Chapter 259: Challenging a Rude Sword Saintess
Kent had finally mastered the Rapid Slash, which is the first form of the Annihilation sword technique. This was a huge deal for him, considering his sword intent and sword qi has now reached the 6th level.
The quest to fuse the sword with the sword qi had also improved to 85% already, so he was basically at the peak of that sword skill.
However, what made Kent stay up for 6 whole days just thinking was the fact that after he mastered the skill which saw him unleashing 450 sword arcs with a single swing, his limit was reached.
It was like his body had reached the limit it could function with that skill. So for now, Kent who saw the need to surpass this stage was now thinking of how to push his body beyond that.
So the last 6 days was him just sitting in the [Stone of Enlightenment], thinking.
For now, he had only done loads of thinking. But in the process, he gains clarity, pushing the fusion to 95%, almost at the peak where he will then see if his enlightenment will show or not.
After six days, he stood up and was ready to head to the sword bridge and blow off some steam. However, before he can even take a single step, Gaia appears in front of him.
“We have a problem master,” She said plainly.
“What is it?” Kent asked. Right now, he wanted only one thing, and that was to fight something. Though he couldn’t break the limit, he was now confident he would win simply due to his sudden level-up and the stat points left to add.
He didn’t think the bridge would also have an undistributed point system, so he wanted to use that when needed.
Of course, even if the clone copied that too, he was confident this time. He was ready to handle the first challenge.
But Gaia’s warning was also important, so he had to hold back and listen first.
“Some sword saintess by the name of Val is at the gate of the Sword Gate, badmouthing your master and asking the sect to present the one they are calling the Monster of Sword Gate. She is asking for you.”
“Is that so?” He sighs
“Very well, I will go greet her,” Kent said. He changed his plans and left the tower. This lady seemed like the perfect stepping stone for him.
At the Sword Gate entrance, a striking beauty with blonde hair and brown eyes could be seen sneering at the elders facing her in what seemed to be a standoff.
It’s even weird to say she was the one winning, considering she held a sneer while the elders wore a frown. The verbal battle wasn’t going their way… not even in the slightest.
The lady they are facing is Sword Saintess Val from the Everlasting Immortal Sword Sect. They are the number one sword sect in the entire Athea Kingdom and perhaps the entire four kingdoms.
This lady, however, is one of the five swords Saintess the Everlasting Immortal Sword Sect had produced. She is talented with the sword, and so is she with her mouth.
They said when you face her in battle, just her vulgar words are enough to make you wish for her to stab you through the heart and be done with it.
Her words are rather dehumanizing.
“Old Lu, I heard the reason you couldn’t settle down was because your second sword couldn’t handle the sword qi like your fellow men. Do you perhaps need me to cut the burden off?” she asked, causing an elder to grit his teeth.
“Gritting your teeth wouldn’t fix the gaps in them,” she added, making Elder Lu want to move and give her a good smacking.
Sword Saintess Val just smiled.
She came to the Sword Gate mainly for two things. First, she wanted to challenge Saintess Selene, who had already defeated her twice.
Of course, she wasn’t convinced, so she came for her when she got the chance to leave the Everlasting Immortal Sword Sect.
The second was to find a way to bring Kent to their side. The Everlasting Immortal Sword Sect is a place where only swordsmen can be found.
In fact, they hated Kent, but if he were to join them, he would be treated like a delicate flower.
That is how much they cherish their disciples. It’s either you join them or die.
She wanted to make a bet with Saintess Selene: if she won the duel, Kent would become her disciple and join the Everlasting Immortal Sword Sect.

So, until Saintess Selene came out, she wouldn’t stop insulting the Sword Gate elders.
Thus, the Gate Master, who knew her character, chose not to come out and continued to watch from afar as the loudmouth Saintess bathed her elders in all kinds of mud.
This had been going on for 20 whole minutes until Gaia went to call Kent. Now, the elders were losing all restraint, and if they weren’t held back, they might just commit murder.
“I’ve seen a lot of cowards for Lord knows how long, but this is my first time seeing a sect full of cowards portrayed as sect elders. I have to say, I look down on the Sword Gate and the sect as a whole,” she sneered.
The elders were finally fed up, so they drew their weapons and were about to lunge at her when a calm yet arrogant voice spoke.
“I’ve seen loads of ugly bitches in my time, and let me tell you, I’ve lived for 18 years already, but this is my first time seeing a beautiful lady who is ugly on the inside. I have to say, my eyes are opened today,” Kent said, walking forward with a calm expression on his face.
The Saintess, who had just been insulted on a soul-deep level, narrowed her eyes at the handsome fellow who had appeared.
“You’re him,” she said, looking hungrily at Kent.
“I was told you were badmouthing my master. Care to explain why?” Kent asked.
“Because I came for your head. If she dares to accept and loses, you will become my disciple and forever be my servant,” she arrogantly declared.
Kent smirked and said, “My master doesn’t accept challenges from weaklings, but since you’re here, I can only discipline you for insulting my seniors.”
Kent spoke like a righteous monk, but his gaze said, *I dare you to accept.*
