Chapter 611: This is a family matter!
THUD!
“Ouch!” Grace yelped as her back hit the stool, wincing in pain. When she glanced to her side, she realized that Ginnie had slid further away from her. “Ginnie!”
“Ugh…” Ginnie winced, touching her throbbing head.
When Aiden pushed Grace, Ginnie instinctively tried to catch her. However, still intoxicated, she barely managed to support Grace. As a result, Ginnie lost her footing and hit her head against the stool, causing her to fall back further.
“Ginnie, are you okay?” Grace asked, despite the pain in her back.
Ginnie peeked at her, smiling wryly. “Yeah. The alcohol just made me a bit dizzy, but I’m generally fine.”
As the two assessed their condition, they continued to hear Lily’s voice.
“Stop! Are you insane!? Let me go, I said!” Lily yelled at the top of her lungs, putting all her weight on her feet to slow him down. “Hey! Help me! Can’t you see he is dragging me out of here?! If something happens to me, I’ll sue all of you!”
Lily screamed and yelled, desperately trying to peel his fingers from her wrist. When she looked back and saw Grace and Ginnie sitting on the floor, she clenched her teeth and glared at Aiden’s back.
“You human trash! How dare you hurt my friends?!” she growled, taking a step toward him. She bent over and bit his arm as hard as she could, finally making him stop.
“Ahhh!” Aiden shouted, instinctively looking back. He kept his hold on her, but she bit harder. “Ah, shit!”
This time, he let her go to make her stop biting his arm. He hissed and pulled up his sleeve, grinding his teeth in irritation as he saw a bit of blood from the deep bite marks.
“Ginnie! Grace!” Lily called worriedly, rushing to her friends. She squatted in front of them, darting her eyes between the two. Her face crumpled as tears brimmed in the corners of her eyes. “I’m so sorry! Are you both okay?”
Ginnie and Grace turned to face her, offering her meek but reassuring smiles while nodding.
“Don’t worry,” said Grace. “I’m alright.”
“Me too. This is nothing compared to the times a ball hit me during practice,” Ginnie tried to lighten the mood, lowering her hand from her head.
The moment Ginnie did, Lily’s eyes went wide as she gasped. “Ginnie, you’re bleeding!” Lily reached for Ginnie’s temple but hesitated when she saw blood trickling down. “Oh, no! What are we going to do?”
Grace glanced at Ginnie’s forehead and saw a cut on it. “Ginnie, can you stand? How do you feel?”
“I’m okay,” Ginnie said with a shallow laugh, touching her forehead to check before hissing. “It’s just a small cut, and I’m fine.”
“Ginnie…” Lily pressed her lips into a thin line, about to help Ginnie up when she felt two pairs of hands grab her shoulders. “Huh?”
Confused, Lily looked to her right and then to her left. The men holding her were strangers, and before she could wonder who they were, she found herself being pulled away from her friends.
“Tch. I didn’t want to do this, but look what you made me do, Lily!” Aiden barked irritably, glaring at her and then at her friends. He hissed at them, scanning the crowd that was watching everything unfold.
Seeing that no one was daring to step in, Aiden smirked. He raised his chin, shifting his eyes back to Lily, who was now held by two goons—bodyguards he hired, anticipating the need to take her by force if necessary.
“Aiden, what is the meaning of this?!” Lily barked through gritted teeth. “This is abduction! Don’t you dare think you’ll get away with this!”
“Hah! Lily, why are you so stubborn?!” Aiden yelled back, ensuring everyone heard him. “I came here because everyone was worried about you! Even your parents were worried! I know things aren’t easy, but I’m only doing this because I’m afraid you’ll take the wrong path in life.”
“Wrong path in life?! The only wrong path I’ve taken is yours!” Lily screamed back. “Your path is full of trash and lies! I was blind to even consider a scum like you! You belong in the bin! Human trash! Trash! Trash!”
Aiden hissed at everything she said but didn’t bother arguing.
‘She will behave once it’s just the two of us,’ he told himself. ‘If she hears my explanation, she’ll eventually calm down.’
With that thought in mind, Aiden jerked his chin toward the two goons. They nodded in understanding, holding Lily securely as they dragged her away. Lily wasn’t the type to let herself be dragged easily, putting all her weight on her feet while wriggling her arms for freedom. But alas, no matter what she did, she couldn’t escape them.
“Help me! Whoever helps me will get a prize! Help! Somebody! They’re abducting me—if you hear that my body was found somewhere, it’s all on you!”

“Shut up!” Aiden shouted back, but Lily didn’t stop. “Lily, it’s not what you think it is! You’re not well! Stop acting crazy!”
“Help! He’s a liar! He’s going to kill me! Please! Help me! Somebody!”
“Tch.” Aiden clenched his teeth, glaring at the person trying to approach them. “Stay out of it. This is a family matter.”
The only person who attempted to help stepped back, seeing more bodyguards emerging from the crowd. He raised his hands in surrender, signaling that he wouldn’t intervene any longer.
“Help! This is not a family matter—this is abduction!” Lily cried out until her throat felt raw. “Help me, please!”
Meanwhile, as all this was happening, the bartender snapped out of it when Penny snapped her fingers at him.
“Uh… yes?” the bartender stuttered, glancing at Nina, who was now seated on the other stool, half of her body on the bar counter.
“Can I borrow a wineglass, please?”
“Huh?” The bartender furrowed his brows, staring at the smile plastered on Penny’s face. “You want wine?”
“Yes. As soon as possible.”
“Uh… okay.” The bartender cleared his throat, finding it odd that she wanted wine. Even so, he gave her what she wanted. Much to his surprise, the second he did, Penny poured the wine onto the floor. What she did next shocked and puzzled him.
Penny turned her back to Nina and carefully smashed the round part of the wineglass until she was left holding just the long stem.
“This is enough,” she muttered before walking away, spinning the handle in her hand until the sharp parts rested against her fist.
“Wait, Miss!” the bartender panicked. “Where are you going with that?”
The bartender’s breath hitched, his eyes wide as he watched Penny take a large step and thrust the makeshift weapon toward one of the men dragging Lily away.
