Only Wisdom Awakened - Chapter 89
Chapter 89: Emergency
“Huff, finally got rid of him, I guess that the fact that no one saw me use three elements at once is really good, I could use this surprise attack once again.
Anyway, what the hell did these guys want? even the people they sent were powerful, in a normal situation, an S-rank would be really famous and renowned, but I’ve never heard about someone like him in America.
Also, the association they are part of should be the Red Tyranny, considering the unpleasant rumors that have been going around about the Asura guild.
Even if it’s not the Red Tyranny, then it must be an equally big and powerful Association.
Have they come here for a specific reason? Or are they here to kill the students and instill panic?
Well, I guess that’s not something for me to handl…
Wait, thinking about it, I did say that if he didn’t take his life I would’ve wiped his whole association out, damn, do I have to keep my word? He’s dead anyway so no one would have heard me.
No! There was actually one kid that managed to remain awake till then…
was it him?”
Hans watched down on a blonde student of the warrior class.
“Well, he sure is impressive, I guess I’m not the only one that is blessed by great students”
‘Students? Oh… that could work’
Hans had finally figured out how he would’ve retired after defeating the abyssal snake, but while still maintaining his honor as a human, without being like Elijah.
If millions of people had to die just because of his laziness, he would’ve become just like the one he hated, but he also couldn’t be responsible for everyone’s lives.
He would teach ten people, they would become the strongest out of all the awakened, and stabilize the word.
However… there was one problem… how could he ever teach someone to the level of the strongest of the world when he wasn’t even there himself?
“I guess I’ll have to postpone this plan a bit, how about I take out the abyssal snake before thinking of taking apprentices?
Seems like the best option right now”
‘Anyway… do I have to carry them all myself?’
He watched the carpet of fainted people, and sighed before getting to work.
He used wind magic to transport them all of them back to the facility.
Some of the buildings were on fire, but the attack seemed to have ceased, probably because of the lack of some of their best fighters, they couldn’t keep up with the various professors and guardians in the place.
Los Angeles…
An urgent matter was shouted by an assistant, that rushed inside the branch leader’s office.
“Leader!! The academy is under attack!”
The composed woman quickly got up from her chair, holding her weight up with her hands on the desk.
“Who dares?!”
“We don’t know, there are many powerful awakened not registered in our database, and…
There are also reports of an S-class”
“Fuck”

‘We have invested most of our resources in this project, and if it fails the fault will be mine to take, also, what in the world do they want? To be going after some kids.
I’ll make you f*cking pay, and the interest rate wont be little’
“Come with me! We are going there, Now!”
She ordered the secretary, that followed her:
“Yes!”
They got onto a black car, and the leader sat on the back seat.
“How long is it going to take to get there?”
She asked the assistant.
“About forty minutes” replied the girl.
“Take me there in twenty”
“Y-yes madam”
Their car sped up through the others, driving way over the road limit.
A fine, or even getting the driving license of her assistant confiscated, it meant nothing compared to losing the academy.
“Faster!”
She asked, stressing out, unable to keep her mind away from the thought of losing this whole project.
A little bit over fifteen minutes later, she arrived at the site.
The building was on fire, but the attack seemed to have subsided.
She immediately questioned the situation as soon as she met Jackson Taylor, one of the most renowned teachers, that took the role of teaching the students fighting tactics.
“What is the current state of the academy?”
He bowed his head slightly before starting to explain:
“The attack has ceased, as many of them had been killed and their leader has run off to somewhere.”
“The damages?” She asked, already bracing her head for the news.
“This..” he sighed…
“Four professors have lost their lives, and two of them are badly injured, seven sustained slight injuries.
As for the students… they’re all fine”
A smile appeared on the woman’s lips,
“If you’ve managed to keep all the students alive, then it seems like I’ve chosen the right people for this job.”
Her smile mesmerized most of the bystanders, but the man in front of her didn’t care much.
“Who where those who lost their lives?”
“Amy, the dagger skills teacher, Hans, the magic teacher and…
Before hearing the last two you might want to seat down madam” recommended the man.
“No, it’s okay continue”
“Then… Scarlet Evans, the archery teacher..
Just hearing her name made the dean’s thoughts hurt, that woman was a mid A-rank archer, but she had just died to some unknown attackers.
..and Caleb Harris”
As soon as she heard this name the leader exploded.
“What?!
Caleb?!
Are you sure of it? That’s impossible, did a mid rank S awakened show up? Did you see his corpse, how did he die?!”
The woman had fought against him herself a couple of months ago, and he had already passed the threshold of an S-rank.
“Answer me!”
The man looked down, afraid of the person in front of him.
“During the fight we were being overwhelmed by them, but we managed to win because their leader suddenly disappeared.
For the whole duration of the fight, loud crashing noises came from the forest in the vicinity of the academy, we suspect it’s probable for them to have come here just to kill him, and judging by the fact that the sound of fighting can’t be heard by almost ten minutes, and he hasn’t come back, we are guessing that he must have perished in battle.
Not only him, also the magic teacher, Hans Richter is missing, and both their classes aren’t currently inside the academy.
Other than that, some of the second class students have also gone outside.
“Didn’t you say that all students were safe?”
“They are! The watch that has been given to them is proof of that”
“That’s right, the watches”
“Then, do you know where they are?”
“Mh, apparently they are in the direction where the battle had taken place, we are delaying the rescue because we think it might be a trap, and if it is, then they definetly won’t kill the students, while if it isn’t, they’ll just be able to walk back here by themselves.
A man came sprinting with a tablet in his hands.
“Mr. Jackson! dean! we have important news!
The students.. they are moving”
“What do you mean moving? Where are they going?” immediately asked the man screaming.
“Here! They’re coming here, but their blood pressure and breathing suggests that they are still asleep, meaning that someone is carrying them here, I don’t want to say this but I’m afraid that…
“I understand. Thank you for your work.
one last thing, could you please tell me exactly where they are right now.”
“Yes!”
Him and the current dean of the academy prepared to face the worst:
a negotiation where the lives of the students would’ve been used against them as bargain chips.
In between the academy and the forest was a little plain. They both waited there, standing still without moving.
When in between the trees of the forest, someone caused a sound, they got alerted.
Bringing their hands on their weapons.
Under the lightless night sky, nothing could be seen more than a couple meters ahead one’s eye, so they couldn’t do anything but wait since the lives of the students were at stake.
One after the others, the students’ bodies started emerging from the shadows, entering the field of view of the two awakeneds.
When most of the flying bodies had been moved forward, the figure was simply leisurely taking its time to come forward.
But contrary to what they expected, he wasn’t a powerful warrior, nor a dangerous terrorist, he was simply… Hans.
He was yawning loudly, covering his mouth with one of his hands.
While walking past the two people in front of him, he gently let the bodies down from his wind spell and just straight up almost ignored them.
“Yaawn
I’m going to sleep, take care of things here, you can at least do that right!”
Said Hans, before speaking to himself once again:
“So tired man!
I wish there was a spell to wash up so I wouldn’t have to wait before sleeping.
Oh well, I guess that’s better, the fact that it doesn’t exist, means that I’ll just be able to create it.
The two people’s faces became petrified by
The shock, and they both in unison thought:
“What… is going on here?”
