Chapter 263: Kent vs Sword Saintess Val (3)
“Sword Drilling,” the Saintess murmured. The three flying swords in the air shifted and merged, their tips touching to form a spinning drill.
Her profound qi was coating the tip ,making it appear deadly.
The drill shot toward Kent, its speed blinding.
The Saintess wasn’t joking with the brat anymore, so she unleashed a rather powerful attack she had created years ago and mastered to a level she could boldly use in battle.
Kent’s eyes narrowed, and he blinked away, intending to evade the attack, but the next second, the drill reappeared on his left.
It appeared so sudden that he had no time to evade, so he made the only move he had—he defended.
Kent coated his sword with sword qi and swung at the drill, aiming to deflect it.
But just as his blade was about to meet the spinning drill, it split into three separate swords, simultaneously attacking from three different directions.
The drill was just a trojan horse. The main attack was the three swords breaking away when they got close to their target.
Kent was caught off guard, but his reflexes kicked in. He twisted his body, narrowly avoiding the worst of the attack.
Still, a shallow cut appeared on his forehead, a thin line of blood trickling down. The sword wanted to take his throat away, but he was fast enough to evade.
He wiped the blood away with the back of his hand, his expression darkening. “Clever,” he muttered, his grip tightening on his sword. “But not clever enough.”
“Rapid Slash”
Kent swung his sword, and this time, 350 sword arcs buzzed into existence, causing every last one watching to widen their eyes in shock.
“What the fuck is going on?” a disciple shouted, watching the Saintess’s eyes darken as she sustained a few cuts from the arcs she couldn’t defend against.
The attack was simply too deadly. Kent was using both intent and qi, so the arcs weren’t simple in any way.
Kent’s motivation for mastering this technique was to counter the clone. However, he failed to notice that the Saintess lacked the skill set to counter his.
Having a superior cultivation base is good, but so is having a higher grade and tier skills. Kent’s skill is divine grade, and he had mastered it using a level 6 Enhanced sword intent.
This alone is enough to tell you just how deadly the attacks had become.
She is stronger and faster, but she doesn’t have the required skills to counter his attacks.
She managed to defend herself by using a cyclone-type skill. But now that Kent had infused intent into his sword qi, the attack became incredibly lethal.
It rained down on her, causing everyone, including the two gate masters watching, to widen their eyes in astonishment.
Kent unleashed the Rpaid slash again, sending 350 arcs at the Saintess, who was getting pushed back gradually.
The Gate master now wore a shocked expression on her face. She could tell the Saintess was nearing her end simply because she wasn’t able to keep up with the attacks raining down on her.
In fact, keeping up was an underestimate.
She was practically helpless against them.
The reason is simple.
The blades raining down on her are just too much to counter. Kent is using just 350; however, the force behind those 350 isn’t something that can be considered simple.
“You are probably regretting looking down on him,” Gate Master Camilla, who was equally shocked, said.
She may have placed her bet on Kent winning, but now that he is indeed doing the winning, she couldn’t believe it.

He was fighting a Sword Saint for fuck sake.
Who is a Sword Saint?
Someone who had mastered the sword to a stage where they earned three enlightenment, transformed their sword qi and intent from Enhanced stage to Profound stage.
Someone whose understanding of the sword is several times stronger than Kent’s. So, how is he doing that?
Of course, Kent may now be experiencing this thanks to his memories of Jest, but he hadn’t reached the level of putting a sword Saint in that corner.
In fact, she is someone Kent shouldn’t even have lasted a minute against.
To become a Saint or Saintess in the Kingdom, one had to face challenges from hundreds of swordsmen. The battle to determine that is several times aggressive
So whoever gets the title of a Saint or Saintess of any weapons path is respected, and even the Kings would have to obey and listen to them.
Perhaps, after reviewing all this, that was why the Gate master came to the conclusion that Kent wouldn’t last a minute against Saintess Val.
The last time she saw Kent was a day ago when he came out of the Sword Garden.
She saw he had gained some insight into things, but she wasn’t considering that, considering it had only been a couple of days, and he didn’t even go to the Tower as she suggested.
So she wasn’t expecting much from him.
Of course, if only she knew it had been 24 productive days for Kent inside his tower.
He spent those days further taking his Fusion technique to 95% and his rapid slash skill to the peak while even the sword mind cultivation was at 4600 sword plays.
He had transformed these past days, and thanks to his ladies, he was able to add 2,000 more points to his agility, enabling him to keep up with the Saintess, who just couldn’t understand how he was moving.
Whenever she got close to attack, he would just blink away from existence.
This wasn’t how she had envisioned the battle going.
She was shocked and panicking, considering she was getting hurt by the second. Kent wasn’t holding back on her at all.
The audience arent doing much better, considering the battle hadn’t even reached an hour yet, but Kent had taken control of the fight.
The two gate masters were also in a state of shock, watching the golden sword arcs buzzing like bees as they rained down on the Saintess. Her defense was gradually crumbling.
The last person who was shocked was Kent himself.
It’s true he knew the fusion would be strong, but he never expected his level 6 Enhanced Sword Qi and intent to be this monstrous.
The additional 2,000 points had boosted his stamina, so he wasn’t feeling any discomfort from using the skill so extensively.
However, the shock came from the fact that, despite using the skill, the outcome wasn’t what he had anticipated.
He had to give it to the Saintess; she was good—really talented—to the point where she nearly ended the battle a couple of times.
Her Profound Qi and intent were at the level 2 stage. However, she couldn’t counter the sword arcs.
This meant that although Kent was at the Enhanced stage, the true foundation of his intent and Qi was in no way simple. In fact, he could tell his intent should be nearing the Profound stage by now.
He was pushing the Saintess back with every swing of his sword, and right now, the whole arena was quiet, shock written on their faces.
The only sound coming was the buzzing sound of the golden sword arcs.
