Chapter 963: Do not worry anymore
Finding Penny’s brother’s wife was never part of Penny’s life plan—not a problem she needed to fix, nor something she had ever considered a problem. It wasn’t even the reason she came to the Old Pierson Residence. But Old Mrs. Pierson was happy. She could always coax her brothers. Besides, Penny hadn’t heard of her brothers dating in the past. She had heard of Atlas going on blind dates, but he blew all of them off.
This would be a good experience for them, and it would not only make Old Mrs. Pierson happy but also give her something to do. At her age, the only way to keep Old Mrs. Pierson from falling into depression was to give her something to focus on.
“Young Madam…” Butler Hubert called as he approached Penny from the side. Penny had stepped out for a bit to take a quick call, leaving Old Mrs. Pierson and the matchmaker, whom the Old Madam had called in right away.
Penny flashed Butler Hubert a smile before peeking at the courtyard, where Old Mrs. Pierson and the matchmaker were busy with their work.
“Butler Hubert, how’s grandma doing according to your assessment?” she asked, even though her own observation of Old Mrs. Pierson had been positive.
Butler Hubert smiled at her. “So far, the Old Madam is doing well… it’s strange.”
“Strange?”
“Young Madam, the Old Madam might’ve fallen ill in the past. But ever since the Young Master revealed that he had been married, the Old Madam’s health has continued to improve. The Third Young Master’s visits have also helped lift her mood, making her less grumpy and healthier than she’s ever been,” Butler Hubert explained. “Even now that you’ve been monitoring her medications, she’s still as healthy as she was.”
Butler Hubert paused, pressing his lips together as hesitation flickered in his eyes. Penny, sensing his unspoken concern, decided to continue what the butler was trying to say.
“But the only time she had such an episode was that time with William Pierson?” she asked, and Butler Hubert nodded.
“I’m not saying this because I believe the Old Madam shouldn’t retire. With her age, I know she should rest and enjoy the time the Heavens grant her. However, I don’t think the Old Madam is ill. If anything, she’s sharper now after realizing she could be losing her memories.”
Silence fell between them as they stared at each other. After a moment, Penny turned her head toward the courtyard, where she could see Old Mrs. Pierson excitedly clapping and laughing while the matchmaker was reading someone’s star alignment.
The warm glow of the midday sun created a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. With the Old Madam smiling so brightly, as if she were younger than she was, Penny’s heart softened despite the sharpness in her eyes.
“I understand, Butler Hubert,” Penny slowly said, setting her eyes back on him. Her smile was meek, her eyes subtly sharper, but her tone remained polite. “Diagnosing dementia isn’t easy. Grandma might be fine now, but at the same time, I understand your concerns.”
Slowly, she faced Butler Hubert squarely as her voice lowered. “I’m giving her another set of medications, Butler Hubert. Please take care of them and make sure she takes them on time.”
“Yes, Young Madam.”
“Also…” Penny trailed off, watching the butler lift his head slowly. “I want you to do something for me, Butler Hubert.”
“What is it, Young Madam?”
Penny didn’t answer immediately. She took a step, glanced around, and then proceeded to speak when she was sure no one else was listening. “Please observe everyone in the residence. If what you and I think is true, then it’s most likely that someone in this house is involved in whatever is happening.”
“But that’s impossible…” Butler Hubert trailed off when he saw the stern look in her eyes. It was the first time Butler Hubert had seen Penny so serious. He closed his mouth and nodded in understanding. “I understand, Young Madam.”
“Thank you, Butler Hu.”
Even though Butler Hubert knew that everyone working in the Old Pierson Residence had been thoroughly screened and had worked there for years, things could still happen. After all, this was the Pierson Family. Anything could happen, especially now that someone was claiming to be Enzo’s—Zoren’s father’s—illegitimate child.

“Penny, take a look at this!” Old Mrs. Pierson giddily clapped as Penny joined them after some time. “The master I called told me these are the dates that will match well with everyone!”
She then placed a paper in front of Penny, which the latter skimmed. Haines, Wild, Atlas, Hugo, and Slater’s names, along with their birth dates, star alignments, and even their animal years, were written on the paper. On the other side were the birth dates, star alignments, and compatibility details for their unknown significant others.
“…” Penny forced a smile before facing Old Mrs. Pierson. “Ha ha… I’m sure they’d be very happy, Grandma. Uhm. How about I send this to them and discuss it with them?”
“Hehehe. Don’t bother, my dearest angel.” Old Mrs. Pierson waved dismissively before showing her phone. “I know you and Renren are quite busy with your dream of quadruplets and your businesses. I’m not so old that I don’t know how to use a phone!”
“The — the phone?”

Old Mrs. Pierson nodded proudly. “Slater taught me how to use it. He’s the one who bought this phone for me, saying it’s one of the best because he has a lot of photos on it. It’s a very special phone.”
“Oh…” Penny laughed awkwardly, her heart thudding as she could already imagine what had just happened and what she had gotten herself into. “Grandma, you’re saying…?”
“Hehe.” The corner of Old Mrs. Pierson’s mouth curled up as she wiggled her brows, nodding at Penny “reassuringly.” “I already sent them everything they needed and had sent the files to them.”
“Oh. So… soon?”
“Hehe. My dearest, when I met everyone and knew just how wonderful they were, I had been secretly searching for a suitable partner. Of course, I didn’t want to appear rude, so I didn’t say anything until now. All we had to do was filter the eligible women I had found initially according to their star alignments and chemistry.”
Penny’s mouth fell open before she forced a smile. However, her smile slowly crumpled as she realized just what she had done. “That means… Grandma? Did you really send them a message?”
“Yes!” Old Mrs. Pierson held Penny’s hand, patting it mildly. “So don’t worry anymore. I made sure they would agree, and that you wouldn’t worry anymore.”
But Penny was more worried now!
