Chapter 233: Space Talent (SSS)
‘This is a powerful sealing, I’ve never expected to meet such a thing…’
“Master?” Aetherion nudged him gently. “Is the sleeping thing bad?”
“Very bad,” Arthur confirmed. “And we need to make sure it stays asleep.”
“For now, at least. Until I’m ready.”
He studied the door more carefully.
“Aether, I need you to stay away from this door. Don’t touch it again. Don’t attack it.”
The dragon looked disappointed. “But it’s fun!”
“It’s dangerous. Even for you.”
Reluctantly, Aetherion nodded.
Arthur took one last look at the mysterious door.
This would require careful planning.
“Let’s go,” he told Aetherion. “I need to prepare my warriors for what might be coming.”
As they left the area, Arthur’s mind was trying to figure out what was behind that door.
‘Could it be related to what the demons were looking after?’ He thought.
…
After relocating to a clearing far from the mysterious door, Arthur stood with Aether by his side.
The moon cast silver light across the mountain plateau, illuminating them in an otherworldly glow.
Arthur opened Aether’s status once more, the familiar blue window materializing before him.

‘The fourth SSS talent…’ Arthur thought, a wave of unexpected emotion washing over him.
His journey flashed before his eyes.
The slums where he’d grown up, stealing scraps to survive.
The military facility that had taken him in—not out of kindness, but because they saw a useful tool.
The sister he is still fighting to save.
And now here he stood, about to claim his fourth SSS-rank talent in Armageddon.
Glancing at the dragon beside him, Arthur felt his emotions fluctuate.
A soft, genuine smile formed on his lips.
‘Life is truly full of surprises,’ he thought. ‘From a kid in the slums who stole food to survive, to… commanding a dragon…’ He chuckled inwardly at the absurdity of it all.
“Master? Why are you smiling?” Aether asked, tilting his massive head curiously.
Arthur shook his head. “I remembered something funny. Aether?”
“Yes, Master?” The dragon perked up, eager to please.
“If you were able to give me your talent whilst also keeping it to yourself, would you give it to me?”
Arthur wasn’t sure why he asked. He never sought permission before. Something about this childlike dragon made him want to… ask. To be given rather than take.
“Of course I would, Master!” Aether bounced excitedly. “I would be honored to share my power with you!”
The simple sincerity in the dragon’s voice pierced something inside Arthur.
He reached out, caressing the dragon’s massive head.
“I see…Thank you.”
Charlotte, Aether, and his other summons were the only ones he truly believed wanted good for him without ulterior motives.
In a world of users and manipulators, these connections felt… real.
Taking a deep breath, Arthur activated his second talent effect:
Talent Effect #2: You are able to ‘extract’ one talent/Skill from your beast, and keep it as your own.
A thread of energy formed between him and Aether—not severing, not stealing, but connecting.
Sharing.
[You have extracted “[SSS-Rank Talent: Space]” successfully]
Power flooded Arthur’s body. Cold yet burning. Empty yet infinite. The universe seemed to contract around him, then expand exponentially.
Then it settled, becoming part of him.
Aether blinked, staring at Arthur with newfound wonder. “Master? Why do I feel like you suddenly have the breath of space?” He sniffed the air curiously. “It’s like looking in a mirror that isn’t a mirror!”
Arthur flexed his hand, feeling the new power thrumming through his veins.
“Because we’re connected now,” he found himself saying. “Your power is my power. My path is your path.”
Aether’s entire body wiggled with joy. “We’re like family!”
“Family…” Arthur whispered the word.
“Yes,” he said finally. “Something like that.”
In the quiet of the mountain night, with a dragon bouncing excitedly beside him and new power coursing through his veins, Arthur permitted himself five seconds of unguarded emotion.
Five seconds to acknowledge what he was building wasn’t just an arsenal or an army.
It was, perhaps, something more.
Then the moment passed. Arthur’s expression returned.

“Absolute control…” Arthur whispered.
A smile spread across his face, the kind that would have made his enemies run if they’d seen it.
“With this talent, my power increased by several folds.”
“Master can jump now? Like me?” Aether bounced excitedly.
“Something like that,” Arthur said, focusing on a spot ten meters away.
The air rippled. Distorted. Then—
He was standing there. There was no movement. No transition.
Just… displacement.
“AMAZING!” Aether clapped his massive claws together. “Do it again!”
Arthur obliged, teleporting back. Each jump felt natural, like breathing. As if his body had always been meant to move this way.
“Let’s try something else.”
He focused on a boulder, imagining space bending around it. The rock warped, compressing into half its original size before returning to normal when he released his focus. He could have broken the rock, but his trial wasn’t about destruction, it was about control.
