Chapter 65: Shaky Situation (2)
When they were far away from the villager’s camp, A’ze wiped off her tears and made hand gestures informing him about the supplies Nanzhi gave her.
A’Lan looked around before placing a finger on his lips telling his sister to be quiet.
A’ze nodded before leading her brother to the place she hid it.
Once A’lan saw the supplies, especially the food and radio his eyes widened.
A’ze opened a package of loaf bread and dividing them into two, half for her and the other half for her brother.
The milk loaf is very big, smelled nice and even eating just half of it made the two children full.
Without parents to look after them, their meal portions were the poorest among the surviving children in the village. Their Aunt and Uncle could care less about them. This was the fullest meal they had since the storm started.
After satiating their stomachs, A’ze told her brother that big sister who gave them supplies told her that there is a base near Qianhe Mountain. If they go there, they will have a place to stay and no longer sleep out in the cold.
“Brother, if we stay here, we’ll not be able to live well. How about going there?” A’ze asked, moving her fingers.
A’Lan thought about it too and decided to listen to his sister. He used sign language to tell his sister to travel in the night where everyone is asleep.
It would be bad for them if someone found out they have supplies.
A’ze nodded.
Since they couldn’t stay in the villager’s camp, they could only looked for another place to stay and it was at the spot that Nanzhi had cleaned last night.
….
Arriving at the building, Jun was led to the fifteenth floor.
Once he met the boss sitting behind the table, he stretched his lips into a flattering smile and said, “Boss Kang, now that the boat is finished, my father told me that if you can fulfill your promise.”
“It’s about time you finished it. Hurry and pack up our things.” Boss Kang stuffed the guns inside his coat before standing up and heading to the lake where the boat was being docked.
Jun followed Boss Kang.
Ke Xin, Gu Ling and the others soon followed him down while maintaining a meter of a distance from him after finishing packing.
In the villager’s camp, the villagers had barely slept because of the boat that they had to make.
They connected four boat floaters and attached wooden planks looted from the debris which they assembled together in the center as a platform by weaving them with rope made from twisting torn blanket and other textile.
When they saw Boss Kang arrived, they immediately gave way.
Boss Kang saw the boat and didn’t like it at all but he knew that it was the best they could make in a short time.
The deal was that Boss Kang will let the villagers go in exchanged for the boat.
The villagers were finally relieved after finishing the boat but they didn’t know that Boss Kang had other plans for them.
Jun and his father were stunned to hear Boss Kang said, “Get twenty villagers on the boat.”
“Boss Kang, isn’t our job finish…”
Boss Kang’s subordinates were also confused. Why would Boss Kang let these villagers in the boat?!
Boss Kang didn’t like to repeat himself. He aimed the gun in the direction of the villagers and said in irritating voice, “I said get on!”
There were fifty-six villagers remaining and twenty-seven of them. None of them wanted to get on including Jun and his parents.

“We already finished the boat! Don’t be a tyrant and let us go!”
“Yes! Let us go!” Trying to use the crowd tactic to overwhelm Boss Kang, the villagers protested.
But Boss Kang wasn’t a patient man.
Bang—
The one who complained first was shot in the chest and fell on his back.
“Husband!” Shocked, his wife cried.
“That wouldn’t happen if you have just listened.” Boss Kang changed his aim to Jun. “Hurry up! If the boat doesn’t have twenty villagers in the next five minutes, the next bullet is yours!”
Jun was his only parent’s son.
Jun’s father could not turn a blind eye. He quickly pulled the children of other villagers.
The villagers were finally struck by fear.
“Not my child, please!”
A’ze and A’lan heard the noises and peeked from their camp. They witnessed the villagers was being forced onto the boat.
She unconsciously gripped her brother’s. “Brother….”
A’lan pulled his sister to hide behind a tree until the boat sailed into the direction of the orchard.
….
“Brother Lin!” Feng Ran called out when he noticed the other boat nearly capsized.
After the rough shake, Nanzhi checked the waters. They didn’t hit anything at all and so why would the boat shake that much?
Nanzhi got her answers when she saw the black shadow moving in the water.
Lin Weihao saw it too and the two took out their weapons the instance and had themselves ready to jump into the water just in case of worse scenarios.
She didn’t put a life vest on as it would be a drag if she wanted to swim faster.
But this black shadow actually changed its target the last minute and hit Feng Ran’s boat instead.
Splash—
Lin Weihao and Nanzhi saw the three were thrown off.
Nanzhi quickly threw the buoys attached to a rope onto them. “Hurry!”
Lin Weihao grabbed the paddles and rowed closer to them in the fastest speed.
Bingwen, Hei Qian, and Feng Ran resurfaced after twenty seconds, unprepared for the boats overturning, they took in large mouthful of water and now gasping weakly for their breaths.
They grabbed onto what they can hold onto which were the nearest buoys.
Nanzhi pulled the ropes. Lin Weihao admired her astonishing strength and so were the other three.
“Mr. Lin!” Nanzhi pointed on to the terrace of the second floor of the Tourist Hotel, fifty meters away.
Lin Weihao was also thinking heading for that direction.
Bingwen, Hei Qian, and Feng Ran were quickly pulled by Nanzhi.
However, before they can reach the hotel.
Something from the water leaped and its body slammed at them.
Underwater, Nanzhi only saw her vision blurred.
The shadow in the water was about to attack her. Nanzhi finally saw its appearance.
It was a big headed carp!
A harpoon appeared in her hand and it launched towards the shadow. Nanzhi used her telekinesis to increase the penetration and speed.
The water was stained with blood.
Once hit on its body, the carp cried and slammed its tail producing big waves.
The waves forced her to be washed away and when she resurfaced, she found herself in unfamiliar place.
She saw a roof and swiftly swam toward it.
