Chapter 1089: PENNY HAD EVIL PLANS! THIS TIME, THEY WERE SURE OF IT!
Hard work pays off, and that is true. After a hell of a week of nonstop working, the day Penny and Zoren had been waiting for finally arrived.

A well-deserved vacation!

“All done!” Penny announced proudly, gazing at the countless pieces of luggage she had packed. “I’ve been packing all night — gah! I feel exhausted.”

Yet, her face brightened despite the fatigue.

Several days ago, Zoren had suddenly suggested having a vacation — just the two of them. Thinking about it, Penny realized that she and Zoren hadn’t had the time to truly relax. They had had days off where they would idle and cuddle, or visit their families, but a vacation… a vacation…

“Honeymoon,” she murmured, her cheeks turning red. “A honeymoon we never had!”

Her nose flared with excitement as she imagined herself and her husband enjoying life on an island. They could do whatever they wanted. Though they could always do that together, the added “vacation” just made it feel ten times more special — more romantic, more exciting, and, well… more sexy.

Above all, she and Zoren wouldn’t have to think much about their respective companies. They had worked hard for this vacation. So, in a way, they could shun the world for the time being and focus on each other.

“Hehehe…” she giggled, thinking of all the naughty things she could imagine. “He’s been getting better and better, like a newborn. This is going to be fun.”

With that thought in mind, Penny quickly jumped into the shower since they had a plane to catch.

Half an hour later…

“Wow… this is a lot of luggage for a five-day vacation.”

“How many did she bring? Twenty?”

“Sir Mark, are you sure they’re only away for five days?”

“Why are you people complaining? Miss Penny isn’t the only one leaving. Sir Mark and Sir Zoren will be with them. Not to mention, Renny and Chunchun will be with them. So, this isn’t just for her.”

Mark glanced at the bodyguards, who had volunteered to load Penny’s luggage but hadn’t expected so much. “No. This luggage alone is for Miss Penny.”

“What?!” they gasped in unison, now noticing the duffel bag beside Mark. “This is only for her?!”

“Miss Penny is a woman. She brought everything she could use and wear for any occasion or weather. She’s a woman who is always prepared. That’s why she’s the madam,” Mark replied solemnly. “Don’t complain anymore and just be grateful to have such a reliable boss.”

The bodyguards, who were loading the luggage, exchanged looks with mixed emotions. In the end, they could only load the luggage. They didn’t plan to complain until one of them had to carry the biggest suitcase and found they couldn’t lift it.

“Huh? What the — what’s in here?” the bodyguard gasped, looking at the black suitcase in disbelief. “How come it’s so heavy?”

“Heavy? Dude, you’re overreacting. There’s no way — eh?!” The other bodyguard who came to help was just as stunned. “What the — did she bring her entire office here? Or is it a body?”

The other bodyguards looked at each other and came forward to try carrying the suitcase. It took five people to load it. When they finished, all of them were panting in disbelief.

“She has too much luggage,” one of them muttered under his breath, looking at the back of the van that was filled with Penny’s bags. “I’m getting worried.”

“Sir Mark, are you sure Miss Penny plans to bring home the master in five days?!” Another one of them panicked, looking at Mark. “Should we pack our things as well?!”

“She’s not thinking of abducting the master, is she?!”

“Sir Mark, please don’t take your eyes off of them! They might elope!”

“Miss Penny is kind, but she’s evil with a heart — we all know that!”

Mark could only sigh in defeat as these bodyguards were a combined force of Penny and Zoren’s personal security. They were being too comfortable with each other.

“Sir Mark—”

“What are you guys talking about so loudly this early in the morning?” Suddenly, silence fell outside the residence as Penny’s voice echoed. She arched a brow and tilted her head to the side. “Huh? Why did you suddenly turn quiet?”

Everyone turned their heads toward her, their necks twisting like rusty screws. Their mouths stretched into nervous grins, followed by awkward laughter and cheers.

“Nothing, Miss Penny! We’re just talking about how exciting it must be for you and Master to have this vacation!”

“Right! Right! Everyone is just happy for both of you!”

“If only we could do something so you could stay there longer! Five days isn’t enough, considering how hard you’ve been working!”

“Haha! Miss Penny, don’t worry about the stuff here and just enjoy your vacation!”

“Miss Penny, are you sure this is all you’re bringing? It feels like it might not be enough!”

“You guys…” Penny’s eyes softened, moved by their encouragement. “This is what you get when you’re a good boss, for sure.”

Meanwhile, Mark just stood there, watching the situation unfold. Another sigh escaped him as he shook his head. Just moments ago, all these bodyguards had been worried Penny would abduct her husband and not bring him back. But now, they were all cheering for her and even encouraging her to take a longer vacation.

‘I wonder… should I tell the truth, or… just accept this as what happens when one’s boss is full of craziness?’ But in the end, Mark said nothing because everyone was happy. Not that this was something he should report, knowing these guys might complain, but they were not necessarily upset with their bosses.

“Penny.” Just then, the song of praises being sung outside halted when Zoren’s soft voice was heard.

Everyone intuitively turned toward the front door to see Zoren smiling subtly. But that look on his face, or the casual attire he was wearing, wasn’t what caught everyone’s attention. It was the small carry-on he was holding at his side.

“Renren~!” Penny skipped toward him, her eyes twinkling as she looked at her beautiful husband in a simple white fitted polo shirt, beige trousers, and sunglasses.

Zoren’s smile stretched. “Are you ready?”

“Mhm!” she nodded. “More than ready~!”

“Let’s go,” he said, but as they made their way down the steps, the bodyguard hurried to help him with his carry-on.

“Uh, Master…” the bodyguard cleared his throat and asked, “Where’s the rest of your luggage? We’ll get it now for you.”

Zoren tilted his head to the side. “This is all.”

“That is all…?” All the bodyguards slowly gazed at the little carry-on luggage, then back at him. “That’s all?”

“Mhm. It’s only a five-day trip,” he said innocently. “Did I bring too much?”

“…” Everyone was rendered speechless, even Penny. They all gazed at the overloaded trunk and then Zoren’s single bag. No one needed to say anything because whatever they wanted to say was obvious.
