Chapter 1208: Hijacked
One of the things that had changed in both sober and drunk Penny was that she remembered her actions regardless of her state. So, when Penny passed out, she came around just as quickly as before. However, she didn’t open her eyes—she played dead.
Sober Penny drank because she thought it was only right to deal with Atlas with raw anger. Drunk Penny, however, wasn’t so sure that was a good idea.
Arching a brow, Penny narrowed her eyes and stretched her neck slightly. When she did, she caught sight of Atlas napping in the aisle seat. The corner of her mouth hooked up before she peeked at her side, where Zoren was sleeping soundlessly.
Pulling down her blanket, Penny carefully slipped away without making any big movements. She didn’t want to wake her husband. Once she had put a safe distance between herself and Zoren, she sat up quietly. Placing her feet down as carefully as possible, she avoided making even the slightest sound as she walked away.
Standing in the aisle, Penny glanced down at Atlas. Arching a brow, she turned her gaze toward another seat, where Hugo was also napping. Spotting a can of beer placed nearby, she nodded in satisfaction. Her lips stretched into a grin before she set her attention back on Atlas.
“You want to know the truth?” she whispered, poking his cheek until he stirred awake.
The moment Atlas regained consciousness and saw Penny gazing down at him, his brows furrowed. “Pen—” The rest of his words were swallowed as she suddenly covered his mouth. Her palm pressed against his lips, fingers stretching to his jaw.
Her grip was aggressive enough that he could feel the sting of his inner lip splitting slightly.
“Shh,” she hushed, bending over until her face was only a palm’s length away from his. “Hush, honey. We don’t want to wake up my husband and the Sluagh, do we?”
If someone else overheard this, they might have completely misunderstood the situation. But for Atlas, a sense of dread crept up his spine. This felt like the devil whispering in his ear, warning him not to make a sound if he wanted to live.
Penny smiled at him. “You don’t have to get hurt,” she murmured. “Come with me and don’t make a sound. Otherwise, I’ll hit you.”
Atlas, with her hand still over his mouth, nodded. He blinked twice, hoping she would understand that he was signaling his cooperation.
“Get up,” she whispered, slowly peeling her hand away. But the moment she did, she saw him opening his mouth. Without hesitation, she shoved her hand back over his lips, pressing her fingertips against his cheek.
“You want to die?”
Atlas shook his head, his teeth clenching as she pressed her foot against his. ‘Penny, stop…’
“Try that again, and I’ll make sure your balls ache for the rest of this flight,” she warned, tilting her head like an abductor taunting their hostage.
This time, Atlas kept his teeth clenched and nodded in defeat.
As Penny slowly removed her hand again, Atlas studied her face. He had caught a whiff of her breath earlier—there was no doubt she was drunk.
‘Oh, god…’ he mentally sighed. ‘What is she up to now?’
She wouldn’t strip him and lock him in a cage again… would she?!
Satisfied that Atlas wasn’t resisting, Penny crooked a finger at him. “Get up.”
Just as she said this, a grunting noise came from Hugo’s side. Both she and Atlas turned toward him, Atlas silently hoping Hugo would open his eyes.
Hugo was a soldier—shouldn’t he be sleeping with one eye open?!
Sadly, Hugo felt safe enough to sleep soundly, ignoring the little noises around him.
Penny smirked, looking back at Atlas. “Sorry. I don’t think he’ll wake up, considering we’re in a private craft with a cabin crew who do regular checks.”
Atlas pressed his lips into a thin line, about to speak—until Penny placed a finger against them.
“Shh. Talk later,” she whispered, her voice barely audible between them. “I don’t trust that you won’t say something. And I swear, if you make a sound—deliberate or not—I’ll throw you out first. Oh, and just in case you didn’t know, I’ve been poking needles into the parachutes you and Second Brother brought with you.”
Atlas held his breath. This really was like being held hostage.
“Now, let’s go,” she urged, tilting her head in a direction. “After you.”
Atlas stared at her for a moment before turning and walking where she instructed. Penny stayed close behind, her eyes fixed ahead. Once they stepped out of the section where Hugo and Zoren were sleeping, Atlas finally spoke.

“Where are you taking me?”
“You’ll find out,” she replied. “Just keep walking.”
Atlas stopped asking questions and simply followed her instructions. Soon, they reached the part of the plane where a few cabin crew members were idling before the cockpit.
“I don’t feel good about this,” he murmured as the crew noticed them.
“Yes, Young Madam and Sir Atlas? Is there anything you need?” one of the flight attendants asked politely, smiling at them.
Penny looped her arm around Atlas’s and flashed a charming smile. “Actually, Brother Hugo and my husband were asking for something. They said to call you.”
“Oh?”
“For some reason, the buttons aren’t working, so you should check on them as well,” she added, casting a glance around. “You should all go. My husband specifically told me to call all of you.”
The cabin crew exchanged confused looks. However, since this craft belonged to the Piersons, if Zoren Pierson requested something, they had no choice but to comply.
“Oh, don’t mind us!” Penny laughed, waving them off. “My brother and I will follow you guys soon, but we need to discuss something important first. No need to wait for us—we’ll be right behind.”
“Miss Penelope, are you sure?”
“Of course.” Penny nodded. “Now go. Zoren Pierson is waiting.”
“Alright. Apologies that you had to come all the way here,” one of the attendants said before nodding at their colleagues. Then, they excused themselves and headed back to where Zoren was supposedly waiting.
Once they were out of sight, Atlas turned to her. “What are you up to, Penny?”
“Hehe. Something… interesting.” She winked at him, letting go of his arm and advancing toward the cockpit. Without hesitation, she slid the door open, startling the pilots inside.
“Who—” the co-pilot turned around, only to see Penny. Before he could ask what she wanted, Penny made an announcement.
“This flight is now under my control.” She raised a brow before smirking. “Get out of our seats. My co-pilot and I will be taking over. You can rest now.”
The pilots furrowed their brows, making Penny roll her eyes.
“I’m hijacking the plane,” she clarified. “Duh.”
Jokes or not, the co-pilot immediately reached for something, but before he could press any button, Penny’s fist came flying toward him, knocking him out. As he slumped forward, she snapped her gaze to the other pilot.
This time, her smile didn’t reach her eyes.
“Out.”
