Chapter 1332: Raining Blood (Part 6)
“Void Rupture!”

As Evan’s words fell, the black hole-like energy ball instantly appeared in front of Bromal’s face, just a few millimeters away.

“Fuc—!”

Bromal cursed loudly, and in the next second—

Swish!

The small black energy ball turned into mist and began to disappear as if it were seeping into space itself.

The entire process took less than a second, and in an instant, the space around Bromal, stretching for nearly one hundred meters was filled with numerous thin hair like cracks—resembling the surface of a shattered mirror.

One of the cracks appeared just a centimeter away from Bromal, and due to the sudden situation, he became flustered and his hand accidentally brushed against the crack.

“Arghhhh!”

A painful scream echoed throughout the Shadow World as a deep wound appeared across Bromal’s entire hand.

Deep purple void energy surged into the wound, tearing through his flesh and forcing him to howl in agony.

Evan hovered above Bromal, calmly observing the numerous hair-thin cracks in space surrounding both of them, then nodded slightly.

He calmly descended, moving through the space riddled with void cracks without being affected by them in the slightest.

Though still tormented by the pain, Bromal soon regained his senses and looked at Evan—who was slowly approaching him. His gaze was both fearful and bloodshot, filled with intense anger.

He was a mid-level Rank Four Core Evolver, and Evan was just a beginner-level Rank Four.

Although he was terrified because of the strange creature and the army of shadow undeads Evan had summoned, Bromal—as someone who had held a high position for thousands of years—couldn’t stomach the fact that someone weaker than him had managed to injure him.

Crackle!

Suddenly, golden lightning erupted from Bromal’s body, and the void energy that had been tearing into his hand was quickly annihilated.

“Die, you bastard!”

He bellowed loudly, and a storm of golden lightning burst from his body like a raging thunderstorm, surging toward Evan.

The distance between them wasn’t much to begin with. As a result, the storm of lightning reached Evan in an instant.

However, the calm look on the bald monk’s face didn’t change and just as the lightning was about to strike him—

Swish!

One of the hair-thin void cracks beside Evan trembled and transformed into a miniature void rift—the size of a grain of rice.

A powerful suction force emerged from the rift, pulling the lightning toward it and swallowing it completely.

“Wha-!!!”

Bromal was shocked by what he saw. However, he didn’t have time to dwell on it, because in the next moment, a void crack behind him began to tremble, and—

Crackle!

The sound of lightning crackling echoed as the crack transformed into a miniature rift, just like before, and spat out all the lightning that the rift beside Evan had swallowed—right back at Bromal.

All of this happened so fast that Bromal couldn’t react in time, and as a result, he was blasted away by his own attack.

Because the lightning came from himself, Bromal wasn’t seriously injured by it. However, being blasted away sent his body crashing through numerous void cracks, each one slicing into him and leaving deep wounds all over—turning him into a bloody fountain.

“I expected something like this… but still… Mid-level Rank Four is just too weak for me to test my powers properly…” Evan muttered in a low voice and sighed.

He looked at the bloody figure of Bromal and shook his head.

“Well, might as well use him to test my physical capabilities.”

As he spoke, he appeared beside Bromal in the very next instant.

Bromal was still howling in pain as the void energy tore through his flesh when he suddenly felt someone grab his throat.

“Ughhh!”

He opened his eyes with great difficulty and found himself staring into Evan’s cold, black eyes—eyes that looked at him as if he were nothing more than garbage.

Shame flooded Bromal’s mind as he saw the contempt in Evan’s gaze. His already red eyes grew even bloodier, as if they were about to bleed.

“Arghhhh!”

He screamed like a wounded beast, and another burst of golden lightning erupted from his body.

This time, Evan was extremely close, leaving him no chance to dodge or defend.

“Die! Die! Die, you bastard!”

Bromal screamed like a beast that had completely lost its mind, pouring every ounce of his power into the attack as he unleashed it directly on Evan.

The black Shadow World was illuminated by golden lightning, and even those fighting in distant areas could feel the pressure and intensity of the clash.

“Hahahaha!!!”

Seeing Evan completely engulfed by the lightning, and feeling the grip on his throat weakening, Bromal began to laugh maniacally.

“That’s what you get for being cocky! How dare you touch me without any defense!”

“HAHAHAH… Urgh!!”

Bromal was still in the middle of laughing when his laughter abruptly stopped, and a pained groan escaped his lips. His eyes widened in pure horror.

“What a weak lightning.”

He heard an indifferent voice, and the next moment—

Crack!

The sound of bones snapping echoed as Evan broke his neck.

The lightning pouring from Bromal’s body vanished in an instant, and Evan’s figure—previously submerged in the golden light—reappeared, completely unharmed.

“H-how?”

Bromal stuttered in disbelief, looking at the bald monk who stood before him, completely untouched.

‘The Dragon Blood Flowers really made me a perfect tank…’ Evan thought inwardly, feeling only a slight numbness from having endured Bromal’s attack head-on.

‘I think only an attack from a peak Rank Four would be able to break through my defense and actually cause me damage.’

As he came to this realization, Evan’s lips curled into a slight smile, and he raised his gaze to look at Bromal.

‘The vitality of a Rank Four Core Evolver whose body is nourished by the power of laws is truly incredible…’

Evan narrowed his eyes, noticing that even after breaking his neck, Bromal was still alive—and his body was already showing signs of healing.

“Well, it’s not like vitality matters in front of absolute power.”
