Only Wisdom Awakened - Chapter 76
Chapter 76: First day
“You-your affinity extends in all directions, but most of your talent lies within the light and dark elements.” Said Hans, surprised.
“Woo~w” the class reacted to this information pretty quickly.
‘How could it be? I only have affinity with the nature, grass and water attributes but she has access to all of them? Who the hell is she?’
These were Ryan thoughts, and even the immovable Evelyn was quite shocked.
‘This is.. impossible, my mother taught me this, a human body doesn’t allow that many energies to fuse with it, so it would just explode even if forcefully infused with them, not to talk about being born like this, it’s just not something that can happen.
Could this teacher be a fraud? No, he was able to tell which spells I mastered only by observing my mana, he should be a high ranking mage, maybe even only a bit weaker than mom.
Then.. is he, just saying this to make her feel good even while it’s not true?
But why would he do that.
Could it be.. she has a powerful backing and he doesn’t want to offend her?’
While she was thinking about all that, a more impulsive youth was already at the limits of his tolerance.
“Stop with this! Who do you think you are?
I certainly heard about you, Hans, the genius mage whose circles got destroyed.
Do you really think you’re that much? You’re not even able to use magic and you’re here to teach us?!
Ha! Don’t make me laugh.
And what do you think you are doing? Telling her she has affinity with all elements, you are just blinding her from the cold truth.”
That’s right, it all seemed like nonsense, this person wasn’t even a mage anymore, yet he claimed he was able to analyse the students’ elemental affinity without any machinery, something never heard of before.
And now, he told one of the students that was already famous for being from a poor family and a rural area that she had affinity with all elements.
She had no training and strength whatsoever, and she was already isolated, since everyone thought she wouldn’t be able to last more than three months.
Hans sighed , but before he could say anything, the bell rang.
‘He’s just a kid, I won’t smash his head in the wall’
Hans walked out of the classroom, without replying to the provocation.
“That’s what I thought”
Said the kid smirking.
‘Maybe, just maybe, the association will forgive me if a student returns home without his head!
he doesn’t use it anyway right?’
As his little sliver of reasoning held him back from returning into the room and committing a crime, a woman called him out.
“It’s a pleasure to meet you, you’re Hans right? I’m Nora Hayes, the civic education teacher”
She smiled and proposed a handshake, that was warmly welcomed by Hans.
“It’s a pleasure to meet you, I’m Hans Richter, the magic teacher”
“Would you mind coming to lunch with me?” She asked, and Hans replied to her saying he would definitely appreciate it.

He actually already had plans to go and eat a pizza alone, but for the sake of avoiding being alone for the next year, he decided to try to get accustomed with her.
Since it was just their first meeting, and they both had classes in the afternoon, they decided to have lunch in the school cafeteria.
The food there was also free, but strangely, the place was empty.
Of course, now that they were given enough money to afford it, the students decided to eat out.
Some groups went to the Pizza Hut, some to the Sushi Restaurant, and some got a simple Kebab.
They were left alone in the huge room, with the cook right behind the counter just watching them.
That being embarrassed and seeing that no one else was coming, just went into the kitchen, leaving Hans and Nora alone.
She had a pretty face, and her hairs were brownish, her smile was warm, the way she moved was elegant and simple at the same time.
If it wasn’t that Hans wasn’t really interested in women right now, he might’ve given it a shot.
Unfortunately for him, while talking, he discovered she was five years older than him.
“Cough-cough” he almost choked on his drink when hearing this.
A five year difference was quite a lot considering that he was still eighteen.
“So, how was the first lesson? Did you get the first or the second class during the morning?”
“I had to teach the second class, I’ll face the first class in about an hour” said Hans watching his wrist to check the time.
“I had the first class, they’re all so annoying and bored, no enthusiasm whatsoever, I cont wait to meet the second class, I’ve always been good with kids.
How are they? They must be super cute right?”
Her way of talking changed while talking, switching arguments from the first class to the second.
‘This girl, does she think fourteen years olds are kids? She’ll be super disappointed when she finds out how they really are’
Though Hans, picturing in his mind her being laughed on and made fun of.
“Not really, they all have some fiery personality, especially a fourteen years old boy with blonde hair, he’s called Ryan, and he’s really not educated enough”
He said quite angrily.
The woman chuckled, seeing the serious Hans so worked up, and she added:
“But you still remember him so well? He must’ve left a really strong impression”
..
The lunchtime quickly shortened, and they both had to say goodbye to each other before parting ways.
Hans reached the classroom ten minutes before the start of the lecture, and he sat on the teacher’s desk.
While patiently waiting for the students to arrive, he decided to meditate.
As he had his eyes closed, various presences approached the room, their levels weren’t bad.
Most of the students seemed to be at their 1, and there were even a few at tier two, amongst the thirty of them, three stood out the most, having a different mana compared to normal tier-2s.
All of them entered the room,
Where Hans was already staring at the door a couple of seconds before it opened.
When seeing their teacher, they all stayed silent and got to their seats.
Once they were all in their places, Hans didn’t even have the time to open his mouth when the already closed door was slammed open by another young man.
Even while being a student, the boy’s body was huge, being well built and even taller than Hans.
The time Hans saw him, he knew that he had made an error, there weren’t three students above the other’s level, but four.
And when the student saw a guy of his age playing teacher, he decided to give him a ‘good time’.
Even while being completely sober and aware of who was standing in front of him, he decided to play a little trick, purposely mistaking him for one of his fellow students.
He chuckled a bit before walking up to Hans, and getting his arm around his shoulder, holding him like you would do with a friend or a brother.
“Hey bro, what are you doing up here, come sit down with the class while the teacher still isn’t here, otherwise he might really beat you up.
Hans could stand being insulted by a kid who knew nothing about how things worked in the world, but being humiliated publicly by a student one year younger than him, that wasn’t something acceptable.
Some of the students laughed at the scene, but of the three most talented, none opened mouth nor showed signs of enjoyment.
Hans still tried to avoid injuring the student, so he asked once politely.
“Get your hand off my shoulder”
“Ahh?! bro, why are you ruining the fun, I’m serious now, get down before I beat you up in place of the professor”
‘Three breaths’
“Hehehe”
‘Two’
“Hey bro! I’m not joking”
the student’s expression became serious.
‘one’
“Get down now, before I decide to kick your b-”
‘you are…’
‘Dead!’
{lighten}, Hans cast this spell on the student, before using half of the strength in his body, aided by the spell {wind blast} to quickly push the guy away with his left arm.
The student was suddenly sent flying.
He was thrown past the door, and his body slammed against the wall outside the classroom.
The concrete wall was cracked, before the student fell on the floor, his eyes devoid of pupils.
Unconscious, the student attracted the attention of all his classmates.
“I told you..”
“‘..To get your hand off my shoulder”
None of the people in the room were able to see his movements, because even if he couldn’t use aura since the dispersed mana in his body would have clashed with it, his raw stats remained.
Just those were strong enough to rival a C-rank awakened, meaning he was still two tiers above these tier-2 rookies.
