Chapter 66: Shaky Situation (3)
Lin Weihao and the others have been washed off to the Tourist Hotel.
They were currently hiding inside one of the rooms on the third floor, assessing the current situation.
Lin Weihao gazed outside balcony and his obsidian eyes darker than ever, thinking of Nanzhi’s wellbeing.
Just thinking of her alone outside made his mind churned in anxiety.
Feng Ran remembered the big fish, almost thrice as big as him.
No wonder the boats were easily toppled!
Those villagers deserved an award for raising such a big fish!
He couldn’t help but exclaimed. “Brother Lin, how the heck did that fish grow big to that extent? That size is enough to feed more than 50 people!”
Lin Weihao thought of an answer. It must consume other alien beasts in the area.
He can roughly guess its rank was more than Tier 1 based on its size and strength.
“Boss Lin, I can’t see the big fish anymore. I can’t see sister-in-law too. However, I can see something else through the scope!” Bingwen said.
Hearing it wasn’t Nanzhi, Lin Weihao’s had less motivation but he still stood up and took over Bingwen’s position and saw a rough outline of a boat.
As the boat closer, Lin Weihao could see many people on top.
His mind wandered to the villagers in the lake resort.
His brows furrowed when he spotted people being pushed off one by one.
Lin Weihao leaned forward, wanting to investigate more but the sound of gun shots entered his ears.
The four of them ducked down and take cover.
….
Nanzhi ignored the scalding temperature of the galvanized steel as she grabbed the edge of the tiled roof before using it as a leverage to pull herself up.
Once she was on the roof, she coughed the water out of her system and checked her wounds.
Nanzhi wasn’t able to check how Lin Weihao and others were when the boat was overturned.
The moment the bighead carp slammed its tail, she felt she was a piece of fabric spinning inside the washing machine.
Good thing, she was able to react fast and withdraw a harpoon from her inventory before the carp could come close to her.
Bighead carps along with grass carp, silver carp and black carp lived in Furong Lake.
Although the bighead carp is not fast compared to the other three, they are bottom feeders and can grow up to 110 pounds.
However that bighead carp clearly wasn’t an ordinary one.
She reckoned its size and weight surpassed the bighead carp she knew.
Not to mention, its outrageous jumping ability.
Nanzhi saw the water rippled then a fish head emerged.
The bighead carp actually followed her here!

The bighead carp leaped out of the water like a dragon. Its huge size cast a shadow over her and Nanzhi saw only a part of the steel harpoon left deeply embedded on its body.
The bighead carp’s eyes were bloodshot, extremely angry at the wound she inflicted.
Nanzhi finally saw its information.
[Tier 1 (Mid)- Bighead Carp]
[Attribute: Water]
A stream of water was shot towards her. Nanzhi dodged, and while sliding down on the slope to her left, she took out a gun and fired six consecutive shots aiming at its eye.
The big carp was hit near its eye. It made strange sounds and flared its gills like a peacock expressing its anger before returning to the water and leaping again wanting to use its humungous body to squash her.
Nanzhi jump over to her right before she replaced her gun with a loaded rifle.
Bullets fell like rain.
Nanzhi aimed the rifle at its eyes, mouth and under its stomach where the scale is less hard.
The big carp wailed a strange noise when one of its eyes was hit.
Blood dribbled from the bullet holes in its eye socket and underbelly as it smashed on the tiles of the roof in the smithereens. Nanzhi could feel the roof slightly shake.
The big carp slipped from the roof and went back into the water with a loud splash.
Four water polo volleyed towards her. Nanzhi run fast, jumping pass the hole on the roof before reloading the gun and pressing the trigger.
Bang…Bang…Bang
A water column rise from the water and it blurred her vision of the carp.
Knowing that the prey was stronger than it, the bigheaded carp retreated. Its body sunk into the water.
When the water column was gone, Nanzhi took out the harpoon. Using the blood trail on the water to locate the carp, she released the harpoon with its end tied to a rope and assisted it with her mental power.
The carp hadn’t gone far down before it was hit by the harpoon.
“Gloo!” The carp was hurt, slapped its tail, struggling to get the harpoon off.
Nanzhi quickly picked up the end of the rope and run to the chimney stack planning to tie it there.
She wasn’t going to let an injured alien beast escaped!
But when she was about to reach the chimney stack, her ears picked up the sharp piercing sound.
Nanzhi quickly jumped behind the chimney stack and once she was there, she was stunned to see an unconscious person.
She wasn’t able to stare for so long as she heard the sounds of tiles shattering, followed by another three tiles, each getting closer to her.
Nanzhi pressed her back behind the chimney. Her eyes narrowed on the bullet shells rolling off the roof.
The bullets continued to shot at the roof and some of it aimed at the chimney stack.
She looked at the person next to her. Once checking, a large mirror appeared in her hand, she pushed carefully to her side, outside the cover of the chimney.
Through it, Nanzhi was able to see the tourist hotel, which was about more than three hundred meters away and she spotted a short bright and glaring flare flickered on the top floor of the building before the mirror shattered.
Nanzhi took out a thick mattress to shield herself from the exploding glass shards.
A sniper. What are the odds of finding one in a tourist hotel?
Moreover, why would that person waste bullets on her?
