Chapter 426: Now, some drinks.
“Close down all exits —” The first bodyguard, who was approaching the short entrance from the other wing of the mansion, halted as Penny kicked the door open. His breath hitched, sensing the dangerous aura emanating from her.

Penny stood by the door, smirking, her eyes scanning the people in front of her.

“Uh…” The bodyguard instinctively stepped back, tilting his head slightly while keeping his eyes on Penny. “One of you, report to the captain. The rest… let’s stop her.”

These bodyguards had rushed in when they heard the commotion from the separate, dirty kitchen. They had thought it was an enemy bold enough to step foot in this place.

Who would have thought it was only Penny?

But then again, the bodyguards’ instincts told them this was worse than facing an enemy. The first bodyguard leading the group knew their captain, Angel, had to be there. After all, he could sense danger from Penny, and by the looks of it, she didn’t seem to recognize them.

Was she drugged? Hypnotized?

It didn’t matter.

The vicious look Penny was giving them was the look of someone who would crash through anyone in her way like a bull.

“Yes, sir!” The last person in line nodded in understanding, not wasting a breath as he retreated to report to Angel.

Meanwhile, the rest assessed Penny with bated breath.

“What do we do?” one of the men asked under his breath. “Are we… supposed to fight her?”

“Does it seem like we have much of a choice?” another one breathed out. “Just look at her.”

“That… that’s definitely the Dame of Hell.”

“Shit!”

“Focus.” The first one leading the group took off his blazer, revealing the straps across his body where his guns were kept. “Let’s buy them some time.”

None of them even dared to think they could stop Penny. Realistically speaking, they couldn’t. After all, during their training, Penny had joined them a few times. They had watched her spar with some of them; she won every time.

Although they were her best men, not all of them were unbeatable, especially in close combat. Close combat was Penny’s forte, not this group. That was why they were on the first line of Zoren’s defenses. Even so, they had to give it a try.

“It’s been a while since we sparred with her,” said the first one. “Let’s do our best.”

“Yes!”

With that, the bodyguard in the front marched forward.

Seeing that they started making a move, Penny smirked. She also walked toward them, unafraid of facing a few men. But instead of fighting them, Penny yelled and ducked.

“Blacky!” she called, and as she squatted, a large black panther leaped over her.

The men, who were expecting to fight with Penny, froze at the sight of the panther leaping toward them.

Uh oh.

“Hey!” The first guard instinctively looked down, only to see Penny sliding toward him. Before he knew it, she grabbed his ankle and pulled him, causing him to slide down to his bottom.

He landed with a thud, wincing. Yet, before he could even recover, a foot was already flying in his direction.

“Shit!” The man raised his arm to shield the side of his head, blocking the kick.

A bubble of excitement rose in his heart when he managed to block the assault. But alas, when he looked at Penny, all he saw was her devious grin. What she did next was something he couldn’t block.

Penny raised her other foot as she swiftly fell down, her palms landing on the floor gracefully. With one foot on the man’s arm and the other on the opposite side, she pushed herself off the ground and spun in the air.

“Ahh!!” The man yelled as he felt his joint twist. All he could do to lessen the injury was roll on the floor along with hers. Even so, he felt his joint dislocate.

Meanwhile, behind him, Renny crashed into another guard. Renny stomped on the man directly on the floor, then used his massive body to swing another person against the wall. Slowly, Renny lifted his head and fixed his gaze on another bodyguard.

The bodyguard took a careful step back upon seeing that his comrade had fallen in a matter of seconds. When he saw Penny jump back up, standing behind the panther, he gulped.

‘I guess a minute is already buying time?’ he thought, and in a snap of a finger, he turned around and jumped away. ‘I’m sorry, but I’d rather die in the hands of an enemy than her!’

Penny chuckled, watching the guy flee. “Blacky, go after him.”

Renny let out a low growl and obeyed. It only took Renny one and a half jump to reach the man, landing on his back and causing him to fall face-first.

“Ack!”

“Blacky!” Penny called, stopping the panther from salivating at the man. Renny already had his jaw wide open, ready to tear the man’s clothes off when Penny called.

Renny looked at his mother, only to see her casually approaching. The man underneath the panther winced in pain. He had hit his nose, and it was now bleeding.

“Ugh…” The man groaned until he saw a pair of shoes in front of him. Lifting his eyes, he saw Penny’s sharp gaze, which she only carried when irked.

“Miss…” he called through gritted teeth, but the weight on his back made it hard for him to speak. “… Penny.”

“You know me?” Penny tilted her head to the side, batting her eyelashes slowly. “How?”

How? The man almost cried when she asked that question. But then, he got a faint whiff of alcohol from her.

“Never mind.” Penny shrugged, tapping the top of the man’s temple with her index knuckle. “Hey, tell me where he is, and I’ll let you go. How about that?”

“Huh?” Confused, the man furrowed his brows. However, he winced when Renny placed another paw on his back. “He — heavy!”

“Him,” Penny repeated, spreading her bent knees as she lowered her head. “Nathaniel. Where’s that guy?”

‘Nathaniel?’ The man wanted to say he didn’t know anyone named Nathaniel. After all, they hadn’t had a proper introduction to Zoren’s people yet.

“One last time,” Penny dawdled, snapping the man from his confused state of mind. “Where is he?”

The man’s breath hitched, catching the devilish glint that briefly appeared in her eyes. Without realizing it, he stretched his index finger, pointing in a direction.

Seeing this, Penny raised a brow as she glanced in the direction where these men had come from.

“There,” the bodyguard breathed out, using his remaining breath to answer her. “He is… there.”

The bodyguard might not know Nathaniel. However, he knew where Zoren Pierson was right now and believed Zoren might be able to stop his pet and his wife!

‘Boss! Weren’t you trying to act like a damsel in distress?! Why are you summoning hell into your matrimonial home?!’

“Ahh…” Penny chuckled and nodded. “Renny, let that guy go. He’s pathetic.”

After saying her piece, Penny jumped out and marched away. But just before she could make a turn, she stopped and walked in reverse. Turning her head, her eyes twinkled, and she went inside the room first.

Before her were racks of wine as if it were a liquor store. Her lips stretched into a wide smile, revealing all her teeth.

“Now, time for some drinks!”
