Chapter 918: Peer pressure
For a moment, everyone was quiet, staring at Zoren and trying to absorb the move he had made with Penny. Even Penny was shocked herself — to be precise, she was charmed. However, what made this scene interesting was that Penny was still in a bodysuit!
It was like the handsome beast and the half piggy!
The moment Zoren took the shot and placed the glass down, another cheer erupted in the gymnasium.
“Woah!! Way to go, Blacky!”
“Oh, my god! My heart just skipped a bit!”
“Even though Penny is just in a bodysuit, I kinda feel she didn’t deserve that.”
Nina, who was momentarily scared for Zoren, gasped and covered her mouth in shock. Her eyes were wide, flustered by what she had just witnessed. Not just her, but many — especially women — who had witnessed it couldn’t help but get flustered, even though they weren’t the ones in Penny’s position.
‘Never in my life would I have imagined someone doing that to Penny and still standing,’ she thought.
Meanwhile, Dean, who was just a few steps behind Zoren as he tried to get to him, froze in place. Since no one seemed successful in stopping Zoren, Dean thought he should do it. However, just a step before reaching Zoren, Penny suddenly showed up, only to get swept off her feet and fail.
“Eh? Eh?” Ray panicked, looking from left to right. “Hey! Why is he getting drunk!? Who’s responsible for this? I’ll kill him!”
“Headmaster, why are you adding more offenses to this reunion? First, you allowed alcoholic beverages, and now, you’re adding murder?” someone from the crowd added, only to fall silent when Ray retorted:
“If your daughter comes of age, you better make sure not to send her to this school. I’ll reject her on the spot.”
Meanwhile…
“Wahh!! What are you doing to my sister!!?” Slater yelled, pointing a finger at Zoren, who casually ignored him. “Hey! I’m talking to you! How dare you—”
Slater stopped when Atlas suddenly tossed something into his mouth, shutting him up.
“Shut up,” Atlas flatly remarked, shaking his head.
“Mhmp!” Slater chewed the food that Atlas shot into his mouth, only to furrow his brows. “Oh, this is good.”
With all the cheers going around, Penny could only listen to her racing heart. Her heart was beating so fast she could hear it in her ears. All she could do was stare at this wild man, flustered, mesmerized, and her mind blank.
“Good lord…” she breathed out, only for him to pull her as if he was just helping her get back on her feet. As soon as she stood in front of him, she cleared her throat and touched her nape.
“It’s alright,” Zoren reassured her as he reached out for the next drink. “Look. I’ll finish this challenge like a… don.”
“LIKE A DON — YES!”
Penny almost jumped when a group of men shouted in unison. When she looked, her eyes instantly landed on the basketball team with Hugo, who seemed to have had a few drinks already.
“Why am I surprised?” she murmured, clicking her tongue at them. “I should’ve known it was them pressuring him.”
Growing up, Zoren didn’t have friends aside from Penny. That was why Penny was so precious to him; she was his first friend, and that was the same reason she understood why Zoren treasured their friendship even without any romance involved.
In other words, Zoren didn’t experience peer pressure!
Penny mentally wept as she looked up at her seductive husband, who seemed to not have realized what he was doing was not just cute. It was more like a show for a thirst trap!
As Zoren reached for the next glass, he turned to Penny. He raised his brows mildly and tilted his head a little to the side, tipping the glass close to her.
“Do you want a drink?” he asked in a low baritone, melting her heart with his unintended subtle seduction.
“Uh.” Penny opened and closed her mouth, feeling like she was being hit on by a handsome high schooler! It felt wrong, but she was being seduced. Her mouth felt dry as she tried to reason in her head what she should do and how she should react at the moment.
While Penny was busy telling herself not to jump on him, those who knew the drunk Penny and heard Zoren’s offer froze in place. Those people were none other than Hugo, Atlas, and even Mark.

“First Brother, what is that snack you just gave me?” Slater asked, furrowing his brows as soon as he saw the look of dread on Atlas’s face. “Huh? Why do you look like you’ve seen a ghost?”
When Slater followed where Atlas was staring, the first thing he saw was Zoren holding the glass between him and Penny. Catching Hugo’s expression, he tilted his head to the side.
“Why do you act like something’s wrong?” Slater pouted, eyes falling back to Penny and Zoren. “Ahh… that’s right. What a bad influence. How could he ask her to drink?”
“I… sure!” Penny brightened up, about to reach for the glass when someone else snatched it from Zoren’s hand.
“I’ll do it!” Hugo announced, and without waiting, he chugged down the entire glass. He hissed in satisfaction, almost slamming the shot glass on the table. “See?!”
Zoren: “…”
Penny: “…”
Atlas, who also jumped into action and was now standing just a few steps across the table: “…”
Everyone else: “…”
“Huh?” Hugo looked around, only to see everyone staring at him with different emotions. “What? I just saved my sister from drinking!”
“Are you challenging me?” Zoren returned, causing lines to deepen on Hugo’s forehead.
“What?!”
Zoren fluttered his eyelashes and shook his head, setting his eyes back on his beloved wife. “I was trying to hit on her, but you… you’re making me very angry.”
This time, Hugo was the one who was rendered speechless. Everyone else just either looked at each other or at Zoren in dismay.
“Sir, I think you’ve had enough drinks,” Mark, who had been scolded by Zoren for trying to stop him, whispered to him. However, Zoren treated him like a fly.
Mark sighed, casting Penny a look of help. But alas, Penny was just staring at Zoren with twinkling eyes, her hands clasped together.
‘I should’ve known when he asked me to lock Benjamin away that I can’t rely on Miss Penny for help.’ Mark sighed for the umpteenth time, hoping someone would help him stop Zoren from drinking. But alas, instead of getting help, Lily just shouted for Hugo and Zoren to have a drinking contest.
Mark clenched his teeth and glared daggers at Lily, who had started all of this. ‘If I get the chance, I’ll make sure she regrets her decisions in life!’
