Only Wisdom Awakened - Chapter 116
Chapter 116: Feared
A cold and threatening glance from Hans pierced Rika’s facade.
“Is what she is saying the truth?”
“This… it’s complicated-”
“I asked…. Is what she said the truth?”
In front of the immeasurable and terrifying mana emitted by Hans, the woman simply couldn’t bring herself to lie, as if put under a truth machine.
Not hearing any reply, he was now sure of it.
Angered to death, he sprinted toward the building, and just before entering, he put his all in a single jump, that slang him up to the fifth floor’s window.
…
Twenty minutes earlier…
Inside the class, the students were sweating, not letting out a peep while listening to the teacher’s explanation.
It was as if nothing had happened, the only difference was that in front of the door were two ice statues.
One was David, while the other was Logan, who, after seeing his classmate frozen, had rebelled against the mad teacher.
Just raising his voice had been enough for him to end up frozen, under the effect of the dreadful and vicious spell of the man.
Then, as if nothing worth noting had happened, the teacher took his place again, and sitting in front of the teacher’s desk, he carefully analyzed all the students.
None of the younglings had their heads held up, instead, scared, they were trembling while facing down.
Seeing the scene, the man thought to himself:
‘How convenient, after showing my spell they became obedient, maybe I should freeze one of them every lesson, that way I won’t have to worry about class’s disturbance.’
In the meantime, his lips curved, forming a wide smirk on his face.
The few unlucky students who had gathered enough courage to look at him were surprised by his evil, devious, and terrifying smile.
Beginning his explanation, the teacher didn’t care about any of the students, he instead just explained the perfect definition of the spells he was teaching, something not so difficult, that anyone could do as long as they read a book or two about magic.
Apart from the fact that the alarm had been ringing for almost thirty minutes and that the lesson felt like a reading book, the students were also starting to get accustomed to the situation.
‘Dont talk,
Don’t move,
And don’t express yourself.’
These were the three rules that allowed the rest of them to survive in that chaotic classroom.
It was going smoothly, just another ninety minutes and they would’ve been able to get out of there.
It was all they could ever hope for.
The ticking of the clock on the wall repeated louder and louder into the students’ ears, and they already looked forward to being free once again.
But this ticking was interrupted when a louder and rougher sound took over the room.
The clean-looking slide metal door was punched open by someone on the other side.

From the hallway, a man whose face couldn’t yet be seen by the students talked to the teacher:
“Mr. Naomi, we have come under the dean’s orders.
You have broken the regulations of the Academy, threatening the students and possibly breaking off the bond between us and the American Academy.
For this, you will have to leave the Academy for an undetermined amount of time.
I hope that you will quietly follow us outside without putting up any resistance.”
The annoyed face of the teacher, contrary to the man he was speaking to, was clearly visible to the students.
“Let me finish my lesson and piss off, I have never done any of that shit.
It’s just a baseless accusation”
The other man’s eyes went back and forth between Mr. Naomi and the ice statues that were created as if he was trying to say: ‘You want to lie with evidence right in front of you?’
“Sir. I’m afraid we will have to postpone this lesson of yours, even if we are grateful for your honorable job, this time the matter isn’t to be taken lightly, these students are an example of that, we can’t just leave them like this.”
Said the person behind the door, pointing at the two frozen exchange students.
“This is just me disciplining some of my students.
If you want to butt in I’m afraid I will have to report the matter, telling my cousin that I’m not able to hold a proper lecture because some pricks continuously annoy me.”
But his words of threat were worthless. The person he was relying on was the same person who ordered them to take him away.
“You leave us no choice, in sorry about this”
The man unsheathed his sword, and right behind him, his six companions also prepared for a battle.
However, before any of them could oppose any resistance, a wave of the man’s hand was all it took for them to shut up.
The students, who couldn’t see outside the room, were all wondering what had happened.
Why had they all stopped talking? Why was the sound of their movements no longer there? And why didn’t the teacher look at them anymore?
These were all the questions the students were asking themselves, while outside, Hans was confused as to how seven strong awakened’s presence disappeared in a blink of an eye.
The only one who knew the truth was Naomi, who now had two new things to take care of:
First of all, his cousin, or so-called “brother” had sent someone to arrest him again, and lastly…
The seven ice statues just outside his classroom would’ve hindered the passage of the students…
“What a hassle” he thought, shaking his head.
“See, that’s why you don’t interrupt a teacher’s explanation.
Listen well if you don’t want to become a popsicle.”
“You know, you have to be the best class I’ve had since ever, this teaching technique is seemingly working, how about I adapt this one from now on, with it I won’t have to worry about any-
‘Crack….”
The huge window on the right side of the room, opposite the entrance, shattered a few milliseconds later.
Among all the falling shards of glass, reflecting the sunlight, stood Hans.
For the first time since the start of the lesson, Mr. Naomi looked genuinely concerned and shocked.
The young man standing in front of him had just bashed through a window on the fifth floor.
Even after the unexpected arrival of Hans, the teacher managed to regain his posture, thinking in his mind of Hans like another one of the annoying flies.
But just equally, Hans was surprised when seeing the situation.
Nine frozen statues were standing behind the teacher, and based on their appearance and the mana they gave off, seven were the statues of the expedition team previously sent inside.
But more than shock, the emotion currently overflowing from Hans’s eyes and expression was rage, rage from seeing two of his students frozen, and yet everyone else alright.
Unconsciously, he released his mana, revealing to the other the fact that he was a mage.
‘Is this… a sixth-tier mage? So young!’
‘Why is there another one here?
I’m sure I’ve just taken care of the other’
“Hey.
Release my students right now, or else I won’t go easy on you.”
Hearing that the language spoken was American, and finally watching the boy in the face, the teacher began laughing.
“Hahaha… another fucking foreigner wants to order me around!” said the man in Japanese.
He then proceeded to walk towards his desk.
Taking out of one of the drawers a little translating device.
He threw it to Hans, and ordered, speaking English:
‘Put it on’
Hans did as told, not because he was obeying, but because he couldn’t understand any of the words coming out of the man’s mouth.
“It’s not a place for a foreigner here, get on the ground and apologize, I will then let you get away without hurting you”
Hans, who could now understand what the other side was saying, replied:
“What gives a fifth rank like you the confidence to act so mighty in front of me?”
“So what if I’m fifth rank, even seventh rank mages won’t be able to withstand my magic, you have an example right here don’t you?”
This was a bluff, he had actually come across a seventh-rank mage, but the mana of a high-ranking mage was so pure that his spell didn’t manage to trap it for even a second.
“Also, in case you didn’t know, my skill puts a timer on someone’s life, and your dear companions will die in about twenty minutes.
If I don’t dispel it that is”
Hans watched the frozen sixth-tier mage, and before deciding to do anything rashly, he analyzed the opponent.
Scrolling through the information with his eyes, Hans found something curious:
The description of his highest-ranking spell.
Hans did his best to hold his laughter in, enraging the man.
“Pffff… hahaha, Your spell only freezes someone for one hour before releasing them and you dare to say my students will die?!”
“What?!” Naomi’s face was distraught…
‘How?
How could he know?’
