“The government had stipulated that the HOA will be the one to distribute the supplies given later!”

“Starting from now, the HOA will gather the supplies and do the centralized distribution! In this way, everyone can unite and survive!”

Even the speech was the same. Qi Meiying only rephrased some words.

Nanzhi stood there silent and listened to the residents’ mixed reactions. Some was glad of Qi Meiying’s words and supported her policy. These people were mostly the one living in the lower floors and those who didn’t hoard enough and run out of supplies.

“Thank goodness! The government didn’t abandon us! Auntie Qi. Thank you for letting us know!”

The rest were obviously dissatisfied and angry. They complained.

Dan Dan’s Mother was also frustrated but she had a timid personality and didn’t voice out her opinion.

“Auntie Qi, don’t you think that’s a bit unfair!”

“It’s our supplies, if we hand them over, how can we be sure that you will fairly distribute it!”

Sun He beside her said, “Auntie Qi is only thinking about everyone. In this time of disaster, we, people must unite and help other to overcome any struggles.”

Nanzhi heard it and rolled her eyes.

‘Thinking about everyone’, my foot. Only thinking about herself is more accurate.

“Yes, we’ve been neighbors for years. How can you turn a blind eye to the people in need?”

An argument broke out and the hallway was in chaos.

Nanzhi stood there, silently watching from the corner. Last time, she also spoke up against the HOA and her words planted doubts in the residents’ hearts and the argument was fiercer than this.

Nanzhi was then targeted by the HOA and when she was in a desperate situation, none of those neighbors help out. Those people only closed their doors listening to her getting beat up.

Not all people will feel gratitude just like Xiao Lizi.

It was only when Auntie Qi spoke that the noise died down.

“In this regards, hoarding is prohibited and all those who are found out to be hiding supplies will be punished by HOA and the higher-ups and their names will be blacklisted! They won’t be able to receive assistance from the government and will be fined after the disaster!”

The residents who were against Auntie Qi’s policies became quiet. Their supplies were limited and after the disaster, stores will not open immediately. If they couldn’t get the government assistance, then it would spell trouble for them.

The total farce ended with Auntie’s policies winning.

Nanzhi looked at the disgruntled looks of the residents against Auntie Qi.

Since she already fulfilled the purpose of her trip, she left the hallway and climbed the stairs.

By the time Sun He turned around, the little beauty he wanted to talk to was gone.

After that meeting, Qi Meiying together with the HOA’s board members including Sun He marched at every floor and started knocking on the door of every unit, listing the number of residents in each unit and asking for their supplies.

When they reached the 20th floor, they knocked on Auntie Yang’s door.

It was her husband who answered the knock. Because he had a child and wife, he couldn’t afford to offend the HOA but he didn’t exactly give all the supplies and hid them in a secret compartment.

The HOA left his unit and went to 2105 first.

It was Xiao Lizi who answered the door.

Upon seeing the woman, Sun He’s eyes lit up but it was only for a second.

Xiao Lizi may have a pretty woman but because of stress and exhaustion, her eyes became dull, her hair frizzy and her complexion weren’t good compared to the little beauty he met before.

He lost interest.

Thinking about her, Sun He looked at the direction of 2103. Auntie Qi said that she was living there.

“Sun He?”

Someone called his name. He turned his attention back to Unit 2105 and inside he saw a familiar face.

“Oh! Hey, Brother Zhou Gui! I didn’t know you live here.”

Zhou Gui was also surprised. He never anticipated meeting Uncle Lu’s bastard son in this building.

However, if this guy is here and even a member of the committee, then it would be good for him. His eyes brimming with calculation.

The HOA also visited Nanzhi’s apartment but no matter how much they knock and made noises, Nanzhi didn’t open the door.

Nanzhi turned off the alarm and was currently eating while watching disaster movies on her phone.

“Tenant 2103! If you don’t come out and give your supplies, you’ll be blacklisted!”

Auntie Yang had been indebted to the Nanzhi before. She knew that the HOA didn’t come for a good reason. She left the door opened a small gap and peeked. In case a fight broke out, she can ask her husband to help.

Thankfully, it didn’t happen but Auntie Qi’s actions were very worrying.

After that day, Auntie Qi fulfilled her promised but the distribution was very meager. The one who benefited the most was the HOA, Sun He and Zhou Gui.

Xiao Lizi looked at the bags of noodles, spicy strips, snacks, packs of cigarette and bottles of water Auntie Qi and that man named Sun He secretly brought.

“Brother Zhou, I hope they are to your liking. Please put a few good words about me in front of your father!”

Zhou Gui waved his hand, agreeing before telling them to leave.

This charade was not known to residents except for one person as it occurred in the dead of night.

In the dark, Nanzhi looked at Auntie Qi’s silhouette.

When morning came, there was a shout coming from Auntie Qi’s unit.

Her door was pried opened and the supplies were missing!
