Only Wisdom Awakened - Chapter 132
Chapter 132: Peace of mind
While chaos was unleashed in the outside world, Hans was peacefully enjoying his time at the library.
He had a personal butler who would bring him a meal as soon as he called for it and had the entirety of the place just for himself.
Consuming knowledge like a sponge, Hans spent two whole months reading, and in that time, his wisdom reached unbelievable heights.
Two months later….
“Knock knock”
A person knocked on the huge door, disturbing Hans’s practice.
And a few seconds later, he opened the entrance to the place.
Welcoming him outside once again was the dean, who had taken her time to come and greet him out of his retirement.
“It’s good to see you”
“Yeah… good to see you too”
Said Hans, passing right beside her and walking away.
‘Is he angry?
Did he perhaps not find what he was hoping for?
Silence ruled the car ride, while they both sat on the back of a black luxury car.
Hans watched the building pass by outside the window, and he bit his own lip from the anger.
‘Why…. Why can’t I advance?’
It had been six weeks since Hans reached the 2500 points in his wisdom stat, but he continued reading anyway, since the usual message from the system:
[you have reached the peak of a mid-level mage, to advance any further wisdom won’t be enough.
While your body still hasn’t broken through and created the seventh circle, you will not be able to gain any wisdom.
All the accumulated wisdom will instead be bestowed upon you as soon as you advance.
Mission:
Create your seventh circle
Rewards:
All the wisdom accumulated before advancing,
all the wisdom incoming from the advancement of a true mage,
The qualification to???.]
Confirmed that his wisdom would be given back to him as soon as he advanced.
He thought that leaving two weeks to break through was more than enough and spent four more weeks reading to raise his wisdom.
But after he finished reading and began meditating to advance, something unusual happened.
He couldn’t form his circle.
Follow new episodes on the "N0vel1st.c0m".
He just couldn’t, as if he was trying to hold a weight his body could not handle.
As soon as he tried to shape his mana into a circle, it would just crumble into pieces, leaving him with nothing but wasted efforts.
He still didn’t give up, for fourteen days, he spent day and night working on the seventh circle creation.
He tried in various ways, with various shapes, even while doing different things, and yet none of them worked.
He was stuck in the sixth rank, unable to advance.
Since in the last two weeks of practice, he hadn’t achieved anything, much less figured out a way to do so, he decided to spend the rest of his time improving his spells, and preparing for the incoming battle of the gate raid.
As he had asked her, the dean brought him to a training facility built purposely for high-tier mage awakened.
He entered the building, still pretty pissed off because of his failure.
“Is everything okay?” asked the dean before going away and leaving Hans alone there.
When it got so bad to the point where even she asked if everything was good, Hans realized how much he had let this obsession take control of his emotions.
It was a normal reaction since he had spent the last fourteen days of his life trying to achieve something without any results, but he was still disappointed in himself.
“No it’s all fine, has the date been set yet?”
“Yes, it will be in twenty-seven days, so you have that much time to train, don’t forget, the food is stored over there, the kitchen is easy to use, and if anything happens call me, and I will come in person, or send someone over to help out.
“Alright, thank you”
Said Hans.
“It’s nothing, it helps me too if you grow stronger”
Replied the woman.
“Well then, do your best”
She went outside, and got into the car before leaving the place, leaving Hans inside the facility, stranded from any other human settlement.
He had requested a place like this since he needed absolute peace and silence for his training.
Without wasting any time, he turned the rage and disappointment caused by failing the advancement into motivation to improve his spells.
The deadline was in four weeks, and in that span of time, he intended to advance his fire path to the seventh tier.
Even if he was only a sixth-tier mage, meaning it would’ve been way more difficult, it was still possible thanks to his nature of {true mage}.
The building was mostly composed of a single room, but it had a high ceiling and a wide range of targets to practice with.
The walls were made out of an extremely resistant material, extracted from the corpses of a particularly defensive B-rank monster, just this, not counting the price of the targets, brought the expenses to build the place to a huge amount.
Renting a place like that would also cost a whole lot, and Hans could tell instinctively, but he didn’t care, there was only him and his objective in his mind at that moment.
All worries and all thoughts disappeared, leaving him in a perfect condition to train.
His mind remained clear for the rest of the month, and he managed to surpass the goal he had set for himself, not only reaching the seventh tier in his fire path but also upgrading his barrier to that of a high-ranking mage.
His stat window was confusing, if someone who didn’t know anything about Hans had managed to see it, it would’ve been impossible to determine how many circles he had formed.

An out-of-bounds mage, not only his mana capacity but also his spells far surpass what should be possible to achieve for his rank.

Evaluation: a top (tier-6) mage with power on par with the best seventh-tiers}
With his level being that of a fifth-tier mage, and his spells being similar to those of a seventh-tier one, his whole existence proved nature’s laws wrong.

It was an incredible growth….
A month… just a month.
Achieving in a month what would take others years of constant practice and dedication, there are two ways one could refer to a person who can do this.
Either a genius…
Or a monster.
After a bit of quiet, the world was preparing for an even greater shock than the one received with the revelations after the incident in Japan.
Hans walked out of the metal building, and on his face was an emotionless expression, after exercising for a whole month, right after two months of reading and meditation, he had changed.
“Has something important happened while I was training?”
Asked Hans to the dean while they were in the back of the car, headed somewhere Hans didn’t know yet.
“Do you want to know the situation of the world or just the things regarding you?”
“Up to you, make a mix of what’s important”
….
The dean talked for almost two hours, explaining to Hans everything he missed while he was away.
To sum up the most important things, Aiden had already returned from Japan and said he wanted to go around with his friend Grant and follow his dad on one of his adventures.
The Japanese Academy revealed the truth to the public and fell after all the parents prohibited their children from attending it.
A huge scandal broke out in Chicago, where the NY association leader casually found out the illegal activities of the Asura guild and exposed the truth to everyone.
And to top it all off, the deployment of five of the strongest awakened in the world plus many guilds to clear the first SS-rank gate was issued two months earlier, and in the span of a month, they managed to clear the gate, however, returning were only in four.
After that incident, the whole world had been quiet for a while.
“Hans, we have a lot of observant eyes on us, you mustn’t show a single hint of weakness, understood?”
“Alright”
“And lastly… would it be okay to start right now?”
Asked the dean while the car slowed down.
“Yes, I’ve never been more ready”
“Perfect”
She commented.
The dark window of their car lowered, allowing the reporters outside to see Hans’s face, and chaos broke out in the crowd of people.
“Let’s go” she said.
“The private plane is waiting for us”
