Only Wisdom Awakened - Chapter 286
Chapter 286: Divine Warrior
Just a few minutes later, as Hans laid his back on his jet’s seat, he gazed out the transparent window.
Just a few stars hung up in the sky, shimmering as they emitted a faint light that was sometimes barely visible to the naked eye.
That was probably the effect of the light pollution on the ground, otherwise, Hans would have found himself underneath a beautiful starry sky.
Then there was the moon, even with the excessive light pollution, it still shone brightly in the sky.
It wasn’t a full moon, instead, it didn’t even reach the halfway point.
‘Was it a crescent moon… no, maybe yesterday it was a half moon… honestly, it’s strange that even with my memory I can’t remember something like that…
They are telling the truth when they say that the most beautiful thing one can observe in nature is always above their heads, even if everyone always takes it for granted.
I like this… watching the moon is… relaxing.’
Hans stared at the white moon as the plane began to move, then, he turned his gaze, and facing forward, he laid the back of his head on the seat’s backrest made out of leather.
Luckily, he had already received authorization from both airports to start his flight towards London.
Before the plane could take off, Hans summoned Caelan as he was unsure whether he would have time to call him out later.
They spent a lot of time talking about the combination of spells Hans had used to get out of the M.A.V.I.
According to Caelan, it was an incredibly risky combination, not only because of the toll it took on one’s body and the mana expenditure but also because of the inability to control it perfectly.
The only situation in which one would use it without the need for precise movements would be for long and medium-distance travel, but in that case, the mana consumption would be too much for one person to handle, and if he instead were to use it to quickly reach a close place, then it would probably take longer than just simply flying there with repulsion and telekinesis, considering the fact that it took quite a bit of time to charge.
In just a few words… it was a spell that had yet to be shaped, like a cannonball without a barrel to guide it, it had lots of potential that had to be brought out by doing a more in-depth analysis and research of the spell.
In just one hour and a few minutes, the plane landed in the UK.
The young man got up from his seat, bid farewell to Caelan, and patted the top of Ember’s head.
He then proceeded to get off the plane as he quickly handled the small talk he usually made with the pilot.
Something else was bothering him at the moment…
Why was it that?… there were three people waiting for him at the bottom of the little flight of stairs.
A woman with dark brown wavy hair and deep green eyes stood about four meters away from the last step and bowed as soon as she saw the young man getting off the plane.
Just behind her, a man who looked no older than thirty with well well-kept blonde hair and a suit and a slightly younger woman with black hair and the same attire bowed together at the same time.
Given the fact that they had already caught a whiff of his plane’s destination and that they had the manpower to send three high-ranking awakened to greet him…
There was only one organization that could do that…
“It’s an honor to meet you in person Mr. Richter, I must say, you’re even more formidable than what the rumors say”
As she said that, the woman’s eyes scanned the young man.
She couldn’t sense a single sliver of mana leaking out of his body, almost as if he were a normal person, the only thing that stood out were his loose clothes which were quite unusual.
Hans stared back at the woman as he checked her and her status window, and he did the same with the two people behind her.
“We are here on behalf of the association”
‘I guessed so’

Hans sighed as he replied:
“Well… what do I owe the pleasure for your visit?”
“Don’t joke with us Mr. Richter, we are here just to greet you, and also to ask if you have anything urgent we can help you with.”
‘I see… not much time has passed, but even If I bound the honorary elders with a mana oath, I couldn’t do the same for all the cameras in that place, the info of me visiting the M.A.V.I. without ever registering my entry must’ve traveled pretty quick, luckily, they won’t know anything about my conflict with the honorary leaders, meaning they probably see me as a dangerous variable and not an enemy, in this case… the only reason why they would send such powerful “assets” to greet me and “aid me” must be…
To understand what purpose I wish to achieve here in London…
Now the big question….’
“Well… what if I told you there’s nothing you can help with”
The woman’s expression remained the same as her tone deepened:
“Then of course…
We would wish you a pleasant stay in our busy but beautiful city and leave.”
The smile she had when she first greeted Hans didn’t fade away, instead, it was stronger than before.
Hans mirrored the same expression as he said:
“I see…”
It was clear… the association had no intention of trying to control him or make an enemy out of him, instead, its sole purpose was to get Hans on their good side.
“Then… of course, I need a little helping hand.
You’re going to be… extremely useful”
As Hans’s smile became more faint, it also made a shiver run down the spine of the three people standing in front of the staircase.
…
‘London huh?… it’s been a while since I’ve last been here.
When I was little, my parents weren’t exactly rich, but they earned enough to take us on many trips, not to mention the fact that both their works required them to travel a lot, so they were used to taking airplanes many times even in a single week.
When I think about it, I can confidently say I was lucky when I was little.
After the incident happened… not to mention trips… I didn’t see anything apart from my bed and my various workplaces.
I must admit tho… this place… is unlike anything I remembered it to be.’
Hans gazed out the black car’s dark-tinted windows, he observed the hundreds of skyscrapers and buildings blocking the sun from reaching the road he was being driven down.
‘It seems like… while countries like America suffered incredible damage all the past years after the catastrophe, some places in other continents like most countries in Europe managed to take the challenge head-on and bounce right back.
Seeing it like this, anyone could tell this is a country that can stand on its own feet.’
Just beside Hans sat the blonde man who didn’t dare glance over, and in front of him was seated the woman who had greeted him first.
Just beside her, the black-haired woman sat in the driver’s seat and was focused on the road.
The tension in the car was high, not a single word came out of anyone’s mouth for almost fifteen minutes, and it wasn’t just due to Hans’s fame or what he had achieved just a few hours earlier.
When the brown-haired woman finally decided to start a conversation, she briefly glanced at Hans seated behind her from the side mirror of the car before opening her mouth to let a few words escape her previously tightly sealed lips.
“So… Mr. Richter…
Correct me if I’m wrong…
Given what you previously said, I have come to the conclusion that your visit here today is due to your interest in meeting the divine warrior.”
Hans’ displeased expression leaked through his face as he glanced back at her through the mirror.
“That is indeed the case, is something wrong?”
Immediately trying to correct herself and avoid being rude, the woman then stuttered as she replied:
“O-of course not, I was just talked by surprise by such a statement, we will do what we can to grant you an audience with him, but we might not be able to satisfy your demands…
He is one of the association leaders after all… not everyone can access his private life after all, even I myself have only seen him once, and it was at a public gathering.”
Hans wasn’t there just to boast, but that was his best lead to quickly approach his first target… he needed the approval of three leaders of the association, and the first one on his list happened to be one of the most active members of the association…
Divine warrior… Arthur Hale.
“I thought I didn’t have to say this but I must remind you…
I am not just anyone”
