But if she’s a player, why did she ask that kind of question?

Unable to lie in face of death, Chu Muwen told the Nanzhi.

Nanzhi saw a rock the size of her fists appeared beside Chu Muwen’s knees. Her heavy eyes returned to Chu Muwen, obviously warning him that she doesn’t have any mood to play.

Half an hour passed, Nanzhi extract all the answers she can squeeze from Chu Muwen whether it was about regression, level, functions, powers, and the information the system had given him.

Chu Muwen gnashed his teeth, watching Nanzhi picked up the rock.

“As promised, I will let you go in exchange for the information.”

Nanzhi retrieved her two guns and turned around, exposing her back to Chu Muwen.

Alliance or Plunder?

“Thank you so much!” Chu Muwen bend his back forward to give Nanzhi a bow and by the time he straightened his back, there was a knife with its blade squeezed in between his teeth.

Chu Muwen had a gloating expression as he rushed and stabbed Nanzhi’s neck.

Bang…

Chu Muwen’s body fell midway. The right side of his temple had a bullet wound. He was unaware that Nanzhi didn’t retrieve all the guns and left one behind him.

Plunder it is.

Nanzhi promised to spare him for the information but when he tried to kill her again, Nanzhi wouldn’t be so kind.

Nanzhi spun her head to see Chu Muwen’s corpse, only to find his body gone and only white speckles of dust flew to the window, disappeared into nothingness

Four white cards floated in the spot where Chu Muwen’s body was supposed to be.

If there wasn’t a pool of blood on the floor, Nanzhi would have thought all of it was just a dream.

Why did Chu Muwen’s body disappear?

Nanzhi became silent.

“Sister Nan! Sister Nan!” Yu Baoyin couldn’t take it anymore and rushed in.

What happened here?

Seeing the wreckage, Yu Baoyin became very worried and circled around Nanzhi’s trying to look if she had any wounds. “I heard an explosion, Sister Nan. Are you alright?”

“Yes.” Nanzhi nodded, before collecting the floating cards in her inventory.

“Thank goodness! By the way, where is that Boss Chu? Did he escape?” Yu Baoyin circled around the room until she stopped in front of the supplies. “So many! I only heard that the supplies they gathered are rich but this was still too much!”

Nanzhi’s brows furrowed when Baoyin didn’t even notice the pool of blood.

There was noises coming from outside.

Nanzhi approached the terrace and found the outline of a boat.

There was someone in it and being chased by fish monsters.

Nanzhi didn’t recognize the person but if she were to conduct a backtracking the system mission, she reckoned it must be the one who wanted to open the sluice gate based on the direction he was rowing.

Boss Kang exerted all his strength into paddling for his life towards the roof of the stables.

That damn Chu Muwen abandoned him!

Once Boss Kang was near, he jumped to the roof, regardless of its burning temperature!

But that damn fish didn’t let him off; its mouth caught his feet and it was trying to drag him down!

Boss Kang dug his nails onto the roof with his remaining strength.

However, the fish is so damn strong!

Boss Kang thought his life would end but the fish released made a crying sound and released him.

“Gloo!”

Getting a lease at life, Boss Kang crawled to the top of the roof before looking at the person on the 15th floor.

He thought it would be that hateful Chu Muwen but it’s actually a woman instead.

All the bullets she unleashed hit the fishes accurately and they all sunk to the bottom to take cover, no longer chasing him.

Yu Baoyin was by her side and she couldn’t help but marvel at Nanzhi’s skills.

“Are you perhaps from the military, Sister Nan?”

Nanzhi couldn’t answer Baoyin’s question because a pair of arms encircled her waist and a head burrowed on her neck.

Nanzhi was startled.

“There you are….I was really worried…”

The two sentences were said in a soft voice, almost fragile with the tinged of tremor and a bit of heaviness.

Nanzhi stiffened but didn’t move, allowing Lin Weihao to stay for a while.

She couldn’t explain why her heart was beating fast as if resonating with the person’s behind her.

Yu Baoyin’s eye widened. Ho ho ho! This must be Sister Nan’s boyfriend!

Feng Ran, Bingwen and Hei Qian were relieved.

Brother Lin had wanted to return to the water outside because he wanted to search for Miss Lin. The three of them stopped him in the end, encouraging him to search in the building first.

Thankfully they met with an elderly couple and the two positively answered that they did see long haired woman carrying a machete around and she was heading to the higher floors.
