Only Wisdom Awakened - Chapter 291
Chapter 291: White Sea
Hans shook Abby’s hand with a smile on his face, in the meantime, he was thinking:
“That’s one thing settled”
It was still not even half past eight, so Hans had a lot of time before he could pay a visit to the divine warrior, and he knew exactly how to spend it.
As soon as everything was settled, Hans handed her a debit card:
“Everything in here can be spent to buy prey or nutrients for Ember, even if they cost an arm and a leg, don’t pay attention to it and buy them.
However… if I discover that you tried to buy anything else…
Well, I’ll leave it to you to figure out what will happen.’
At that moment, Abby was crying inwardly as she lampooned:
“What kind of person have I gotten myself involved with? He speaks like a villain, and he looks like he could rip me apart…
After this deal’s done, I won’t ever accept any other offer…’
Ember was sad, even if the woman she would spend a lot of time with didn’t seem all that bad, she still couldn’t compare to Hans.
The little white snake wrapped herself around Hans and squeezed, that was the most she could do to resemble a hug.
Hans immediately understood the snake’s intention and caressed her body, he couldn’t hug her simply because she was too slim and she was already wrapped around his body.
“I won’t take long after I’m done with what I need to do, I’ll come to pick you up, and then, after one last sprint, we will both finally be able to do what we want…
This I promise you.”
Hans looked at the white reptile in her eyes as he let her down on a little desk.
“Be a good snake while I’m gone, and remember that whatever that woman’s doing is probably to help you grow, don’t hold it against her.”
The little white animal nodded, and Hans finally felt a bit of relief.
As he passed by Abby, he stopped for a second as he whispered into her ear:
“Also, I forgot to say this, but if anything were to happen to her, I would immediately be made aware of it, and I would fly here as soon as I can…
Don’t bother guessing what would happen to you.”
Hans finally left the building, and the woman could finally gulp down a bit of saliva that she had been holding in her mouth for the past minute…
‘See Abby… real scary, I knew I shouldn’t have taken this mission-‘
As she thought badly about Hans, she suddenly remembered the offer he had made.
‘Actually… he’s not the worst… yes, I think I can work with him’
Hans got out of the shop, walked about a hundred meters, and then turned left into a little dark alley.
After using his stealth and telekinesis, he took off, flying high into the sky before pulling his phone out of his pocket.
For a moment, he was stunned as he stared at the empty search bar on the browser…
“How can it be… my memory’s good but I can’t remember their name….”
Hans wanted to search for the guild that had tried to force him into joining, he knew they were from London but he couldn’t remember their names…

‘Was it blue waves? Or ocean blu… or something along those lines?
If I can, I want to say that the name sucks, a three-year-old child could probably come up with a better name for a guild…. Still, I guess it’s necessary to make them look like heroes in the eyes of the civilians…’
Hans searched “perfect mage” knowing he would find her respective guild.
‘Perfect mage my foot’
Hans thought, remembering how she was helpless when faced with only his telekinesis.
Sure thing, everything he wanted to know popped up on the screen:
[Freya Langdon, guild master of the ‘White Sea’ guild.
Title: Perfect Mage.
Global Ranking: top 100
Mage ranking: top 10]
“The list… it’s been a while since I checked it, but it is indeed useful when it comes to things like these”
Other than her info, just below her name and ranking, a long description of her life and personality was written, but Hans felt no need to read through it.
He searched for the ‘White Sea’ guild and then found their headquarters, finally, he let maps lead him to the place as he flew towards it.
Just a few minutes later, the beautiful building of the headquarters of the white sea guild entered Hans’s field of view.
It was a little bit towards the outskirts of London, but that was for a good reason…
The place was huge.
Instead of spanning in height, it did so in size, covering various thousands of cubic meters.
The whole building was covered by clear metal that took the shape of huge waves.
When seen from above and from afar, it did indeed resemble a white sea.
“They sure don’t lack money I’ll give them that, but I don’t think I would want to join a guild, even if I ever manage to kill the abyssal snake.
Hans landed in the vicinity of the building and took a stroll before reaching the main entrance.
The place wasn’t in the middle of London but the expression on the people’s faces and the tidiness of the streets wasn’t bad.
When he had visited London for the first time, he remembered the place being pretty polluted, but that did not seem to be the case anymore.
It could most certainly not be called a zone with a poor quality of life.
Hans was about to cross one last wide street that separated him from the guild’s headquarters when he suddenly thought about something.
With a slight smile on his face, he remembered his last interaction with the white sea guild’s leader.
He remembered how he grabbed her head with telekinesis and called her an old lady before telling her to go play guild with someone else, and at that moment, the thought crossed his mind that he might not be so welcomed inside there…
Entering her guild’s building with his mana almost depleted was definitely not the best choice he could make, so he decided to take a break and meditate for a bit before going in.
He flew up and landed on a nearby building with at least a dozen floors before putting a barrier and a sound barrier around him, which gave him enough peace of mind to close his eyes and meditate in absolute tranquility.
More than three hours passed since Hans didn’t dare enter that place without at least half of his mana, after all, he didn’t want to ridicule himself or get jumped without having any means to retaliate inside there.
Finally, he jumped down the building, slowed down his fall, and then proceeded to enter the white sea’s headquarters.
There were quite a lot of people walking in and out of the building, and as soon as he set foot inside, he was greeted with a great expo area, It was almost like a museum.
The beautiful white sea roof was more than twenty meters above the ground, so the place was really spacious.
He looked around, after all, his curiosity had brought him there, nothing else.
He strolled and saw many items being exposed as countless people grouped up in front of various display cases.
There were some pretty neat weapons stored away, and even some rare materials dropped from famous world-level raids, there was even an empty display case with just a photo in it, it was the photo of the golden dragon raid.
Since the only scales were currently on Hans’s earrings, that made it impossible for the white sea guild to have anything to show about that raid.
As soon as he was done looking around, Hans walked up to the reception center, where he asked for directions to the ‘guild part’ of the building.
Even only seeing the museum had already cleared a little bit of the image of the guild in his mind, maybe it was just the guild leader who was an annoying bastard.
After all, all the materials exposed to the public were worth a lot, and making the entry free made it possible for all the fanatics of the awakened world to observe them up close without having to burden their financial situations just for their money to end up in the pockets of the already rich awakened.
As soon as he was given the needed information, he immediately headed towards the middle of the structure, in which the ‘real’ headquarters of the guild resided.
Hans crossed a wide automatic door and reached his destination.
There, the air was heated, shielding the workers and the guild members from the cold that covered the entire city.
Before he could even figure out somewhere to take as his destination, a voice reached out to Hans:
“Hans Richter…
I kindly ask you to leave”
