Chapter 87: Salvaging Aviation Parts
The group headed to the Furong Lake Resort by using the same rivulet they crossed before.

Whilst, Lu Nanzhi spoke, beckoning Yu Baoyin to introduce herself, “This is Yu Baoyin.”

Yu Baoyin cast Lin Weihao and the others a shy look. “Hello, I’m Yu Baoyin! Nice to meet you all! Please treat me nicely!”

It’s like going back to the college days where she had to hang out with her classmates for projects.

They all seem skilled and it made her slightly nervous on how to contribute to the team.

“Bingwen.”

“Hei Qian.”

“Lin Weihao.”

“Feng Ran.”

Feng Ran’s eyes scanned the bubbly Yu Baoyin who had been sticking close to Miss Lu and couldn’t help clicked his tongue and say in his head.

Then, his gaze turned to Lin Weihao with pity and concern.

When the group arrived at the Furong Lake Resort, only a few of the villagers were left. They were staying in the Grand Hotel.

When they saw Nanzhi’s group, their expressions were of hostility but because the other side were armed, the villagers didn’t confront them.

Nanzhi tried to find A’ze but it seems she was no longer around.

Nanzhi also looted the Grand Hotel. She picked the rooms without villagers.

Aside from kitchen appliances and clean furniture, they uninstalled the four empty water tanks on the roof.

She also found desks full of papers, newspapers, stationaries, security cameras, pens, computer monitors, laptops, shelves, the sound system and small speakers she was looking for in the manager’s office in the 12th floor.

Nanzhi only found a small Lucky Toad jade statue underneath one of the desks, increasing the Game Lobby’s time by 0. 3 minute.

After looting the Grand Hotel, Nanzhi and rest walked out of the Lake Resort and headed to the place where Lin Weihao had hidden their motorcycles.

They drove and stopped by the Airport.

The rapid flow of the water smashing into the airport would destroy the airframes of the planes but Lin Weihao reckoned that there are not entirely destroyed.

Cold Fresh Water would allow the plane to deteriorate the slowest and the rate of rust may not be that severe.

In any case, he can consider all wiring and soft material ruined and in need of replacement but some parts may still be salvageable.

One thing that Lin Weihao learned in the apocalypse, you can never hoard enough.

Nanzhi was also very interested and because she doesn’t know what the next dungeon was, she wanted to take advantage of this time to loot what can be looted.

To protect the secrecy of the space, Nanzhi and Lin Weihao made the group divided into three teams.

Yu Baoyin was not convinced at all.

Suddenly, two rats appeared underneath the debris, jumped on them and tried to climb on their clothes.

“Ahh! Get it off! Get it off!”

“Ahh! Don’t throw it to me!”

The two screamed, jumped around, and hugged each other closely trying to fend off the rats.

When the rats were finally gone, Yu Baoyin mercilessly pushed Feng Ran away. Her eyes were clearly asking him ‘Did you remember what you said before?’.

Feng Ran rubbed his nose, a bit embarrassed.

He quickly exclaimed, “Okay, that doesn’t count! That was totally unexpected!”

Yu Baoyin rolled her eyes.

Feng Ran managed to save his dignity by finding some vending machines still filled with food.

Yu Baoyin was also thrilled. “Food!”

Bingwen and Hei Qian also looked at each other and stayed on the road to check their motorcycles’ conditions.

While Nanzhi and Lin Weihao walked to the terminal gates and boarding bridges were most of the aircrafts were gathered.

The two’s targets were those aircraft that have minimal damage.

Lin Weihao revealed that the military base didn’t escape the super typhoon completely unscathed. Some of the cargo planes, jets, and passenger planes parked aboveground were damaged.

Her initial plans was to capitalize the heat wave, go for a zero-dollar shopping and at least steal two or three aircrafts in the airport but because the first dungeon was a super typhoon and her time was occupied by Professor Zhang Heng’s rescue, she was unable to accomplish it.

Now, her option was to trade with the military.

Although Lin Weihao said that he will give any aircraft she wanted, Nanzhi felt bad.

She wasn’t the type of person to take advantage of another person.

Lin Weihao knew her personality as well and immediately changed his words to trading component parts and alien beasts’ carcasses with the military.

Nanzhi finally nodded.

She was not very knowledgeable when it comes to planes. Thus, she handed the reins to Lin Weihao who had taken an aviation course, had 600 flight hours under his belt, and an aircraft maintenance technician at the same time.

He was less than 30 years old. How was he able to achieve all those things?

She silently followed him close, trying to learn something the process and came to understand that because his father had a hobby of recreational flying and would take him out to travel often, Lin Weihao became interested in these things.

He also said that he had a private collection of his own in the base and he would want to show and take her out of on a trip.

“Rather than that, could teach me how to operate an aircraft?” Nanzhi was more interested in operating on her own. She can pay him with spars.

“No problem.” Lin Weihao tilted his lips. Anything she likes he’ll give.

Lu Nanzhi was looking forward to it.

Nanzhi looked around and made sure no was paying attention to them before storing the aircrafts.

Dismantling the airplane parts was a tedious process that requires heavy machineries but because of the inventory function’s [Collect], it became time efficient for her.

From the commercial aircraft, private aircraft, helicopters, and short take-off and landing aircraft, they were able to recover engines, avionics components, landing gears, flight control surfaces, wings and fuselage, interior components, and fuel tanks.
