Chapter 477: Chapter 477: Creator God, Changes in the Realm of Chaos
The space passage flickered as the group surged forward like madmen.
Buzz!
A low, ominous hum echoed as terrifying laws of The Heaven surged. The nine massive heads of the Nine-Headed Lion glowed brightly as it began to gather a powerful new attack.
Whoosh!
Nine beams of light shot forward, roaring as they rushed toward their target.
“Go!” The Merciless Emperor called out softly, pushing John and the others into the space passage.
“The Path of Mercilessness, utter detachment!” Her expression cold and resolute, the Merciless Emperor swung her blue longsword, sending several sword lights to slash at the nine beams.
Boom!
A deafening explosion rang out as the sword lights shattered, and the Void cracked open. The nine beams of light paused only briefly before continuing their relentless assault.
However, this brief pause gave the Merciless Emperor just enough time to flee. She didn’t care about anyone else and immediately jumped into the space passage.
Boom!
The light beams struck down, and the space passage was shattered. The Merciless Emperor was caught in the blast, sent flying away, and separated from John and the others. Fortunately, they had arrived in the Realm of Chaos and temporarily escaped the danger.
Roar…
The Nine-Headed Lion roared continuously, slaughtering the remaining Emperors and Nine-Star powerhouses. It mercilessly crushed them, leaving no chance for retaliation.
In just a few breaths, tens of thousands of powerful beings were slaughtered, their souls devoured, leaving only Anixegon, VoidEmperor, and a few thousand Church of Light and Black Magicians trembling in fear.
The Void fractured, and endless space turbulence surged, the area falling into utter ruin.
“So terrifying…” Anixegon stared at the Nine-Headed Lion, swallowing nervously, his heart trembling.
If it weren’t for the special laws of the Realm of Chaos preventing its descent, the Nine-Headed Lion could likely have destroyed the entire Realm of Chaos with ease.
Buzz!
At that moment, a terrifying aura descended, vast and all-encompassing, enveloping the entire Void.
Whimper… The Nine-Headed Lion made a strange whimpering noise and, to everyone’s shock, curled up obediently on the ground, like a well-behaved cat.
Creator God!
Anixegon’s heart trembled. Realizing what was happening, he quickly knelt.
Only the Creator God could make such a fierce beast as the Nine-Headed Lion behave so docilely.
VoidEmperor also reacted in time, bowing deeply with his head lowered.
“Eh, this space passage can’t close?” A deep, ancient voice echoed through the Void. No other powerful presence appeared, but the overwhelming aura lingered.
Anixegon and the others were filled with fear, not daring to move a muscle.
The space passage trembled but refused to close.
“Interesting, it seems I underestimated the strength of the Realm of Chaos,” the voice continued, almost as if speaking to itself. No one dared respond.
Even the Nine-Headed Lion remained obediently crouched.

“The little lion, it seems you will have to stay here and not let anyone escape.” The voice echoed.
Whimper! The Nine-Headed Lion let out a few whimpering sounds, clearly protesting, but still begrudgingly nodded in agreement.
With it guarding this place, no one could escape.
“Anixegon!” The authoritative voice rang out again, without a trace of emotion.
Anixegon trembled, crawling forward two steps and deeply bowing his head, awaiting the command.
The voice echoed again: “You’ve disappointed me. I’ve given you so much help, yet you couldn’t even hold the Realm of Chaos.”
“My lord!” Anixegon exclaimed in terror, quickly saying, “I didn’t expect that Overlord would be able to summon eight Golden Wheel of Laws. Please, my lord, give me another chance. I am willing to make up for my mistakes.”
A deathly silence enveloped the area. He couldn’t help but swallow, cold sweat trickling down his forehead.
He was acutely aware of the Creator God’s terrifying power. Even an Emperor was nothing more than a weed in a garden in front of it, something easily eradicated.
The Creator God simply didn’t bother to act against them.
After a long pause, the voice spoke once more: “I’ll give you one more chance. Kill Overlord, capture John, and the girl named Sini. I don’t want to see any more forces of resistance in the Realm of Chaos.”
Anixegon froze, uncertain. “My lord, Overlord is still alive?”
He had seen it with his own eyes earlier—the Nine-Headed Lion had smashed half of Overlord’s body, and he took another hit from the Nine-Headed Lion. Even a two-star Emperor wouldn’t have survived that.
“He is severely injured, you can handle him. If you fail again, you—along with the entire Realm of Chaos—will no longer be necessary…” The voice gradually faded, and the terrifying presence also disappeared.
Anixegon wiped the sweat from his forehead, letting out a long sigh of relief once he confirmed the Creator God had departed.
He bowed respectfully to the Nine-Headed Lion and then turned to VoidEmperor. “Take me to Overlord.”
Overlord’s World-in-Hand had self-destructed, and Anixegon guessed he must have escaped to the place he had hidden before.
Only those Emperor-level experts knew where it was.
VoidEmperor nodded, without hesitation, and tore open the Void, creating a space passage back to the Realm of Chaos.
…
The Realm of Chaos had undergone earth-shattering changes.
The energy in the entire space dissipated, and vitality drained away, as though it had suddenly turned into a wasteland—endless and barren.
This was the result of the Heaven Divine Stele shattering and the disappearance of the laws of The Heaven.
