Only Wisdom Awakened - Chapter 87
Chapter 87: Caleb’s fight
“So?” Asked Caleb, “what are we going to do now?
Is there a need for both of us here? Or should I just go and help out in the academy?”
Before Hans could answer, someone else replied to the question.
“There won’t be any need for that, how about you die right here” said the voice.
Another man appeared, and used the speed he had already accumulated while running there to charge against Caleb.
He pushed him away violently, not only almost fracturing some of Caleb’s bones, but also destroying part of the forest.
“Cough.. cough” the well dressed muscular teacher was now lying with his back on a tree.
He got up, and watched the person who had just launched a sneak attack at him right in the eyes.
It was a tall and build man.
He didn’t wear any kind of shirt, leaving his black skin exposed to the moonlight.
“So it’s you! Caleb Harris, pretty disappointing if I must say, to think I had to come here just because of someone like you”
The provoked Caleb wasted no time, as his muscles contracted, ripping his white shirt to shreds.
He screamed:
“Hans, take care of the sutuation over there, I’ll focus on destroying this mutated gorilla over here”
After a bit of hesitation, Hans’ reply came back: “alright, good luck”
..
“Hey, stupid monkey, did you just call me a gorilla?”
“And what if I did?
Come here if you have the balls to battle it out.
you talking gorilla”
“Don’t regret saying this later on!”
“I won’t!”
They rushed one into each other, and as their fist clashed, the forest trembled.
The sound of the battle resounded in the distance, as hans focused on protecting the students, scanning the surrounding with his mana.
Among the youngsters, fear spread like wildfire.
The chatter begun, and they all talked about the situation.
The poor student that had been hung by the neck, was now resting, comforted by his classmates.
In the meantime, Hans was caught up in another dilemma, trying to guess who would win between the two men.
That guy… he was really strong.

The battle continued, and Caleb was currently overwhelmed by the opponent’s fast attacks, he took on the fists with his {defensive stance} and reduced the damages as much as possible .
It was not the time to act yet.
The opponent was already rejoicing his victory.
‘Haha, they call you a monster just because they can’t get through you, not because they are afraid of you, based on how little you move, the title of iron mountain really fits you perfectly!
I have to admit it though, the fact that even after almost ten minutes of taking my punches he can still stand, means that if he was fighting with supporters in a party he would almost be invincible, luckily this fool separated himself from everyone else, or he could’ve cause a bit of trouble’
However, the man had completely misunderstood the meaning of Caleb’s title.
{iron mountain} it wasn’t given to him because he had an unshakable defence, but because just like a mountain…
He could crash the opponents.
Both of Caleb’s hands closed in a punch descending upon Lucas, that was crashed to the ground.
He managed to get away fast, or else, if he had let Caleb finish his attack, he would’ve probably been killed.
‘F*cling h*ll” thought the man.
‘Whose f*cking body can cause the same effect of a damn plane crash’
‘He’s nuts!’
“What now? You runnin away? Disgusting rat!”
“Take that back you sh*thead!”
The man once again dashed forward, but as approaching he saw the smile on Caleb’s lips, he realized he had fallen for a stupid provocation.
Not in time to stop anymore, he covered his body with both his hands to protect it from the incoming attack.
Caleb swung his hands, grabbed one to another, creating the same effect as a sledgehammer.
Fifty five hundred kilograms of force violently knocked away the man, flattening part of the forest in the meantime.
The gravely injured man, unable to even stand up, used all the strength left in his arms to turn his body around.
With his face covered by the moonlight, he took out a red object from his pocket, measuring about the same as a candy.
His whispers flew away with the wind, as his voice was too low for anyone to hear.
“Oh, well, it doesn’t matter how much I grow, I’m bound to lose if I don’t use this, ain’t I?”
He shoved it in his throat, and closed his eyes, bracing himself for the upcoming pain.
His skin started twisting, as the veins on his body became more visible and wide.
His body took on a reddish colour, and his pupils were nowhere to be seen.
The mindless body immediately attacked Logan, that was also catching a bit of breath.
From being in an absolute disadvantage, the man had become even more domineering than before.
Every single one of his punches made Caleb’s organ clash, bones scream, and mind suffer.
But his undying determination remained:
‘I won’t… lose, these muscles that have been created through sheer effort won’t let me down, I’m sure that my body will drag me to victory, I just have to endure it until this strange state of his ends and I’ll win, I just …have to…
From Hans’ field of view, something was quickly approaching from far away.
It fell from the sky right before Hans’s eyes, and landed in front of all the students.
It was Caleb’s body.
The student that couldn’t help but see the scene, remained traumatized.
“Teacher?!” Screamed one.
One of them even walked up to him and shook him a bit, begging: “please, please wake up”
And others were whining:
“Teacher is dead”
“Are we all going to die?”
“Should we just take our own life”
Even the prayers imploring god to let them see their families again weren’t left unspoken.
But even between all that loud and confusing chaos, Hans was focused solely on one thing.
His gaze followed something far away, quickly closing in on them.
‘Three hundred metres , two hundred meters, a hundred meters, fifty… forty… twenty..
he’s here.’
The terrified students watched the man, the courage to even slightly move was lacking.
Not only was the man’d body inhumane, but it also emanated an incredibly suffocating aura.
Every step he took stole away part of the youngsters breaths.
For most of them, it was the first time in their life feeling True Fear.
Only one managed to move, he was a blonde guy from the warrior class.
He still couldn’t even think about escaping nor attacking, but his breathing system was at least still working fine.
‘This aura… is it the same as ‘his’?
If they’re at the same level, then I guess we’ll all die here, nothing can be done anymore.
Fuck… to think I’d die such a worthless death, stranded in the woods, not even able to come back, to think that I won’t ever be able to surpass him…
I have always told myself that I wasn’t afraid of leaving this world.
However, now that death is right in front of me, now that I can almost feel it with the palm of my hand.
I am too afraid to accept it.
I am hoping with all my heart, that someone will come to rescue us, but who could ever do that?
The dean is currently away, the strongest teacher has just been defeated, and I….
Am scared.
His deep thoughts were devalued by the few words told by someone just beside him.
Hans sighed in relief:
“Haaa, thank god you’re still not a mid S-rank.
If you’re just at this level… then I guess I’ll let myself loose for the first time in a while”
