Only Wisdom Awakened - Chapter 105
Chapter 105: You
One of the two awakened behind Lans was now dead, while the other, slightly quicker with his reaction time, managed to barely fend off the spell, parrying it with an aura-infused sword, and slightly changing its trajectory.
His end, however, wasn’t far, since while he was still trying to get his mind straight because of what had just happened, he saw a sword coming out from the middle of his chest.
The dean had managed to make use of that split second of the mental absence of her opponent to sneak up behind him, piercing his back with the sword she had previously robbed from his comrade.
Blood flowed out of his mouth and his chest, and he soon reached the end of his being.
There was only one left to take care of: Lans.
The blonde man gritted his teeth at the disgusting sight of the two dead men.
‘Fuck’ he thought.
The dean started walking towards him, and he began threatening her.
“Bitch! Now you’ve done it!!
Don’t think you’ll manage to die a peaceful death, as soon as I get out of here that’ll be the end of you.”
Stopping him from his useless yapping was Hans, who said:
“What makes you think you will get out of here?”
Lans immediately turned around to see the young boy speaking.
And soon replied:
“You will see, I will call someone who will raze this place to the ground, and I’m sure you already met them”
As the blonde man took out a phone from his pocket, Hans’s pupils spread.
‘Them?
Does he mean….
Them?!’
The images of the red tyranny attack flashed through his mind, and his killing intent began to leak.
Even if it was only a job, he had been the teacher of those students for about three months and had grown attached to them, almost as a friend more than a teacher.
Both theirs and Aiden’s lives had been put at risk because of the attack of the red tyranny, he couldn’t blame it on anyone because he didn’t know who had done it, but now…
Before Lans could even call anyone Hans sprinted, disappearing for a second just to reappear beside the rainbow barrier.
This movement, way too fast for any regular human to notice, appeared really fast even in the eyes of the two ‘S-ranks’.
Took off guard by the incredible speed displayed by the supposed mage, they couldn’t help but show signs of surprise on their faces.
“Tell me.
Was it you the one who sent those slaughterers from the red tyranny?”
Questioned Hans.
“What?” asked herself the dean from afar, hearing the conversation.
She had thoroughly interrogated Henriksson and discovered that they were the ones who drove the parents to ask about the raising of the seventh-tier barrier, but they had nothing to do with the assault at the academy and just found it like a heaven-sent opportunity to snatch the scales from her.

‘The one behind all these troubles, the one who drove me to the edge, the one who almost made me quit my life mission, the one who almost caused the death of all my subordinates and students.
All this time..’
“It was you?!”
The dean’s killing intent had also begun to leak, and Lans soon found himself between a sixth-tier mage with as much mana as a seventh-tier one and an almost SS-rank fighter’s killing intent.
The mana emanated from Hans’s rage and the aura leaking from the dean’s hatred would’ve been enough to paralyze any awakened below S-rank, but the blonde man was shielded by his barrier, and thinking he was safe, he decided to enrage them even more to entertain himself.
“Hm? Oh, are you talking about that?
But of course…
Since my disciple needed a little bit of help with his task I was obliged to give it to him.
Haha, what? You didn’t like my gift?”
” This fucking!…”
The dean was revealing even more of her emotions, completely falling for Lans’s provocations.
But in the meantime, Hans’s head was occupied with something else.
He had been carefully observing and analyzing the rainbow barrier in front of him, and it was really similar to the one that trapped the both of them when they first met Lans.
‘Where?! Where?! Where is it?’
Hans’s eyes were fixated on the barrier, his pupils going back and forth, left and right, he scanned every last bit of the rainbow spherical spell in front of him, searching for the weak point that allowed him to break the previous one.
However… it wasn’t there, there wasn’t a single weak point, it was like a perfect barrier.
How could it ever be? A perfect barrier? It was supposed to be reached only at the highest level, there had to be something, a weakness, an opening, anything.
He was searching for anything that would’ve allowed him to punch the shit out of the annoying and disgusting man inside that praiseworthy barrier.
But it wasn’t there, even his passive skill {mystic insight} couldn’t help him with that.
But why? The first one had worked, why not the second?!
Hans was having a mental overheat, and he was about to just cast whatever spell he could to tear apart that barrier.
But his ridiculously high wisdom allowed him to keep his thoughts straight, and think of a solution to the current problem.
‘There isn’t a weak point? No!
It’s just that I can’t see the weak point, it must be somewhere.’
As he elaborated all the information he had acquired up till now, flashed in his mind the way the man had activated the barrier when feeling threatened.
He had lowered his body, and put both hands on the ground, before starting the activation of the already cast barrier.
That was it, the only reason he couldn’t find the weakness of the barrier, it wasn’t because there wasn’t one, or because he couldn’t see it with his abilities, but because it was hidden in the underground part of the sphere.
‘Found it!
You are one hundred percent…
Dead’
Whispering to him, Hans said:
“I think you might be forgetting something important:
From the start, the reason all your subordinates perished at our hands…
Is because I can smash this annoying barrier of yours.”
“I would like to see you try” said the other smiling.
‘Last time the barrier was a casual one, had I known such a keen mage was with her I wouldn’t have trapped them with such a flawed one.
But…
Now that I know of your existence, you won’t ever be able to find the weakness in my barriers again.
I hid its only flaw underground, you won’t be able to find it even if you search for it all day.
Boy, you are twenty years too early to try to kill me’
His smug look disappeared as Hans’s attack wasn’t directed towards the barrier but towards the ground.
{earth splitter}(tier-4)
It was a spell he had obtained by practicing the spell {earthquake} to the limit.
As soon as his clenched fist reached the ground, the green grass and the dark dirt underneath it split, and soon followed the barrier, which was smashed to smithereens.
Watching his masterpiece and salvation being shattered, Lans exclaimed, without even the strength to raise his voice:
“Fuck”
As soon as the barrier defending him disappeared, the dean strengthened her grip on the sword handle, almost smashing it.
And slashed the sword with every single bit of energy left in her body.
Without aura, which had been completely depleted, the cut on the man’s neck was rough and coarse, but still enough to make his head fall off.
Panting heavenly,
The dean then fell on the dirty ground, completely exhausted by the barely survived fight.
After throwing the five dead bodies into the pit created by his spell, he covered them with dirt to cover the traces of the fight as much as possible.
Hans took the dean on his shoulder and brought her back to the academy, dragging the three people he had left alive with a string he looted from the dead old man with his other hand.
While he was walking down the stone path to return to the Academy, something annoyed him, it was a strange and uncomfortable feeling.
It was like someone…
Was spying on him.
In the meantime, inside a small cell, lit barely enough to see all the corners, a young man was looking outside the only opening to the outside world, through which a ray of sunlight fell upon the middle of the concrete floor, he was tied with both his hands on the wall, unable to move if not his mouth and eyes.
In his heart, he understood that something was wrong.
He was Henriksson.
It had already been more than twenty minutes since he had heard the whistle of his master, and yet, no one had shown up to save him.
Were they perhaps not there to save him?
He hoped with all his soul that wasn’t the case and managed to just whisper a few words.
“Master…
When are you coming to rescue me?”
