Nanzhi tossed Yu Baoyin a glance.

“Oh! Oh!” Yu Baoyin, the sidekick, ran to Nanzhi’s side and dragged the other men.

The elderly couple recognized Yu Baoyin. Whenever she have looted something, she would give them a share and when they heard of what happened to her from Ming Xiu, they were sad.

But the two didn’t expect to meet Yu Baoyin again.

“Yatou! I thought you were already dead. That boyfriend of yours said that you slipped off the terrace and fell into the water last night.”

Yu Baoyin pressed her lips. That damn Ming Xiu!

The elderly couple upon being told by the truth were shocked.

Because this place was not suitable to talk, Yu Baoyin told the elderly couple to be quiet and follow them.

Two more tied up goons joined Ming Xiu’s little prison after interrogation.

Since it was approaching lunch, Nanzhi had to fill her stomach first. They chose a room in the 8th floor.

The two elderly couple and Yu Baoyin saw the eight packets of milk flavored bread and biscuits, self-heating meals, and bottles of water.”

“I wanted to cook but the smoke might attract trouble.” Nanzhi explained.

She also wanted to give them MREs but it was suspicious to bring out a thermos full of warm water.

“Yatou, thank you so much.” The elderly couple only ate half a bread and drank a quarter of water yesterday and their stomachs were clamoring for food.

Yu Baoyin also wanted to cry in happiness. Finally there’s meat! “Thank you Sister Nan!”

“Don’t mention it.” She also needed to deal with those people. It’s just that, she wondered if Lin Weihao had also eaten their meals.

15th Floor.

“The Furong Lake is not entirely connected to the river channel visible outside, but there is an underground river. There is a sluice gate in the ranch area near the brewery. If the water in the lake is full and overflowing, the gate can be opened to release water into the underground river. If we can drain the flood water, we can drive away those fish monsters away.”

Boss Kang listened to his cousin’s words and he had a bad premonition.

His fear turns for the worse because of his cousin’s next words.

“I want you to head to the ranch and open the gate before evening.”

Boss Kang’s expression became dark. He let out a nervous laugh and said using a more intimate tone, “Third Cousin Chu, how about asking another person to do it. Your cousin had just arrived and is very tired.”

Boss Kang’s cousin was named Chu Muwen.

Chu Muwen was his cousin from his Father’s side. The two weren’t very close and the times that Boss Kang only met Chu Muwen could be counted by one hand.

When he was recently released from jail, he received a call from Chu Muwen introducing himself as his cousin and asking him if he knows someone who can sell him firearms.

Boss Kang knows some people but he was on his probation period and therefore, he wanted to stay low-key but Chu Muwen’s money offer was very high enough for him to risk it all.

He contacted one of his friends and the two agreed to meet up in the woods of the Furong Lake Resort.

But when that day came, Chu Muwen called him that the firearm seller hasn’t meet with him at all.

Boss Kang was confused he tried to contact his friend but the latter won’t answer his phone.

It was strange considering his friend was not someone who would ignore his calls if it regards a client.

Chu Muwen was very angry and the two continued to talk for the course over the few days.

Boss Kang was also trying to find his friend and decided to head to the Furong Lake Resort but when he came here, the disaster had arrived and he was stranded but before the network was cut off Chu Muwen sent him a message that the food supplies in the Tourist Hotel were richer like wines and cheese which could last for several months.

Boss Kang who only ate dried fish and dried lotus snacks was tempted.

But in exchange for the supplies, Chu Muwen wanted Boss Kang to bring more people.

“My men had been patrolling every night and are exhausted as well. Additionally, I heard from my father that you work in a dam before and knows a little bit of operating it. If you want to join me, then you need to prove your loyalty. If you can accomplish the task too, then I can give you 30% of the supplies and guns as well.”

Chu Muwen showed Boss Kang a box of 9mm ammo and one hand gun.

The number of ammunition Boss Kang possessed was down to three. Thus, he needed to replenish bullets quickly.

But instead of getting happy, Boss Kang was horrified instead.

Didn’t Chu Muwen say that he couldn’t buy the guns because his friend disappeared but why does he have guns?!

“Where is my third brother?” Boss Kang hurriedly asked.

Chu Muwen didn’t bother to hide the truth, he said, “Your friend was a bit greedy and raised the price that day and so I just looted him directly.”

Boss Kang realized what had happened but he already entered the snake’s den. Therefore it was too late to back out.

He only moved slightly and Chu Muwen already disarmed him and injected something into his neck. “This is just to make sure you follow my words. It’s a toxin and if you don’t get the antidote after a day, your nerve system will be totally damage.”

Boss Kang felt like there were some ants crawling on his neck. He was terrified and struggled free from Chu Muwen’s hold but this man was strangely strong.

A kayak, a box of tools, and a map were given to him.

“You need to act fast, if you moved at night. I won’t be able to help you by then.” His marksmanship might be excellent but without clear vision, Chu Muwen is useless. This made him remember that sneaky person on the stable’s roof.
