Chapter 231: Innate Talent Awakening Pill
When Kent first arrived in the sect with his master, Elsa, Lilian, and Unity, he was stopped at the gate by the Sword Sect Gate Master.
Back then, Kent planned to dominate the sect in the coming days, but because of that incident, he had to make a sudden move, which landed him in the sword trial.
Then the day came, and he appeared in the arena.
But before the duel, he had to complete a quest, and that quest was to anger the Gate Master and let her aim her killing intent at him.
Kent didn’t suffer much, considering the Gate Master hated him back then because of his arrogance. This led to him and her starting off and continuing on the wrong foot.
But that was just a means to an end, and Kent won.
He also won a pill recipe he could use to make a pill called the Innate Talent Awakening Pill. The Quest reward was very generous…
This recipe was just a sample of a much larger recipe used to make a rather powerful pill of the same name but with different effects.
He must become a Pill King and qualify to make Tier 9 or 10 pills before he can attempt that.
But the Tier 3 version is equally awesome.
As the name suggests, this pill will awaken the innate talent of anyone who takes it. In other words, they will awaken their bloodlines, which will grant them certain aspects and then awaken some innate talents.
But that isn’t all. Innate talents are based on one’s Spirit Root Grade, so even if this pill doesn’t upgrade the spirit root, it will certainly enhance its effects, making the person much more talented.
This means just one pill can transform someone with mediocre talent into a powerhouse capable of rising to the peak.
However, that is the effect of the Tier 9 or 10 pill, which he can only concoct if and when he becomes a Pill King.
For the Tier 3 version, the person will only see an upgrade in their talent, which will be permanent, but it will depend on how talented the person who took it is.
There will be no bloodline awakening.
There will be no innate talent awakening.
And there will be no upgrade of their spirit root.
However, if one’s talent can take them as far as the Root Saint stage, then after taking the pill, they will have the talent to go as far as the Root Great Sage or even step into the Root Transcendent stage.
Root Great Sage is guaranteed.
This means all those stuck at the Root Sage stage for years now can have a chance to move forward. This isn’t a Realm Breakthrough Pill or a Realm Ascension Pill.
It enhances your cultivation talent and allows you to keep going.
Kent retrieved the ingredients he had bought from the Tower.
“I only have one portion of this, so I better do well not to concoct any bad pill,” Kent muttered to himself and then resumed heating the cauldron.
‘A pill is not a pill if it’s not 100% pure.’
That was what he read on the cover of the Primordial Pill records when he first got them. Now, he understood why.
Why take a pill if you will also accumulate impurities?
It had to be pure, meaning free of impurities, so you could gain all the benefits that came with the pill without any side effects.
“Perhaps I should try impurity removal pills next. Those will sell well, but I do not need the money anyway. I guess I will do it for the fame.”
Kent smiled and then tossed the first of 13 ingredients in. He followed up after a couple of minutes by tossing the second in.

He then proceeded with the rest, and in under 30 minutes, the essence was extracted, and he began condensing it while burning away impurities.
He was also doing his best to handle the burning away of too much essence.
“I wonder if one day I can extract the purest form of essence without any impurities in it,” he muttered, but he knew it was only a matter of time.
Another thirty minutes later, the pill formed, and now he was burning the last of the impurities. It took a couple of minutes, but he managed to handle that, and then he hardened the pill.
When the puff came, he smiled because Gaia was always ready to tell him whether he failed or not. Right now, even a 99.9% pure pill was a failure to him.
Thankfully, he had the talent for alchemy, too, so he managed to create yet another 100% pure pill for the day—his fifth.
⟪You have successfully concocted an Innate Talent Awakening Pill. Grade: Tier 3, Quality: Perfect. Purity: 100%.⟫
“This will do. It will make people keep talking about me until I make my name known during the Pill Master Competition.”
Kent smiled, knowing soon his status would rise by several degrees because he was the only one on the human continent capable of concocting perfect pills.
“I should probably remember my past and see if I can grow from it,” he sighed and lay back to catch some sleep because he was tired from the concoctions.
When he woke up, 8 days had passed, but it was only 8 hours on the outside. He quickly freshened up and went to the Tower City to meet Li Hua and the others.
“Big brother, I missed you so much,” Li Hua said, jumping into his embrace. She was training with Nyxira, the Umbral Elf, one of Elsa’s three Soul Sentinels.
“You were training, so I didn’t want to disturb you,” Kent said, forcing a smile.
“Yes, I’m growing very fast. Master Nyxira said I’m the rarest talent she has ever met, and I have the makings of a dangerous and powerful assassin,” Li Hua said, puffing out her chest.
“You are indeed the best. Just don’t give her too much trouble, okay?” Kent set her down.
“Okay, big brother. I’ll keep training nonstop,” she said before running away, leaving only Kent with Nyxira, Kael, and Kaelion.
They are the three soul sentinels Elsa currently has under her command.
“I have a mission for you. It’s just a delivery mission, but it must be done in secret,” Kent said to Nyxira. She was the assassin and the best suited for the task.
“I will do my best, my lord,” Nyxira said, bowing slightly, making Kent scratch the back of his head. It seemed they still wouldn’t call him by his real name.
Elsa had told him that was what they would call him for as long as they remained her Soul Sentinels. Perhaps, if she were to free them and let them have their own identities, it might change.
But she didn’t see that happening, considering no Soul Sentinel would be foolish enough to ask for that, especially not from an Astra Warden, a True Aether Warden.
“Also, you should be ready. In the coming days, someone will be taking you three on a mission where you will do some killing and, perhaps, some major rescue missions, depending on how everything goes.”
“We will be ready, my lord,” the three responded.
Kent retrieved a jade box worth at least 300,000 spirit stones and handed it to Nyxira. Then, he gave her a map with the residence of the Miller Noble family marked on it.
After giving her some more instructions, the two of them left the tower and appeared somewhere far from the sect.
“When you’re done, use the connection between you and the tower to enter. You won’t have to come here again before entering. You can enter from anywhere,” Kent said, and Nyxira nodded.
“Then, see you later.”
After parting ways, Kent headed toward Vastport City, where a certain manager was waiting for him to come and rock her world.
