Thankfully, Zoren listened to Penny and stopped right after that last request for a round of passion. So, Penny still had some energy left. After all, her husband always depleted her energy almost every night. She wouldn’t be surprised if she had lost weight because of it.

“You’re not taking home the presents with you?” he asked as they dressed, watching her shake her head.

“I’m keeping them here,” she replied, watching him saunter in her direction and stop before her. Penny chuckled, reaching for his button. “This button is wrong.”

She fixed his button, snapping her eyes up at him. “I’m hosting a lunch date soon with some people from the Pierson family. I’m planning to host it here.”

“Here?” Zoren furrowed his brows. “Why here?”

“The Pierson family has already heard about Prime Group, but I’m sure hearing it and seeing why Prime Group is at the top of our game are two different things.” She winked, tapping his chest as she finished his buttons. “I’d like them to see it for themselves. After all, I need people in the family. Don’t take it personally, my love life.”

“I don’t, my love life,” he returned, raising her brows as he mimicked her unique endearment of him, which she would casually use. “Shall we?”

Penny snapped her eyes back to him and nodded. “I’ll just check my hair a bit, then we’ll go.”

Having said that, Penny rushed to the mirror to check her hair. Once she finished, she walked back to him with a smile.

“Done! Let’s go home!”

Zoren smiled and offered his arm, which she took without hesitation. Together, the two of them went home.

As usual, Penny and Zoren followed their regular routine once they were home. That routine involved Renny pouncing on her, while Zoren carried Chunchun around on his arm. There was nothing unusual — it was just another night in their recurring events.

After dinner, Penny was already preparing to rest and probably do some reading. However, as she was doing her skincare night routine, her phone buzzed.

“Lily’s calling,” she whispered, answering the call and putting it on speaker mode.

“Hey, Penny~” Lily’s sweet voice instantly assaulted Penny’s ear. “How are you?”

“I’m okay,” Penny playfully mimicked her friend’s tone, making Lily giggle.

“Anyway, Penny, I have to tell you something,” Lily said excitedly, only to stop when Penny suddenly spoke.

“One sec, Lil,” Penny turned her head toward the door, catching her husband by the doorframe. Zoren held the door slightly open, with half of his body peeking inside. “What?”

Zoren smiled. “I’m taking Renny and Chunchun for a walk. I’m telling you this because you might look for me.”

“You’re taking them for a walk…?” Penny knitted her brows, nodding in confusion. “Okay?”

“I’ll be back.” His smile stretched before he closed the door to give her privacy.

“Uh… is it safe to talk now?” Lily’s voice was heard again.

Penny’s expression was still puzzled. “Mhm,” she hummed in response. “What were you saying?”

“I can tell you about it later,” Lily remarked. “But I’m more curious why you sound… confused. Your husband is just taking your pets for a walk.”

“Well, Zoren usually asks me to walk with him,” Penny whispered.

“Hehe. He’s probably being considerate.”

“Considerate about what?”

“I mean, he’s been keeping you all night and couldn’t get his hands off of you! Since he’s exhausting you so much, he should at least be considerate of you!”

Penny’s face twitched, gazing down at her phone in disbelief. ‘If I didn’t know better, I’d think Lily was spying on us to make sure we’ve been doing our marital duties properly.’

“Well, anyway, I called because we got a date for the reunion~!”

Meanwhile, Outside the Residence

A huge van pulled up in front of Zoren. Angel casually opened the door, and Zoren stroked the top of Renny’s head.

“Get in,” said Zoren with a slight smile, and Renny didn’t hesitate to climb into the van. Holding Chunchun in his arms because Chunchun didn’t want to be put down, Zoren followed the black panther.

He stopped before getting into the van, facing Angel squarely. “Angel, stay here and look after my wife.”

“Sir?” Angel raised an eyebrow, only to see Zoren smile subtly.

“I’m taking Mark with me tonight,” Zoren said. “If Penny asks where I took the children, tell her I went out for a walk. She’ll know where I am.”

Angel frowned, gazing at Mark, who had approached them. Although the orders were clear and Zoren had Mark with him, Angel couldn’t simply stay back with Penny. This was the first time Zoren had asked him to stay with Penny while he preferred Mark’s company.

Wherever this walk was, it was probably personal.

“Would it be safe for you?” Angel asked, disregarding the fact that his question might insult Mark. Fortunately, Mark didn’t take offense, as he had grown used to Angel after months of knowing each other.

Zoren nodded. “I’m taking him just in case, but I’m sure he’s just going to be a display.”

Mark: “…”

“I see.” Angel nodded. “Well then, please be safe. Otherwise, I might not take such a request next time. I don’t want my boss to vent her anger on me.”

“Don’t worry,” Zoren reassured him as he slowly turned his back to Angel. “I wouldn’t have asked this if I knew you’d be in trouble.”

With that, Zoren got into the van, and Mark quietly reached out for the door. Mark closed it for Zoren, then turned to face Angel.

“We’ll be back,” said Mark, taking a step, only to stop and cast Angel a glance. “And don’t think being a display is bad. I’d prefer if I end up looking like a display because that means my boss handled the situation.”

Angel scrunched up his nose, watching Mark get into the front passenger seat of the van. He took a step back, giving the vehicle more space to turn.

“He didn’t have to explain his side to me. It’s not like I don’t know,” Angel murmured, shaking his head a little. “But seriously… is he really a part of Penny’s fan club? Everyone’s talking about it already, especially since the Third Brother stayed here overnight last time.”
