Chapter 70: A Nuseating Scene
Near the staircase of ninth floor, beside a large window whose glass was shattered, two people were pressed together with no gap in between, flirting.

Despite her age and ordinary looks, Lan Yanxi had maintained a good figure and knows how to tease men.

Even the greedy Lu Chengyu who only has eyes on money and power fell under her skirt.

It wasn’t hard to tease a young tender grass like the man in front of her.

Especially if the latter’s girlfriend is a conservative one.

Ming Xiu was very dissatisfied but because Yu Baoyin’s background is more powerful than his, he kept his displeasure a secret and maintained a gentlemen façade in front of her.

His true nature was only peeled off when he was caught last night entangled with Lan Yanxi.

Yu Baoyin, upon witnessing such a scene cried, punch him and told him that she will tell her father about this and let her father dissolve all the business projects with his Ming family.

He wasn’t sure of the situation in the capital but his Ming family had been relying on Yu family for so long and if all the business funds will be suddenly withdraw, his father will definitely kill him!

In a fit of panic and anger, Ming Xiu tried to kill Yu Baoyin with a knife to silence her but she was so slick and escaped to the water in the last moment.

But listening to the screams from last night, Ming Xiu was sure she was probably eaten by those fishes making him feel relieved.

Lan Yanxi was also there and thankfully she didn’t judge his actions as something horrible and even understand his plight.

His affection for Lan Yanxi increased.

Now, he just needed to concoct a reasonable story for Yu Baoyin’s father when he comes.

“Darling, don’t talk about her anymore. It just puts me into a bad mood.” Ming Xiu’s right hand crawled on the back of Lan Yanxi’s head, allowing him to plant more kisses on Lan Yanxi’s neck.

The two were immersed in their own worlds that they didn’t notice two people closing in.

Lan Yanxi’s eyelashes fluttered and her eyes looking passed Ming Xiu’s neck caught sight of a silhouette standing there and holding a piece of wood in her hand.

When she saw the person’s face, her whole body turned frigid like she had fallen into an ice cellar.

The woman that was supposed to be dead last night was standing in front and staring at her!

She saw her jump off!

She thought she was only hallucinating even she repeatedly blink, the woman remained there.

The hairs on her skin stood and she had no mood to continue this farce.

“G-Ghost!”

Lan Yanxi awakened from stupor and pushed Ming Xiu off her but before it happen, the back of her head was hit with a thick wooden branch creating a loud thudding noise.

Lan Yanxi’s head slammed against Ming Xiu.

Both of their noses crushed against each other and two bloody lines flowed out from their nostrils.

“Argh!” Ming Xiu pinched his nose and looked up wanting to ask why Lan Yanxi did that but when he looked he only saw Lan Yanxi sliding past his shoulders and falling sideways, landing on the floor.

Because it was only the second day, they had yet to clean this floor and there were still fragments of glass scattered around and they left scratches on Lan Yanxi’s body and face.

With Lan Yanxi falling so suddenly, he noticed there was another person looking at him coldly.

As he was about to take a step back, a face popped on his right side.

His eyes widened with disbelief flashing in them. “Yu Baoyin–”

“Bastard!”

Yu Baoyin used all her strength and slammed Ming Xiu’s disgusting face with the wood in her hand that she hurriedly found downstairs.

Ming Xiu’s head spun and black spots dancing in his vision. He fell on top of Lan Yanxi.

“Bastard! Bastard! Bastard!” Even if Ming Xiu was already unconscious, Yu Baoyin didn’t let him off.

He strike his head and face with the wood until it swelled into a pig.

Thinking of all those days she had to risk her life into looking for grapes that was swept by the flood and food in the lower floors while battling the cold and watching out for those perverts just to feed him, only to be repaid by betrayal, Yu Baoyin was very angry!

She kicked Ming Xiu off and was about to club Lan Yanxi too but Sister Nan stopped her.

Stunned, Yu Baoyin asked in a small voice, “Can I continue later?”

A series of footsteps echoed from the corridor, the two carried Ming Xiu and Lan Yanxi to find an empty room downstairs.

After they were gone, five people carrying iron pipes, improvised wooden club with spikes, and knives could be seen patrolling around heading to the lower floors.

Boss Kang and what’s left of his men met these five men.

When he saw these five men, he said, “Tell your Boss that his cousin is here.”
