Only Wisdom Awakened - Chapter 264
Chapter 264: Hurricane
Opening his sticky and heavy eyelids, Hans caught a glimpse of the white blinding ceiling.
He immediately squeezed them once again and raised his arm to defend himself from the light.
It felt surreal, his body barely felt anything, as if all his senses had been numbed…
‘What?! Where am I?…
I was fighting the crimson lady when…’
Hans tried to recall what happened, and Emma’s face appeared in his head.
‘That’s right! Emma… she must’ve saved me…. Otherwise, I would probably be dead’
As Hans got off the bed, the little white towel covering his intimate parts fell to the ground, leaving him naked inside the room.
He watched his surroundings cautiously as he barely opened his eyes.
Something immediately caught his eyes, and a question couldn’t help but arise in his head:
‘But if it was Emma who saved me then… who the hell is this?’
Hans watched the woman in front of him with emotionless eyes….
She was beautiful, without a doubt, one of the most beautiful women Hans had ever seen.
She was just a few meters from him, staring at his body incredulously.
More specifically… well… let’s not talk about that.
She watched him, and he watched her confused, both questioning who the person in front of them was.
Just a few meters from there, behind the one-way mirror, Emma was about to exit the monitoring room when all of a sudden, four beams of light were erected, surrounding her.
Before she could even notice it, she remained trapped inside a little room made out of mana, with less than two cubic meters of space.
Her first instinct was to use most of the momentum she could gather to slash the barrier with her sword, but seeing no changes in it, she immediately noticed…
“Sealed SS-rank artifact… hundred prisons”
She whispered.
No one heard her whisper since the item they had used to block her also prevented any sound from leaking out.
Emma knew well the artifact surrounding her…
The hundred prisons… a barrier-like item used to capture criminals.
No one, even any possible SSS rank, would be able to break that barrier.
More precisely… no one would be able to break those hundreds of barriers…
It had a downtime of almost ninety days to use, but when used, it trapped anyone who stepped on it for a maximum total of five minutes.
Not only that, it was completely presenceless, making it almost impossible for anyone to notice.
The reason why she knew about this artifact so well, and why she never expected such an item to be used against her was….
Because the night market got their hands on it more than three years prior…

‘What is this?! What’s-
She immediately stopped touching the barrier, as she hastily turned around…
There, sitting relaxed just like he did earlier, an old man dressed elegantly was watching as the scene on the other side of the mirror unfolded.
Knowing damn well no one would hear her, Emma yelled so loud that if the barrier wasn’t there, her voice might have cracked the mirror.
“You annoying old man!!!! I swear we’ll have a little chat when I get out of here!!”
Almost as if he could hear her scream, the old man chuckled as he picked up a little cup of coffee.
‘The lady says you’re trustworthy and essential, but I’ll be the judge of that, now let’s see… what you’ll do now’
The old man hoped to catch Hans acting like an animal as he tried to flirt with the woman, or at least embarrass him by letting Emma watch him as he shamelessly tried to cover a boner or something like that
But his plans soon went astray…
Hans was quite confused, he had just woken up in a strange place naked, and a woman was watching him with weird eyes… her blonde hair was unusual due to her skin color being similar to his.
Her golden eyes also seemed to somewhat mirror hans amber colored eyes.
To be brutally honest, just being naked usually would have embarrassed him enough to cause him an erection, but after the reflection he had just had, and with his senses being numbed, he couldn’t care less about the woman in front of him.
Without even talking to her, Hans analyzed the place by touching the ground with his index as he crouched.
The mirror on the side of that room was supposed to bounce off any mana, meaning most analyzing skills wouldn’t have been able to see something beyond it, but with Hans’s tracking and locating spell being somewhat unusual, it wasn’t difficult for him to notice the room behind the mirror and the two people standing behind it.
He immediately glared at the male behind the mirror since he seemed to be the closer one.
Shocked, the old butler slowly got up from his seat and took a couple of steps back…
But Hans’s eyes were tracking him, and the old man managed to confirm that pretty soon.
Without even speaking a word, Hans blew the mirror to smithereens, causing a rain of glass shards to be shot in all directions.
He waved his hand and used repulsion to push those aside, also covering the lady beside him.
“What game are we playing now?”
Hans said calmly as he stared deep into the little cloud of dust his spell had raised.
Soon, the old man emerged from the remnants of the explosion, his body unscathed but some parts of his clothes ripped.
‘For fuck’s sake… the glass was made out of A-rank mana crystals… how the hell did it blow up in just an instant?’
As a nervous smile was painted on the man’s face, those thoughts resounded through his mind.
“Hahaha, don’t worry young man, we aren’t playing anything…”
Trying to mask his nervousness as much as possible, the old man began talking.
“… we are the ones who brought you here to save you, we just happen to have this room in this city, that’s why”
Hans thought his senses were a bit off, but he was right, the humidity and the heat had greatly changed, hinting at the fact that he was probably in another city.
“Where are we?”
He proceeded to ask.
“Mykonos, Greece”
Replied the other truthfully.
“Mh….”
Hans nodded, causing the man to heave a sigh of relief.
“As for you…”
Hans turned around and stared at the woman, who had now snapped out of her daze, and realized that she had been extremely rude when she had first seen Hans.
But even if she was embarrassed, she couldn’t help but wonder… who was the young man standing in front of her?… and what kind of power did he hold, to blow up that mirror without even moving.
“I see”
Hans watched the woman for a few seconds, he analyzed her status window and immediately understood that she had just been employed by Emma to heal him.
“Whatever… this is alright.
But…”
Hans turned around with questioning eyes as he looked at the woman crouched in a corner of the room, she was facing the other side and didn’t dare watch Hans.
“…. What’s up with her?”
Hans said.
Emma obviously didn’t hear him, but she could imagine what they must have been saying.
Trying his best to hold his laugh, the old man replied:
“Oh… you see, my lady… cough-cough-
she’ll get better soon, I don’t know what’s gotten to her”
“Whatever… get me some clothes, and tell Emma I need to talk to her.”
After getting Hans a change of clothes, the old man let him go and tried his best to escape as far as he could before the barrier duration ended, attempting to survive Emma’s wraith.
And after all of that… inside the white room with a broken mirror, the blonde lady was left speechless as her eyes scanned the surroundings.
It was as if a hurricane had passed.
She had healed a boy for three hours straight just to get his earrings, but when it came to it, she didn’t even manage to say a word….
“What the fuck”
The words came out of her mouth without her even thinking about them.
“Sigh….”
Hans was now walking down a pretty desert street.
“So I’m in Greece… I’ve been here when I was a baby, or so I’ve been told, but I don’t remember anything about it”
As he leisurely took a stroll waiting for Emma, he stumbled upon an open bar….
Man he was starving, his stomach’s rumbling was louder than it had ever been, and the occasional cramps made him understand how hungry he was
Many confusing things happened around him…. Why did the crimson lady look like his mother? Why did he wake up in Greece? and what did Emma want to accomplish by bringing him there… but those all seemed of secondary importance when his saliva began covering his tongue.
“I think that first of all… I need some food”
And so, making use of the little stack of bills he had been given with his clothes, Hans entered the bar.