The Realm of Chaos could no longer sense any power within it.
At that moment, John and the others arrived. They had narrowly escaped, but upon seeing the desolate environment around them, they stood frozen in place.
“It’s over. The Heaven Divine Stele shattered, and the Realm of Chaos has lost all its vitality. It has truly become a hell,” the Chaos Emperor’s voice was filled with despair as he collapsed to the ground.
Emperor-level beings almost possessed endless lifespans, but only if there was power to sustain them.
Now, with all the energy in the Realm of Chaos gone, they had no choice but to rely on their own internal energy to stay alive. Once that ran out, their deaths would be inevitable.
The Nine Phoenix group was also downcast, sighing heavily.
The Realm of Chaos was nothing more than a prison. After all their efforts, they had only hoped to escape from here.
But now, with Overlord’s life or death uncertain, the Heaven Divine Stele shattered, and the laws of The Heaven vanished, their strength was stagnated, and it seemed they might forever be trapped here.
For Emperor-level beings, who almost possessed infinite lifespans, this was as unbearable as death itself.
John furrowed his brow and spoke up, “No, we still have a chance. If Overlord was able to break the Void, so can we.”
His tone was filled with immense confidence.
If Overlord could break through the Void, then he could too.
The Heaven Divine Stele shattered, and the energy in the Realm of Chaos dissipated. Others might find it difficult to improve their cultivation, but he wouldn’t be affected.
He had the Plunder talent, and also had a vast amount of Heart of the Continent, meaning his strength wouldn’t be diminished in the slightest.
Moreover, the Heaven Divine Stele had only been shattered, not completely destroyed. As long as they could find the fragments of the Stele, there might still be a chance to restore it.
“Find the fragments of the Heaven Divine Stele?” Nine Phoenix furrowed her brows, thinking deeply. Hope once again lit up in her eyes as she spoke, “That could indeed be a solution. The Stele has shattered, but the power of laws still resides within it.”
“But how do we escape here? The Nine-Headed Lion is guarding the Void,” the Chaos Emperor spoke, throwing a cold bucket of water on their plans.
The group fell silent. Just thinking about the Nine-Headed Lion’s terrifying strength made them uneasy.
Although they had escaped to the Realm of Chaos, they had all been heavily wounded.
And that was just from the residual impact of the Nine-Headed Lion’s attack. If they were to face the creature head-on, they would most certainly perish.
John turned to the Nine Phoenix group and asked, “Is that Nine-Headed Lion the Creator God?”
Emperor-level experts were powerless before it, and the beast wielded multiple powerful laws of The Heaven. It seemed only the Creator God could accomplish such a feat.
Nine Phoenix, still shaken, replied with a serious expression, “No, that’s just a pet raised by the Creator God.”
“A pet?” John widened his eyes, stunned.
If that thing was just a pet, how powerful must the Creator God be?
Nine Phoenix nodded and said, “Fortunately, the Realm of Chaos is special. The Creator God and the Nine-Headed Lion cannot fully descend here. But they are surely watching over the Void, blocking any attempts at our escape.”
The group was filled with despair. They felt utterly powerless against the Nine-Headed Lion and knew they had no way to fight back.
And behind it, there was the even more terrifying Creator God.
But John spoke resolutely, “It’s not all about strength. If the Creator God was truly invincible, they wouldn’t have trapped us here.”
John’s words reignited hope in the group.
The Chaos Emperor also stood up from the ground and spoke, “That’s true. Worst case, we die. John, what do you want us to do?”
The others turned to him, now looking to him for guidance.
“You all search for the fragments of the Heaven Divine Stele. I have other matters to attend to.” He said, pulling out a shard the size of a fist.
This was a fragment of the Heaven Divine Stele that he had snatched during the shattering of the Stele. The fragment still contained the power of The Heaven, and it allowed him to sense the locations of the other fragments.
“Alright, we’ll take care of this.” The Chaos Emperor nodded and took the fragment from John.
John then summoned Sini and the others from the World-in-Hand to assist in the search for the fragments.
Their strength was formidable; though they were still only at the eight-star level, they were not inferior to nine-star powerhouses. With the Earthquake of Chaos shaking the realm, their power should not be underestimated.
With Overlord and Merciless Emperor’s fates uncertain, and Anixegon from the Church of Light no longer posing a significant threat, they had little to fear.
Besides, the Church of Light still had Elsa.
John could sense that Elsa was still alive and unharmed.
“Remember, if there’s danger, contact me immediately.” John handed out several communication stones to them, so they could reach him if they needed help.
“Don’t worry. We’ll be fine.” Nine Phoenix assured him. The group used the shard of the Stele to sense the locations of the other fragments, and then quickly vanished.
A thought crossed John’s mind, and he summoned Avis.
“Let’s go. To Dark City.” He leaped onto Avis’s back and gave his command.
The Celestial Vault had already fallen, and Dark City had once been Skybroke’s World-in-Hand. It was vast, and John intended to refine it and incorporate it into his own World-in-Hand.
Moreover, it seemed that there was something hidden within Skybroke’s belongings, perhaps something within Dark City itself.
“Understood!” Avis replied, quickly determining the direction. She spread her wings, soared into the sky, and flew toward Dark City.
