Chapter 1217: Do it, or I’ll kill him!
[PRESENT TIME]
Grace leaned back, her leg resting over the other, and her foot swinging to and fro under the table. She crossed her arms, her face showing faint confusion.
“I get it,” Grace nodded in understanding, eyes on the woman across from her in the café. “You, in a drunken state, hijacked your plane home. But it turns out the plane was already hijacked?”
Penny nodded while sipping her juice. “That’s right.”
“No one was hurt. Fortunately, Benjamin took his sleeping pills and slept like a baby. Slater, on the other hand, fell asleep as well because he barely got any rest before your flight. Your other brothers and your husband were fine even after confronting these bad guys, which you managed to tie up throughout the plane ride.”
“Uh-huh.” Penny rocked her head, still sipping her juice. “That’s right.”
“If so, why do you all look like you’ve been through a war when you landed?” Grace asked, still confused about this detail. Although Grace was not there to witness them, she heard about it from Yugi. How Yugi got wind of that detail was something Grace was unsure of, but that was the reason Grace and Penny had met in the café near the Prime Group office.
“Well.” This time, Penny placed her juice down and leaned back. Slowly, she gazed up, recalling what had happened.

“Why did you knock him out?” Hugo asked in disbelief. “Since he’s awake, questioning him is the next part.”
Penny’s face contorted as she waved a hand in front of her. “Oh, gee! I forgot about that.”
“Penny,” this time, Zoren called her in a mild yet authoritative tone.
“We’re fine,” she said, rolling her eyes. “No one’s hurt. Atlas found the cabin crew, right?”
Atlas nodded. “They were still trying to recompose themselves in the other cabin.”
“Then, Slater and Benjamin were also fine!” she continued, casting Hugo a knowing look. “We’re all fine, so why do we need to question them? The police can do that once we land, right?”
“…” All three men just stared at her, rendered speechless by her logic. They knew these guys would be questioned, but this flight was a sixteen-hour flight. Wasn’t it better if they figured out what else these people were up to?
“Chill, chill.” Penny laughed and waved her hand dismissively. “These guys are already contained. So, let’s just treat this flight as—”
Before she could finish, Penny grabbed the seat near her at the sudden turbulence.
“What the—” she halted, looking up, holding on to the seat to keep herself from falling.
“What’s going on?” Atlas asked with concern.
“Just probably turbulence,” said Hugo, keeping himself still with his body on the seat near him. “I’ll go check and maybe assist the captain. He might need help.”
Having said that, Hugo waited for a moment until the turbulence grew milder. With that, he walked, holding onto the seats. As he walked past Atlas, the latter shot Penny a look, then glanced at Zoren.
“I’ll see if I can help them,” said Atlas. “You two should rest for now.”
He idled only for a moment before following Hugo. Just like his brother, Atlas held on to something on the way to keep his footing.
As they left the cabin again and headed to where the cockpit was, Hugo casually went in without a problem. He approached the cockpit, but he kept his guard up in case someone would come at him for a surprise attack.
No one attacked Hugo, but someone did come up.
Hugo’s steps halted when he felt an odd silence linger in the air. Slowly, he looked back.
There, standing several steps from him, was Atlas, with a man behind him holding a knife to Atlas’s neck.
“…” Hugo raised a hand, eyes on Atlas and the man holding Atlas captive. “Calm down.”
By the looks of it, they had missed one fake cabin crew member. Hugo and the others had thought they had already contained everyone, but a rat seemed to have luck on his side. Unfortunately, this man disregarded his good fortune.

Hugo was right.
When the crew checked on them, not all of them had come. But when they saw that Hugo and Zoren were fast asleep, the remaining crew gathered, except for one. The one member, who had to use the bathroom, chose to follow his colleagues and witnessed them getting beaten up by two monsters.
Thus, the man chose to hide while all the supposed hostages were running loose on the aircraft. But he knew it was only a matter of time before they found him, so he decided to act and take the most vulnerable person he’d observed so far.
“Calm down,” Hugo breathed out, taking a step.
“Stay where you are!” the man pointed the knife closer to Atlas’s neck. “Take another step, and this knife goes into his neck.”
Hugo drew a deep breath and took a step back. “Okay,” he nodded, raising his hands. “Alright. We’ll do it your way. What do you want?”
“Release all of them and tie yourselves up!” the man demanded, pulling Atlas with him.
Atlas remained calm, his hands slightly raised. “You don’t want to do this,” he said, only to stop when the man glared at him and pressed the knife to his skin.
“Don’t talk!” the man warned, his eyes full of rage and nervousness, shifting back to Hugo. “Listen to me, or this guy is dead.”
“…” Hugo pressed his mouth into a thin line, watching as the man backed away with Atlas. Checking the space past the man, he tilted his head. “Sure. Let’s do that. But how am I supposed to do that when you’re in the way? You don’t want to take another step, but to untie them, I have to walk past you.”
The man smirked smugly. “Do you think you can outsmart me? Hah! Untying them doesn’t require you to do it. There are two others in the other cabin, aren’t there? Tell them to untie them.”
With that, the man jerked his chin in Hugo’s direction. Slowly, Hugo looked back, his eyes falling on the telephone mounted on the wall.
“You want me to… announce it?” Hugo looked back at the man, scoffing.
“Do it, or I’ll kill him!” the man gulped, his knife trembling. Seeing that Hugo wasn’t moving, rage slowly filled him as he yelled, “I said do it!”
