Only Wisdom Awakened - Chapter 200
Chapter 200: The Power Of Magic
Just as he did with the first class, Hans brought the second class to the training grounds.
He made them line up one beside the other, as he stood there in front of them.
Picking one out of the group, Hans talked to one of the four second-circle mages of the class.
“Oliver, did you know anyone who has dropped out of the Academy?”
Even if taken by surprise by the question, the student answered almost immediately, his voice slightly low-toned and saddened:
“Yes, my childhood friend doesn’t come here anymore, he used to attend the potion-creating and Smithy classes, so thinking that his powers wouldn’t be enough to protect himself, his parents forbid him from coming.”
“Mh… but you are still here, aren’t you? It means that there is something you want to achieve here, and you weren’t here just to spend time with your friends”
“That… is right, my mother is the Leader of the Phoenix guild, and when I grow I intend to take over her role, but for that, I need to learn magic”
The Phoenix Guild… It’s the biggest guild in Phoenix City, and even the association Branch does not hold much influence over it.
Since Guild are mostly private Associations, they cannot just pass the guild leader position when they retire, they often search for successors, to whom they can pass not only the position of guild leader but also the inheritance of the guild.
In most cases, these successors are their own sons or daughters.
‘Most people believe it to be so, but now that I have two examples, I am pretty sure awakening isn’t just casual.
Both Benjamin and Claire and the Phoenix guild’s leader and her son, have awakened with rare classes, and even with the same attributes, I guess… Genes play a role in the awakening…
Whatever, now’s not the time to think about that’
“It’s good that you want to shoulder your future responsibilities by training now, however, your life cannot be centered only on that”
The black-haired boy raised his chin to look at Hans while he talked…
He had always been pretty happy having something he could focus on, at least a clear objective to work toward, but the thought of having to live up to everyone’s expectations after the great job her mother did sometimes weighed a bit too much on his shoulders.
“Magic… is not a normal power”
Every student looked at Hans with doubtful eyes, they all already knew magic was anything but normal, so what was their teacher trying to say?
“It can be not only a means to obtain power or money, but also much more.
With magic, you can do whatever you want, you just have to think about it.
For example, Mia, is there something you want to do right now?”
Hans asked.
“I… would like for the humor of the class to be lightened up a bit”
“Well… didn’t I tell you? Magic can do everything”
Hans raised his hand, and with it, the students’ bodies detached from the ground.
“W-what is happening?”
“Hey!”
“W-w-what’s happening to me?!”
Their faces were terrorized and curious at the same time.

Hans was lifting them up gently by using his skill {telekinesis}.
Just like birds, at that moment, the student of the second class felt the wind blowing on their bodies, and the air gently caressing their faces, their bodies dancing in the air controlled by something they did not have to worry about…
In just a few words… they felt free.
A minute or two later, Hans let them back on the ground.
Some of them were still slightly confused, while some, who had been enjoying it to their fullest, had their eyes shining bright towards Hans.
Only Ryan was on the ground, traumatized by the experience…
‘Damn… I overdid it’
Hans felt like throwing up, he had just lifted seventeen people with telekinesis and controlled them simultaneously, his brain was about to fry and his mana reserves had halved.
‘I should think twice about my plan next time I want to show off’
“Oh! What is this? The great Ryan is afraid of heights?!”
Yelled a girl, purposely attracting the attention of her classmates.
“U-uh?! O-of course not!”
Hans smirked hearing this, and decided to intervene:
“Well, since you all liked it, are you ready for round two?”
“Yeah!”
“Hahah, it felt awesome!”
“Do you think this is how birds feel all day?!”
Out of all the students, only Ryan wasn’t smiling.
“I-I need to go to the toilet teach”
“Ok, after this round you can go”
“N-no, it’s it’s really urgent”
“Okay, I’ll make sure to finish it quickly”
“T-teach I can’t hold it anymore, I’ll come back later, don’t worry about me you can continue by yourself!!”
He yelled while running away.
“Pfff- pfhahahaha”
The girl who previously teased him laughed wholeheartedly seeing the guy who always acted tough running from his fear of heights.
And following her, the other students also began laughing.
At that moment, Hans concluded one thing:
‘That mana… was frickig worth it… kekeke’
An evil side of him began emerging as he took pleasure in watching Ryan get what he deserved.
‘Mh? Would that be counted as bullying?
…
….
Nah, I’m sure it falls into the purpose of character strengthening’
“Alright, enough fun, follow me to class”
Hans said since he had no intention of completely emptying her mana just to let them fly a second time.
“Teacher…”
Evelyn, the girl who was always quiet and composed called out Hans for the first time.
“You are cruel”
‘Ugh!…’
“Do you think… I went too hard on him?”
The girl nodded, and Hans began sweating while the sense of responsibility hit him.
‘I-I’m a horrible teacher’
Only one other person was as saddened as him:
Mia was still thinking about a second flight:
‘My… second round… I want to do it again… I want to fly again’
A couple of hours later, Hans finally laid down on his bed, while Ember rested atop his chest.
He caressed the little white beast gently, and in the meantime, he thought:
“What a mess they are… the second class.
Well… they’ve regained a bit of their vigor at least.”
‘Let’s see… I don’t have anything to do today right? If so, I should…
Hans began moving his mana, bringing it toward his heart, where he connected it to the star that lit up the dark power surrounding the muscle.
As soon as the connection was formed, a voice echoed in Hans’s head.
“Hey, has it really only been one day?”
“It has”
Replied Hans.
“How can I trust you?”
Hans took the phone out of his pocket and showed him the date.
“What’s that?”
Caelan asked.
“Oh… I forgot you can’t actually understand what I say or write, you just understand what I mean.
Sigh…
Well, here it’s written the date and it’s been one day, why would I lie to you? Also, what’s with these doubts wouldn’t the mana pact have shown some signs of reaction if I hadn’t summoned you?”
“No, you remember what we agreed upon? The summon is forced only if you’re in a good enough condition to do it.
This means if you had fainted for an entire day then you could’ve skipped one day.”
“Oh, right… Well, I didn’t.
Was the wait too much for you? Do you like my world that much?”
“Don’t ever try to manipulate my words, it was just boring as hell in that place”
“Alright alright….
Wait, how much does one of your days last?”
“Days it’s a measure of time, isn’t it? It lasts equally for everyone”
“No, with days I mean from when the sunrise to sunrise”
“Oh… it’s strange how this works… that world just acquired a new meaning.
Let’s see, from sunrise to sunrise in days it would be less than two-thirds”
“Two-thirds… and in hours?”
“Hours… fifteen and slightly less than a half”
“I see, so your world isn’t just a realm.
You… lived on a planet”
“A planet?”
“Yeah, a sphere”
“No, I lived in a normal world”
“That is a normal world”
“It’s not, you would fall off a world like that”
Hans sighed as he touched his forehead.
‘At what level is his word’s progression in science and physics? Even ancient Greece and Romans knew about the world being a sphere.
The theory of heliocentrism came later but…
Hans explained to Caelan everything he wanted to know about the words they inhabited, and the other, of course was shocked to hear those things.
But the more they talked, the more Hans’s explanations made sense.
“Didn’t you see them while working with the goddess? The planets I mean”
“N-no… I didn’t.
How could it be, for alll this time, we’ve lived on a sphere, and we were afraid of sailing beyond the continent and finding the end of the world…”
“Haaa…”
Hans sighed.
“Hey, can you stop sighing like I’m stupid?! It’s not like you discovered all this by yourself”
Hans stated at the ceiling emotionlessly as he thought:
‘Well… He’s not wrong’
