of mental energy beneath the wreckage.
“They’re underground.”
“Leave the Ant Queen and the Winged Reaper Ants to us. You handle the army.”
“But how are you supposed to lure the Ant Queen out and make her follow us?”
Nanzhi smiled mysteriously. “Leave it to me.”
Minutes later—
Boom!
An explosion shook the ground. The remaining ant army swarmed out like a tide of black fog, their sharp mandibles clicking aggressively as they chased after the fleeing vehicle.
Once the distraction was in place, Nanzhi and Lin Weihao emerged from their hiding spot.
In Nanzhi’s hand, an ant egg appeared. The moment she crushed it—
Shraaakk!
Figures burst from the underground supermarket, their sights locked onto her and Lin Weihao.
The two leaped back just in time.
Sizzle—
Acid splattered onto the metal shelves where they had been standing. Within seconds, the thick metal melted like butter.
Then, they looked up.
There it was—the Ant Queen.
Surrounded by six Winged Reaper Ants, she hovered in the air, her massive wings stirring up a windstorm.
Ding—
[Tier 3 – Queen Winged Reaper Ant]
[Attributes: Wind, Acid, Speed]
A tri-attribute beast.
The Ant Queen stood at an imposing four meters tall, her six-meter wingspan casting a long shadow. Her elongated mandibles dripped with corrosive acid, and her two titan sickle limbs gleamed menacingly.
Her violet eyes shimmered with intelligence.
The scent of crushed ants’ innards on Nanzhi’s body made her antennae twitch with rage.
Then, she let out a high-pitched shriek.
“Chrrrrkkk!!”
The Winged Reaper Ants lunged at the duo.
Nanzhi and Lin Weihao had fought these creatures before. Limiting their speed by using the terrain and these ants were no longer worrisome.
They had lured them to the subway station.
To the Ant Queen’s horror, her warriors stood no chance. She watched them get slaughtered one by one.
“Chrrk!”
Her colony had a slim chance of evolving into Winged Reaper Ants. Every single one of them was precious.
Yet these humans dared to kill them so easily.
The Ant Queen’s fury surged.
But Nanzhi and Lin Weihao didn’t hesitate.
After the winged reaper ants were dealt, they ran straight into the kill zone.
