Chapter 1441: Hard as a rock
When Penny walked back into the house, she stopped upon spotting Atlas idling in the living room. He was massaging his temple, showing no sign of leaving just yet. When she shifted her gaze to the other side, her face twitched.
There, Hugo was doing intense push-ups—so fast that Penny didn’t even doubt the numbers he was counting.
“What is wrong with you?” Penny grumbled, ready to confront them. However, Hugo ignored her, while Atlas merely peeked at her.
“First Brother, I know you came here to ask me about the security system. Since you seem to have this wicked plan of replacing people with automation.”
“Sometimes, systems like this are more efficient than having extra people idling in the company,” Atlas replied, his tone as lifeless as ever. “But don’t talk to me about that. My head is aching, and also—why is this place so hot?”
“Hot?” Penny scrunched up her nose. “If we stay here for another hour, I might end up wrapping myself in blankets.”
“This house’s AC is broken. What are you talking about?” Hugo muttered through gritted teeth, still doing push-ups. “It feels like an oven in here.”
“That’s because you’re working out!” Penny yelled before pinching the bridge of her nose.
Just then, she noticed that Slater and Zoren were nowhere to be seen. Looking around, she found no sign of them.
“Where’s Third Brother and Renren?”
Atlas shrugged, fingers still pressing against his temple. “Slater said this house feels like hell, so he went to take a bath. As for your husband, he said he was going to check on your overweight pets.”
“They’re not overweight!” Penny huffed. “Blacky and Chunchun are just… unexercised!”
“Whatever.” Atlas waved dismissively. “Get out of my sight.”
Penny’s face crumpled, utterly confused by his attitude. But before she could dwell on it, Hugo gasped for air.
“Penny, can you get me a glass of ice-cold water please?” He asked between deep breaths. “I feel like I’m going to melt.”
Penny frowned. “Seriously. What’s wrong with you guys?” she mumbled, shaking her head. “Fine. I’ll get you a very cold glass of water.”
“Me too,” Atlas added, removing his tie. “Also, where’s the spare bathroom? I think I need a cold shower.”
“Gosh… it’s right there,” she pointed and shook her head. “I’ll get you some water first.”
Something was definitely off. Penny had noticed the flushed color on her brothers’ faces—on Zoren and Haines too. It wasn’t just the heat. They were acting strangely.
“Goodness,” she grumbled as she took out a pitcher and some ice. As she placed them on the kitchen counter, she couldn’t stop wondering what could possibly be making them feel so hot. The house was practically freezing.
“They didn’t seem mad about waiting, but they’re all overheating, thirsty, and—ahh!” Penny yelped as a hand suddenly covered her mouth.
Her eyes widened, but she immediately recognized the scent behind her.
Zoren.
“Penny,” Zoren breathed against her ear, his hot breath caressing the side of her neck as his arm tightened around her waist. “Let’s do it.”
“Huh?!” Her brows shot up in shock. She shook her head, trying to shake his hand off her mouth, but before she could, Zoren had already started showering her neck with hot kisses, his other hand cupping her breast.
Penny gasped in horror. The more she struggled, the tighter his grip became, pressing her against him so she could feel his arousal.
“Just once.” His breathing was quick and shallow, his entire body trembling with both excitement and desperation. “I’ll be quick. I promise. I’ve been holding back since you arrived—you just don’t know.”
“…” Penny was frozen in shock while her husband practically made love to her cheek, jaw, lips, and neck. His hands roamed her body, his front pressing against hers.
“Wa—wait!” she stuttered, trying to jump out of his embrace. But Zoren was quick, caging her in by placing his hands on either side of her, resting them on the counter.
Penny leaned back until she was nearly sitting on the counter. “Renren, what is going on?”

“I want you,” he breathed, leaning in to claim her lips.
“Wait—!” Penny pushed his shoulders slightly. “My brothers are right outside!”
“I don’t care—” Zoren tried again.
Heaven knew that the moment he saw his wife earlier, all he wanted was to strip her. Every sensation of making love to her resurfaced in his mind, making his pants unbearably tight. That was why he had avoided looking at her or touching her.
Because the second he did, it would be a live show for everyone to see.
“Wait!” Penny pushed him again, making him frown. His eyes darkened as he locked gazes with her.
She studied him in disbelief. Sure, she liked his aggressiveness sometimes, these surprise attacks. But while Zoren was always in heat, he wasn’t reckless. He would never risk doing more than kissing, especially when her brothers could walk in at any moment.
“Renren, what’s going on?” she asked, cupping his face and touching his forehead. “You’re burning.”
“Because I’m horny,” he muttered under his breath. “And I feel like I’m going to explode, Penny.”
Zoren took her hand and guided it to his manhood. Penny’s eyes widened as he stared at her, as if his life depended on it.
“You’re… hard.”
“Hard as a rock,” he clarified with a nod.
Penny blinked in confusion, trying to process. If she played along, she might be able to make him finish fast. After all, in his state, it wouldn’t take much. But before she could agree to take this elsewhere, something red caught her eye.
Slowly, she turned her head toward the dish rack. Her face twitched as she stared at the red soup container that had been washed.
“Renren…” she gazed back at him, teary-eyed, dreading the answer she was about to hear. “Did you… did you say you guys had soup earlier?”
Zoren frowned impatiently. “What’s that got to do with this dilemma?”
“I think…” she trailed off, her heart sinking. “… You guys just had that soup Grandma gave you.”
She pointed at the dish rack. “The one you said you didn’t need because you can ‘always perform.'”
Zoren and Penny turned their heads in unison, staring at the red soup container.
And at that moment, they both felt as if a bucket of ice had been dumped over them.
They’d been drugged.
